I was actually in search of a new record so called a few days ahead of time to ask if they had it. They said no, but also sounded like they had no idea what I was asking for (even though it was listed on their website). But low and behold there was two copies on the rack. I was also able to find a great numbered edition of 10 Year Anniversary edition of a record that came out three years ago, which I was very stoked about. Selection is mostly new, with a variety of used mixed in. I am typically after new(ish) punk and they had a decent selection (albeit it was mixed in with hardcore and metal). I totally could have bought a bunch more records but constrained myself.

Games, movies, music. Old and new, there's tons of every type of media in the store. Everything from Atari and Sega CD to Nintendo Switch and PS5. Even got to chatting with the owner for some time, very nice guy! Places like this are a rarity nowadays in the disposable world of convenient streaming, but I love being able to peruse the aisles. Streaming titles come and go, and it can't recreate the feeling of owning something and using it over and over again. This store isn't a relic of the past, it's an iconic place that is genuinely timeless.

When we arrived the store had already had a table set up with balloons and such to add a nice touch. It was nice of them to also allow her to promote her artwork as well as an abstract artist. It was a good crowd for a Sunday, she sold most of her books and made a bunch of connections too. The store aloud her to stay a little later than her allotted time with the traffic that she drew in. A success in both our eyes. I was able to walk around the store and look around so she could do her thing at times. I found the place fascinating, I draw mazes so I was really into the puzzle area of the store looking for such books. The children's area brought back memories of books that were once read to me. There are games, legos, and much more throughout the store. I don't read much, have picked up a book more within the last year though. I can always find something at a tag sale for a quarter so spending money here seems silly short term. Could see myself doing some last minute Christmas shopping here though in a punch knowing what is inside.

I was able to purchase some future birthday presents like gag gifts, rubber chickens and party supplies like plates and cups from Frozen - Disney. What a great deal. They even had a large selection of fun t - shirts and flip flops to swim shoes for kids. To my biggest surprise I even found some great work out gear like weights, jump rope and resistance bands among yoga gear etc. The only possible way to make this store even better by having a grocery goods section. I can only conclude that they applied for every scientific grant available to the public, as only a team of 12+ scientists armed to the teeth with quantum physics doctorates could come up with the tech requirements involved in microinjecting every atomic molecule in the place with geekgamosity, as this shop demonstrates it HAS, in fact, achieved for itself. Overinvolved descriptors and joking aside, there's nothing like a comic and collectible shop owned by people who have a true love for it all to go to. It's not uncommon for a newbie in a game/first time customer to feel a bit out of their depth, especially when a lot of gaming shops are prone to, um... having an 'elitist flavor' to them. But whether you're a young girl concerned over "common cultures" that can get in the way of the fun or an insecure guy who knows the difference between 'newbie' and 'n00b', leave those issues at the door here. The staff they have are just as friendly as they are knowledgeable, and even if a customer comes by with a super-obscure subject of geek-fun they haven't come across yet, they'll gladly spend time with that customer researching it to see if they can't fulfill your every oddball want and need (and perhaps most importantly, wont pretend they "know" to keep their uber-geek status intact... they seem to LIKE not knowing things and will ask YOU all about it to find out more). The owner is extremely hands-on, on-site more than most business owners and treats every customer like a valued regular, even if it's your first time there. In general, it has the best welcoming, all-inclusive gaming-community feel every shop in the field should have. I was glad to hear they'd opened their second space in the Eastfield Mall in Springfield, as spreading their brand of gaming-fun makes for fantastic influence. So big ups to you guys, and many thanks from a helluva-happy customer! Anyone who spent the time looking this up and finding my review, your search is over. Unlock achievement now and GO.

This shop has some arcade machines in the front, a very solid movie selection, retro toys for sale, and of course, a bunch of retro video games, accessories, and consoles to pick up if thats what you need. My current "looking for" list is pretty much just Gamecube games and Criterion Blu Rays, so I was super stoked to stumble across a copy of The Graduate when I didn't see any Gamecube games I was looking for.
