I had to purchase the yearly software Micro 365, and was told to call the Geek Squad to get a refund on the Micro Home at $179. I did and got the refund. The price seemed suspiciously cheap and honestly should've been a red flag, but we still decided to buy 2 booster bundles. Huge mistake. As soon as we started opening the packs, we immediately noticed something was wrong. The packs clearly appeared to be resealed (see pictures). There were visible glue marks, loose/opened pack seals, sticky edges, and some packs were barely sealed at all. The packaging did not feel authentic whatsoever. Out of all the 12 packs we open, we got 2 ex and a trainer. Nothing great and all the hits has been taken out. This is how you know that these booster bundle are RESEALED! This place is either knowingly selling resealed Pokémon products or buying inventory from a shady third-party source without checking authenticity. Either way, customers are getting scammed. This probably explains why nobody goes to their table at the card show. AVOID THIS JANKY ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL COST. Would not recommend anyone buy Pokémon packs, boxes, tins etc... they are selling RESEALED POKÉMON. Wow! The owner attacked me for leaving a honest review. I was only trying to warn others. The owners reply twice on the same day hours apart. Clearly someone is mad. Wtf! Does my personal problem or having a bad day has to do with resealed packs that I open? The owner is mad that they got caught selling resealed packs and it's going to ruined their reputation for scamming me for $80. They want to protect the goods and let's be honest here folks. People NO LONGER care about others property. People are so careless and have an attitude of, 'Oh, well, too bad' and don't care if they stain something that now has to be written off. You may not like it, but be respectful. It's really not that hard folks. I hope that they change it up a little though and bring in more stuff. I also hope that someday people will understand that this is a collectables store with stationery.

Last week I (a visibly black/poc man) went into the store just to browse around for a gift and at first saw another customer who I thought was the worker. As I walked further into the store this customer left and that's when the worker and I both noticed each other. She was playing some good music at first that I really liked so I noticed when the next song started playing but abruptly stopped. The music cut off only to be replaced by LOUD chimp and monkey noises. At first I was shocked and thought maybe it was a mobile game or a ringtone but the ape noises continued to play for AT LEAST 30 seconds plus there was a distinct pause in the music followed by the sounds. I finally looked back at the employee and when I turned back around the sounds stopped playing after a few seconds only for them to be replaced by music. I walked around the store some more because i genuinely could not register what happened and was trying to make sense of the situation. As I circled around the store though I realized that the noises were STILL playing just very faintly to which they only stopped when I looked back at the worker again. I left the store after telling my friends and partner about it over the phone, but could not focus on anything else because I was just so disgusted and angry. I'm sure no one will get in trouble because people like that tend to stick together but I just had to leave a complaint because it has continued to bother me even after several days. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but the fact that it played for so long and multiple times leads me to believe it was purposeful, not a badly timed ringtone or game.

As I've taken my guilty pleasure of thrifting rather than buying new, I stumbled across one of the…read moretop independent thrift stores to serve the capital city of Nevada. Located on the right hand side of eastbound Highway 50 and about a mile east of Highway 580 in Carson City, "Classy Seconds Thrift Shop" has been one of the main go-to thrift stores dating back to the late-1990's. Since I do not live in this area, this was my first opportunity as I got to check this place out which was during the afternoon on Friday 6/19/2026 at around 2:45pm. The location itself is not hard to miss as the building is very visible from the main highway. To actually get into the dedicated parking lot involves having to turn right on Brown St. and make another right on Gordon St. where the main entrance is. Since this is a fairly sizable and open space area, parking should never be an issue, no matter what day or time you come. The building itself is a clay grey shade complete with avocado green lettering. And for those wondering, they are open 7 days a week; Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Once inside, you will see how spacious the layout is with approximately 10,000 square feet of floor space and ample room to walk with a shopping cart. As for the variety of items that are offered, this place carries everything from mens/womens/kids clothing, shoes, houseware items, books, CDs/DVDs, furniture, small appliances, seasonal items, knick/knacks, and accessories. The one real advantage is that the prices here are quite competitive and even lower than the bigger major chain thrift stores such as Goodwill and Salvation Army. During my visit, I ended up buying a few summer polo shirts while my lady bought some mason jars and a small office organizer for her cubicle at work. Best of all, the money donated to this business helps support advocates to end domestic violence and services for survivors of family violence and victims of sexual assault. This goes hand-in-hand since the "Sexual Assault Response Advocates" (SARA) building is directly next door to Classy Seconds. With above average customer service, a decent selection of items, and very affordable prices, I am giving "Classy Seconds Thrift Shop" an above average four-star rating.

The lady at the register said "they are on the board". There were atleast 10 different "sales" listed on the board. I stated that is a lot to read. She was not interested. Thankfully, a kind gentleman shouted "red tags half off, yellow tags $1". Thank you. That works for me. Then while we were shopping another lady who I assumed was in charge yelled at 2 teen volunteers to stay on task or she would clock them out. It was uncomfortable for me and another shopper and we even talked to each other about it. They should not have been reprimanded in front of customers. Other than that this was a worthy stop.

Since early 2020, Linda has been inviting me into the back of the store to buy items before they are made available to the public. I have an eBay store, and she would have me "volunteer" some weeks--up to four days a week for several hours at a time. She asked me to wear a badge and not speak to anyone. During this time, I would separate the shoes I wanted to purchase in the back and then take the remaining pairs out to the sales floor. Over time, this evolved into me doing hours of work in exchange for being allowed to select inventory first. The owner of Affordable Home Furnishings, Guyla, and Linda have been doing this for many years. When Jeanette was the manager, this would occur on days when Jeanette was not present, particularly with furniture. Linda has also accepted gifts exceeding the allowed $100 monetary limit. She has given me pink-tag items as gifts, including one jacket priced at over $100. Recently, after previously giving me discounted prices, Linda questioned why I was bringing up price differences. When I mentioned the times she had gifted or discounted items for me, she claimed she did not recall those instances. She has now told me that I am no longer allowed to return to the store. When I asked why, Linda stated, "That's what the courts said," but refused to elaborate. For example, I recently purchased a pair of shoes that were missing shoelaces. I mentioned that shoelaces cost about $4, and she gave me a discount. She even said she enjoys negotiating with me. However, about a week later, when I questioned a price difference on T-shirts while checking out with another associate, she became enraged. She told me that I am no longer allowed to purchase items like shirts for $1.99, even though I had done so in the past, and that she personally considers those shirts to be worth $5. I asked her what I should do as a customer if one associate rings up an item at one price, but another believes it should be higher. I also asked whether, if I were purchasing a dry-fit polyester Nike T-shirt with a standard logo, I should request to be charged $5 instead. She did not have an answer. I asked the associate at the register, after she left, what I was supposed to do in that situation, and he responded that he did not know. I have concrete photo and video evidence of these events.

It was filled with dishware, old school suitcases, sewing machines, scales, etc. I spotted a 4' Darth Vader that was still in the box for $299. It was 20% off, and the lady said they'd have an extra 25% off on Labor Day. After the discounts, more reasonably priced. If it was a storm trooper, I'd snatch it up.
