The employees here are great but the store is consistently opening an hour or two late and closing an hour or two early.

After my last Gamestop review, I didn't think that I was going back the the Dentist's chair so soon.... My son was successful in convincing Gayle and me to bring his X-Box up to Genoa for the big family weekend. However, we didn't factor in multiple play requests among the boys and men at the house. The wireless X-Box controller goes for around $50 here and at Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy. However, we settled on a wired and glow-in-the-dark version for $30 at Gamestop. The counter person was friendly and helpful and we were in and out in a flash. read more

Horrible communication. I called ahead of time, when they opened at 12pm. They had 1 Nintendo Switch Lite Coral in stock. I had requested them to hold onto it for me, because I am not a local of Carson City, even left a name for pick up. When my husband gets there, a rudely associate tells my husband, there were no notifications about the product supposed to be reserved for us, and the associate also tells him, "I just sold it 15 minutes ago". So I call back to see what is going on, and to be told "we had already switch staff out" and the guy I spoke to earlier "didn't leave any notes". Convenient for them to switch staff out just 1 hour after opening. The employee calls me back on trying to remedy the situation on having the Gray Nintendo Switch Lite being delivered from a Reno location, to their store, but I have told the employee that I live in Reno, why would I want to travel back to Carson City, and this is why I called at their opening time at 12, to hold it for me! I whole hearted believe my husband and I are being lied to. read more

I had finally received my PlayStation five after a year of waiting and then an emergency happened so I had to take it back and the manager was not supposed to take it back with an open box but because he had not provided me that information when I bought it he held the greatest integrity I've ever seen in a store manager! The employees are hiding all the discount and coveted figures, they refuse to help with preorders or do any kind of footwork. I will never go there again. read more

Bullies. For years I have been going to opening events for games and standing in line for hours to be the first one. Now that the management has switched they think its funny to let me stand there for hours and then ten minutes before midnight they decide to start the line from inside the store. I go there all the time and to me, I spend lots of money on games. Been the most loyal of patrons and then they treat me like a second rate fool standing outside. I would never complain but now this is the third time and they have taken all the fun out of me coming five hours early because I love the games and I love video game stop. Your staff are BULLIES. You really don't know how bad this affects bad someone. read more
