I have been to this gamestop before to purchase a ps5, i had no issues the staff was friendly and helped me out. But the second time I went my boyfriend called to see if they had a preowned game in stock a woman said let me check. she comes back and just says "okay we have it." We were going to get there at about 7:55pm, and had made sure to call also if it was okay to come in right before closing. The lady was pretty bland on the phone. So we travel about 15 mins just to get to this gamestop and once we get there immediately she says "were you the one that called, well i can't find it." it was really upsetting because we travelled all that way just to not get the game after she said she had it in stock. read more

I Love this company & I love the staff here at this location. They always give me great recommendations and feedback when it comes to games. They are very rich with product knowledge. They haven't been wrong yet! The staff is friendly and VERY consistent when offering me their rewards card at check-out. I have yet to get it because I don't wanna pay for it. I have never had any issues with this company, but this location has a lack of management and organization. My sister pre ordered an Xbox that was supposed to be a Christmas gift. The console just came out yesterday and per policy when items are preordered a person has 48 hours to pick up. Today when she went to pick it up she was told that her pre-order was sold to another customer. I would like to know what is the point of a pre-order? Is this a common practice this store has? I would hope that corporate whips this store into shape or they will be losing a lot of business. read more

Had a horrible experience with an extremely unprofessional employee there on Monday night... A little context first. My friend and his girlfriend recognized a former employee on Facebook sometime last week and sent her a message asking her if she did indeed use to work there. Innocuous . Nothing weird or mean spirited or anything snarky. My "friend",another friend,and I go there Monday night to pre-order some games. So "unprofessional employee",helping us out with our orders,whips out his phone and shows us a picture of my "friend" and his "girlfriend",WTF!, and asks if that's him in the pic. Why the pic of my friends are on his phone was creepy. He proceeds to tell us that the girl they messaged through Facebook is his girlfriend. He demands to know why we're((he's insinuating I'm in on this too ,now) sending her weird message(s) and basically verbalizes to us that we're stalkers. We were all taken aback by these crazy accusations. He was loud enough for the whole store to hear this and seemed to go out of this way to embarrass us.which he succeeding in doing. What kind of employee does something like that. Especially in the middle of trying to sell customers games. My friend was gonna preorder another four games before Unprofessional Employee decided to make us feel like perverted losers. There's a time and place to handle all situations. the poor judgement on his part has lost this particular Gamestop atleast three long time customers who've dropped thousands of dollars over the past few years at this particular Gamestop. I have to agree for the most part with Dillane E's review of the Highland Game Stop. The staff here is usually friendly and helpful. I never feel like a "old fogey gamer" (I'm 42) when I'm asking one of the (much younger) associates here for a game recommendation or request. Its located a few doors down from Wal-Mart in Highland, and I'm glad to see it weathering the storms of the iffy economy out there. Its usually clean and well stocked, with a big screen tv showing game trailers. A couple minor things keeps it from getting a 5th star from me. Firstly, their selection of PC games has been getting smaller and smaller. I have a ps3, sure... but I prefer gaming on my pc; and its hard to find a good selection of PC games outside of a Best Buy anymore. I'd really like to see this chain emphasize their selection a bit more. 2ndly, their is usually a big turnaround of staff. It'd be nice to see some regular faces from time to time to be able to talk all things gaming about; and the staff that's there are always pushing their rewards cards without adequately explaining their benefits. Still and all.. I like coming in here to pour through their selection of used games..especially when they are having their buy 2 get one free sales. I have a niece and nephew with a ps2..and it makes finding fun stuff for them for the holidays kinder on my budget. All in all a great store. Certainly worth a visit! read more

So after I tried to trade in games for a new game they did not have it in stock, my thoughts have changed about this location. First of all it was dead, I was completely alone in there for about 10 minuets. Normally I don't complain about that because the citrus plaza location could have a line out the door at the same time of day. This store had zero a/c. It was like 10 degrees hotter inside than outside which made it miserable to even stand in the store. My review is changing based on the employee who I was dealing with. Since they didn't have the game in stock and no idea when they would get the next copies in this salesman was pretty pushy to try and have me sell my games and buy a worthless cheap game to get a couple more dollars out of the trade in put on some sort of credit. The whole reason I would even sale games to GameStop is 1. They are old and I'm never going to play them again. 2. Its like not having to pay for a game I specifically want to be playing when I have the chance to get on ps4 by getting ride of games I never play. 3. I always trade in a couple of games to get over half the price off a new game a year. Now what in the hell makes this guy think I'm going to sell games I don't want and don't play to buy a game I don't want and will never play just to get $10 or more for the trade in value. Money is never an issue, if target let you trade in games I wouldn't be in the store at all. And for a game that came out at the end of June, to not have any copies and no clue when your getting more was a huge disappointment when walmart and target have plenty in stock. Pretty much never going to this location again though and will most likely visit the citrus plaza location and get cash value if they don't have the copy in stock and then just go to target! read more

Ordered a game for curbside pick up. Received email saying it was ready. Spent a hour waiting outside of the store because the employees were not answering the phone. (They said they were in the back of the store.....without the phone) Finally got my game. Go home and pop it in, unable to install due to the disc being dirty and scratched. Contact Gamestop store, they advise me they will not accept returns, will not switch out my disc or refund me until they go back to normal operating hours. Wasted my time and money, I also don't have the game I want to play. Probably the last time I use Gamestop for any purchases. read more

I had purchased a game here using store credit and a gamestop rewards gift certificate when I had found out that the game I purchased had already been bought for a family member so I went straight back to return it. They said that I could only receive back the store credit (as store credit) but would not receive the part paid with the reward certificate. That is not fair. I worked hard to save up those points not to be able to receive them back. I am fine with store credit but they said it couldn't be done. Store credit requires you to use it there so where did they think I was gonna go. I am so done with GameStop as a whole. read more
