I would recommend shopping and tanning at endless summer.

[NOTE: I wrote a review for Movie Warehouse a week ago, which was posted to their previous business…read morepage. Along with that, I suggested a business edit to reflect the accurate address/location, and apparently a new page was created. Go figure. So here's a re-post of the same review which applies to THIS address/location.] Movie Warehouse is tucked in a strip mall between a liquor store and Pizza Hut. Get some booze, pizza, and movies -- you're good for the night. You can rent recent releases, older films, and video games. The collection of older films is quite small, but there's a few gems here. Mainly, I just see a lot of recent movies available. Around the shop are some used movies for sale, too. I haven't really paid attention to rental prices because I haven't paid the few times I've been here, but I heard about $3 a night. I think that's a bit high, but perhaps Redbox has me spoiled? What I find odd are the tanning beds. The tanning beds themselves aren't odd, but mixed in with a movie rental place? What? I guess you can bake a bit before grabbing a flick for a night in. I believe I saw about four or five tanning bed rooms and packages are about $20-30/month. Don't know anything beyond that. I'm more of a Redbox/movie from the library kind of person, but it's nice to have a rental place with more movie options. Plus, Monday nights are rent one, get one free. Good deal there.

Great Escape Records & Comics - Lots of discounted used trades. Got Avengers Season 1.

The selection for used single issue comics is massive, but the selection for new releases as well as trades is always very limited, so if there is something specific you want, it's best to add it to a pull list otherwise you miss out. The prices on everything is usually pretty good, but be wary on some of the singles. It's not very often that a single is outwardly expensive compared to its market price, but every now and then you may overpay. Im a seasoned collector, but if I look at the business from the point of view as a new comic book collector, I would say that the shop could use a bit of growing. The staff, as I said, is very friendly, but they could definitely do a bit better at making conversation easier with new faces. Overall, I think if you're new to collecting, just go inside and ask questions. Be honest and say you don't know what you're doing. Several of them will be more than happy to help. Finally, I would like to see a more expansive selection of trades. When I used to go there, there was always 2-3 shelves full of trades and now it's one manga and one trades. I love manga, but there are trades I'd really rather buy from a small business instead of going to say Barnes and noble.

Most of the employees are 20-something hipsters who know nothing about the real world and are only upset they weren't hired at American Eagle or Aeropostale. Whenever you ask a question they typically try and dodge it because of their lack of video game knowledge. I asked if they had the xbox 360 250gb holiday bundle with kinect. The girl's response was that they didn't make that bundle any longer, just the 4gb one. When I told her that was funny since Microsoft just released it and every other store including Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Amazon had it on sale for $250 she seemed flustered and told me to go buy it there. She took an immediate rude tone at that point and more or less told me to get out. While I'm sure that made her feel better about herself and her minimum wage job, it left me as a customer feeling ashamed. Ashamed that this is what customer service has turned into in America. A staff with no education or product knowledge basically telling an informed customer to go to a competing store to make a purchase since they don't know their own product line. I can only hope that soon the big name video game manufacturers start clamping down on used game sales and run Gamestop out of business.
