Sometimes we like going to porn stores together, just to explore. We figured that it would be a great way to diversify our shopping experience. What was intended to be something fun really put a sour taste in my mouth (no pun intended). From what little my best friend and I did see, there was a slim selection of toys, nothing special but nothing that would be a good generic go to either. I heard that this store had books which I was looking forward to, however, before we got to the section, we were rudely greeted by what I assumed to be the shop owner. I wasn't interested in staying that long and almost made my way out the door due to the really aweful damp and mouldy smell of the place, however, the female elderly clerk initiated eye contact with me. Being socially polite, I greeted her politely in which she rudely asked for our ID's. I understand that for the type of store that it was that ID was required, however, give me a f-ing break. Both my best friend and I look well into our 30's. I had my passport on me, however, wasn't in the mood to fetch the ID in the bottom of my bag since we were on the way out anyway. It was less about the request and more about how she asked. She was rude from the moment we got in. I also felt a weird creepy sense when I walked in which made me also want to bolt before our contact with said lady. The way she was looking at me felt uncomfortable and dirty.

The employees name was Daniel and he was so kind, he talked to my granddaughter about what types of games she liked and was able to help her pick out a few! The transaction was seamless as well and I appreciated the hospitality. I was delighted to sign up for a pro account to keep my granddaughter happy. Thank you GameStop

To my surprise, the employee went up to the drawer and pulled out the cartridge in a CD folder, saying, "Don't worry, it's new." She proceeded to get the game case from the display rack, take off the "new" tag, and place the cartridge inside. To top it off, she wrapped the case (now with game inside) in a plastic wrapping too large, making it look like a scammer's attempt at a reseal. This spectacle reminded me of resealing a bag of potato chips after opening it or resealing an opened pack of Pokemon cards and passing them off as "new." It doesn't mean the chips and cards aren't new, but it looks dubious at best. I was in a rush to get this game for someone else, so I ended up making the purchase, but I would not recommend buying new games there.

This is a rental store that reminds me of what Videomatica used to be. Not that I was even there…read moreto rent vids - I was there to buy. And it's a barrage of amazing titles new and old. Plus they have DVD, Blu-ray and even laserdisc. Counter gent was an old school movie geek like myself and was super fun to chat movies and the like with. I even headed off to the new sales Videomatica store afterwards and since I bought very little, went back to purchase more including a lessor-seen but reasonably priced Atom Egoyan collection of early films. (They covet the greats!) This store has it all in both rentals and sales - both of which are reasonable. LOVE THIS STORE!!!!!

On-street parking is always available for a quarter, with grocery and liquor store on same block plus quick eats across the street. Browsing with friends is priceless. There is no icebreaker like proposing and then having to defend the potential awesomeness of "Krull" from 1983. Staff are fittingly knowledgeable and casually geek about the films. Price is high. Late charge (over 7 days for regular titles) is just 50¢/day.
