We went to purchase a pokemon lego item that was in the box that said $3, there were multiple. They rang in at full price so we questioned it, showed the cashier the box and they took it back to the till and told us someone must have put it in the wrong box. There were at least 10 - 12 in the box. There was no acknowledgement just telling us it would be full price and asking if we wanted it. It was tagged at a certain price it should have been adjusted as the scanning code of practice states. When i said that i was ignored and asked if there would be anything else. When I said it should be the price it is tagged at, they rang my son through and I was told to have a good day. That is not right. It was tagged at a certain price with multiple of the same item in the box. If that is how Indigo operates I will not shop here any more. read more

Chapters is the Canadian bookstore chain most similar to Barnes and Noble or Borders. They and Indigo are owned by the same Corporation and have a certain flair that you don't usually see in most US chain bookstores. This Chapters is tucked away within Sherwood Park and seems to be popular with locals and those of us here on business looking for a place to hang out during our free time. The book selection is decent and the magazine section is generous. There's also a coffee shop attached and a good selection of stationary, journals, and gifts. read more

Brutal. So disappointed. Arrived around 10:15 on a Sunday to exchange a tog that had come s as apart after oonly 2 days. Not their fault. No big deal. Take toy to...kids department as well...that's where it came from. There is only one woman ahead of me at the till. Behind the counter is the woman working the register. Beside her, is what I assume...is her coworker. After the employee and customer finish all their chatting and planning of gift wrap (about 5 minutes) if is now my turn to be served. Or so I thought. The afor mentioned coworker now pipes up and tells me to go to the main store register. "Why? I just waited in this line" "Because this clerk has three other customers to wrap gifts for." "But they aren't here...and I have been waiting?" "Sorry. She is too busy" he says. "Hows about you wrap the gifts and the clerk serves me" I suggest. I guess that bothered him. "Don't talk to me like that" he says Lol Like what. Like a customer expecting service? Two staff infront of me. One working. The other telling me to go wait in another line. So in the intrrest of not completely coming unglued on this....person...I went to other line. After waiting in main line, I desxribe the troublesome staffer to this clerk. This is the biggest Indigo/Chapters I have ever been in. It is practically overwhelming. There is a huge kids' section, lots of gift ideas, and plenty of books. I could easily spend hours here. read more

Most of the time when I am looking for a new release book I usually find myself at the large Indigo by Northgate mall however I have recently been spending more time in Sherwood Park and have had the pleasure of visiting this Chapters now on several different occasions. The selection is pretty similar to what you would find at other Chapter's stores as well as Indigo. If your a mystery lover however you may want to visit here as they have a much better variety then I have gotten at WEM Chapters as well as my beloved North side Indigo. Also I noticed they don't offer as much of the home decor gifts like the fancy throw pillows and candle holders which I am quite pleased with as I am not a fan. Quite frankly if I wanted that stuff I would go to Homesense but I don't and it takes up valuable room that could be used for books. It takes a little bit of effort to find staff members and it feels like they just don't have enough people out on the floor here to handle the size of this store. However when you do find someone the customer service is superb. I had a great conversation today with a lady working there who is a mystery lover like myself. She was able to give a very helpful description of a few books I may find interesting because they didn't have what I was looking for today. She was also kind enough to print off the listing from their website for the book I was looking for to make it easier for any staff member I approached the next time I was in store to see if more copies had arrived. I always enjoy my time in this store and whether your a visitor like myself or a Sherwood Park resident I strongly believe you would enjoy this store too. read more

I thoroughly enjoy coming to this Chapters. It's clean and well organized, albeit a little smaller than some of the other chains of the store. It has the usual wide array of selection packed into its shelves. This location is never really busy- although the Starbucks can get quite packed. There's always a few staff members roaming around the store, who are very attentive and friendly. The only reason I took off a star is because there aren't really any chairs around this store. So if you were hoping to sit around and browse before buying, you aren't really in luck. (Unless you don't mind the floor. But the aisles are pretty small and you'd probably end up blocking things off.). Other than that, it's a great location! read more

Very disappointed by the manager's service. I came in looking for gifts for my grandchildren, and the girl in the kids' department was very kind and helpful. While I was shopping in other areas of the store I asked for assistance from an associate, who unfortunately was not helpful and I found to be quite rude. I had multiple questions about pricing and stock, and he was very impatient and did not seem interested in assisting me. I later found out this staff member was a manager, which is even more disappointing. While I do enjoy shopping at Sherwood Park Indigo, as the selection is great and the customer service from the girls in the kids' section is amazing, the fact that a manager provided such poor customer service and was rude does not encourage me to return. read more

This Chapters location is the best of all of them! Sadly, I live in Edmonton so it's quite a drive to Sherwood Park, but I do make it to this Chapters 3 or 4 times a year. The customer service is always spectacular, and they all want to see satisfied customers. Just yesterday, I interacted with three different lady employees, and every one of them helped me out, with one of them conversing with me about my philosophy about society for a few minutes. :) The one cashier, Kendall, was so helpful and friendly, that I went to the Chapters website to complete a survey and mentioned her name. read more

Selection is pretty much like other Chapters, but staff is even better. Went on Christmas Eve for a few last minute gifts and four different staff asked if I needed help. One guy spent 10 minutes trying to find a book for me. Really great customer service. read more

I buy almost every gift here! They have a beautiful selection in all ages kids toys and science kits and craft kits! Ive even gotten a beer making kit and wedding gifts galore! Recently was stumped for gift ideas for a baby shower and found some really cut towels with animal themes like a duck towel and an elephant super cute. They staff are always quite friendly and not pushy which i appreciate since i frequent here often on my breaks. Definitely one of my top five fave stores! read more

This is not a review about the store in general, this is a review about its employees. Earlier this evening a friend and I were attacked outside of the sherwood park mall right by chapters. A man approached us girls and started complaining about my parking spot (he said I parked in handicapped). Anyways, I was in a hurry to get home to my children and this man, he blocked my vehicle in with his body and wouldn't let me leave. My friend got out of the car to ask him to move and he attacked her. I made her get back in the vehicle to drive while I got the man to move. He then attacked me. I then protected myself in defense to him and yelled for help while people walked by staring and people drive past us while this man had me by my clothing. I finally got my car backed up when he blocked us from the front. It wasn't until a man came out and asked if we needed help that the man moved. I then drove away to later be pulled over by the police. The rcmp told me that there were 3 chapters employees standing outside who witnessed me hit this man. I am absolutely stunned that there were three employees watching all this happen and not one helped me when I screamed for help!!! I frequent this store and will NEVER go there again. There is not a better Chapters around. I love the Sherwood Park store. I was in Sherwood Park last night and saw Chapters lit up like it was open. Very happily went to the door and it was closed. Not only was i disappointed that it was closed the Starbucks attached was dark as were all the other stores that are visible from the outside of the mall.
