My account was…read moretaken over completely by an authorized retailer who left a trail and gave me a fake number to call after he took my phone and switched SIM cards and unlocked my account temporarily. I was the only person on the account and I was not able to access my settings because I was not the primary account holder. I have demanded that they set it straight several times to no avail. Now I have to take them to Arbitration because they think I should have to pay them for his account. On top of this, they never honored the original contract for a payoff to my former provider and I have given them the receipt three times. Dishonest, lazy and unconscionable service. So NO I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PROVIDER!

Time for an update--I'm fairly certain the old dude featured in my 2012 review of B&N is deader…read morethan fried chicken, and B&N has long since moved into a new, much larger space. The new space is cool, I guess, but let's get real: B&N is no longer a bookstore, strictly speaking. It makes most of its money on its cafe, and when it obtained this much larger space it didn't expand the book and magazine selections. It expended the toy, puzzle, board game, LP record, stationary, and other sections. It's practically a leisure-time general store now. The LP selection isn't half-bad, but I suspect it's all digital-to-analog crap. At least they still sell books and magazines, though even there it's changed. Surprise, surprise, the religion section (focused on evangelical Christianity) is huge. Looking for a book on the historical Jesus? You'll find the most popular, unscholarly examples here--likely at least one by a local author! On the other hand, if you're looking for a book by well-regarded California author TC Boyle, you'll currently find a single volume of one of his least-regarded novels ("East is East") on the shelves. A decade ago they'd have had 10 of his books to choose from. Still a pretty good spot to kill a couple of hours, except when they're having storybook readings to kids in the cafe on Saturday mornings. It gets LOUD.

The Verizon Team at the Anderson store is a terrific group of people. Ryan signed me up with a…read morecontract and he was very helpful and treated me with respect. While there, I heard another consultant named Heather interacting with customers. She, too, was very respectful and sounded like she had one goal in mind like Ryan had, and that was to satisfy. On a second visit I met with Todd the store manager. He was really great. Like Ryan, he treated me with respect and went out of his way to make sure he was doing everything he could to help me. I had to make a third visit and met Dennis. Dennis, like the rest, wanted to make sure I had a pleasant in store visit. All of them are very knowledgeable and professional. I've read a lot of negative reviews from other stores. People need to realize that the sales representatives get very busy at certain times so there can be long wait periods. I'm sure there's a lot of customers that understand this process in order to get the complete attention of the Verizon Consultants. You can get lucky. On all three of my visits, I was surprised that I got assistance right away. So they do have those slow periods. However, there were always people who came in behind me that had to wait. They all seemed to understand and were patient. I liked everyone at the Anderson store and I will continue to go there even though I live in Redding.

Pros. 1. Open very late…read more Cons. 1. Way Overpriced 2. No refund exceptions 3. Not very clean, musky environment Way overpriced on most items and with the absolute NO REFUND POLICY! Makes it even worse, there should always be some exceptions. IE. I bought a New DVD and when I tried to play it didn't work. After inspecting the disk, I could see obvious manufacturing defects. I had the sales receipt but still no refund and NOT EVEN STORE CREDIT. (As stated earlier about the store being overpriced! This DVD WAS NO EXCEPTION. Redding has only 2 adult stores like this and both are way overpriced. You might as well go online to get toys. IE. I Bought a Vibrator for my Significant other and it was around $150. I later found the same one on several sites all for under $30. I only gave them 2 Stars because she loved that Vibrator, a lot!!! ;) P.S. The other store (NO NAME GIVEN) is still overpriced, but it's much cleaner. -Mitch
