There aren't very many video rental stores left in this country and it's a damn shame! It used to…read morebe a Friday afternoon tradition to go to the video store and pick out a handful of horror movies to last the weekend. Invite a bunch of friends over, make some popcorn and just enjoy the weekend. Although it is more convenient to just be able to turn on your television and stream something you would like to watch without having to leave your home, it is not the same experience. Kevin is an amazing human being for keeping this tradition alive. He has a diverse selection of hard to find films and he will search for and order in films that you are looking for. He does this for the love of the genre and has regular customers that look to him for the next great release. You can rent or buy from The Lobby. He also has an amazing collection of memorabilia and there is always something good playing on the TV in the room. There is a nice comfy couch if you want to hang out and watch for a while as well. It can be tricky to find; it is in the basement underneath the daycare. There is parking meters located in the front of the building, so yes, there is parking! Please bring cash, Kev doesn't have Interac. There is a bank located in the same block though so it's not so bad if you forget. There is a Facebook Page for The Lobby. Sometimes the business hours can be a bit funky with things going on. Best to check there to see how late the store is open.

Everything seems stuck in the 90's. The movie posters...the decor...the sign outside that says "N64 and Playstation Games!." Very 1996. The rental prices are cheaper than Blockbuster, but Blockbuster will have a better and more recent selection.

The guy came across as an elitist with his nose in the air just because he worked at a game store I guess?? (I was applying for PT work...I called him on his shit attitude before I left...I didn't get a call back...haha) My second issue is their prices, but not in the way you might think. Some of their games were outrageously over priced, while some were dirt cheap when they should cost much more. I also came across a game in their bargain bin that they also had locked up in the showcase (same game with two very different price tags). So I guess my issue was their inconsistent pricing. That being said, if you know your games you could potentially snipe a good title for cheap.

This is a big store with a huge selection of used video games and consoles. They also sell some…read moregame/movie type merchandise probably similar to what any other used video game store would. The prices are probably pretty competitive to other used game stores but they surely aren't anywhere near the cheapest place to find games. I have bought a few games here but if the prices were better I would probably shop here more often.

Many of the collectibles and comics are quite valuable (meaning: expensive) but fun to look at nonetheless. I occasionally grab something out of the bargain bin just for laughs, like a Magneto or Batman figurine. I've also taken advantage of the bargain comics which are fifty cents or a dollar each, and come away with some interesting titles. This isn't the right place to head if you are looking for the newest titles in comics. There are also a lot of items you would never expect to find in a store like this, such as statues, armour, and medieval weapons.

It was a huge inconvenience to him that people wanted to browse his wares and maybe buy his stuff. He was explicitly clear that we had very little time to view his wares and would have to leave, then confronted me because my phone was turned on. Unbelievable. Never had an experience like this in any retail environment.

And the selection of toys! Incredible! My daughter was in heaven! Tons of sensory stuff - slime, squishies, glitter wands, a massive selection of Nee-Doh, etc etc. They also sell Schleich figurines, bunch of kits/sets for science, magic, gems, etc, and other "regular" toys. We mainly stayed in the toy section, so we didn't venture over to the hobby side, but it looked like there was tons of stuff. Place was clean and well organized.
