I usually go to the other location in the Mall, but since the other location closed..I'm forced to come to this location. The employees at this location try to get you to reserve every new game possible! I know they need to ask, but "NO" is No!! This is why I love the other Location better, because they don't force the issue with reserving Games. If you don't have to come to this Gamestop, please don't waste your time unless you want employees to bug you about reserving games! read more

I work in the area and occasionally drop into this store to shop for used XBOX 360 games. I have a PS3 also, but prefer the box for games. Anyways, today I went there and found a used game that seemed interesting that cost $17 something and took it to the counter. The person working there searched around for 2-3 minutes for the disk and then went to check the sales computer. After checking, he said the game had already be sold and someone "forgot" to take the box off the rack. Huh!! They must either have lame customers who don't want the plastic game case when buying used games, or a lame employee who doesn't put the disk from behind the counter in the plastic box when selling used games. This comment is not about the dude who was there at the time trying to find the disk. I try to stay away from retarded people and retarded stores, so I think I'll be shopping for used games elsewhere. Toys 'n Joys ?? read more

I'm not a crazy stay-up-late-wear-a-diaper-no-eat (damn, who could refrain from eating) kind of gamer girl. I have a DS and a Wii, and lots of apps on my phone. I only go in to Gamestop to buy games for my daughter's DS, and I always hate doing so. I always feel like I'm the only girl in there, and usually am. The workers are usually not helpful at all, and are for some reason intimidated by members of the opposite sex. They either will not stop bothering me or avoid me at all costs. I think management needs to teach some kind of social skills instead of focusing so much on the technical aspects of World of Warcraft or whatever crazy ninja monkey battle game just came out. I hate to stereotype, but I get it. You guys like Star Wars. I get it. read more

This Gamestop is pretty good it's located in Pearlridge Uptown 2nd floor. The employees are really helpful but more towards when you get to the register. When not so busy they walk around seeing if you have any questions or need help. When you get to register on busy days they help you with your questions you have, updating you with new games coming out, and update you with upcoming sales. Overall really good staff, prices can be crazy unless sales are happening, and really good location if in the area. read more

Lauren was so helpful and went above and beyond for the purchase of my brothers xbox. Thank you Lauren

Located in Pearlridge Uptown 2nd floor, this gamestop is now the only one in the mall. I think the employees here are very blunt about wanting to help you. We brought in some games we didn't think would be valued much and left with $100. However, if you are looking for some help perusing, you probably won't find it here. They are usually so busy at the register, they don't have time to come out and walk the floor. In my opinion, gamestop has a good hold on the business of trading games without much competition, but this is one of the better ones thanks to the spirit the employees share. read more

This review is based on the customer service we received when we tried to get a copy of a receipt from about 1 year ago. I was VERY satisfied with everyone we interacted with (we ended up talking to 4 different workers, including the person we spoke to on the phone before we showed up). It took about 20 minutes to get the copy of the receipt but we got it! The process went as the person on the phone said it would. We got accurate information, which sadly, is very rare, so I was happy when things went smoothly. Will be happy to do business here more often! read more

certain locations need to have knowledge on their own store policies. seemed like two of the Pearlridge locations had different policies (for holding items, to be specific) when the manager(s) said it should be the same. I walked back and forth, since it was on the way to nearby stores in Downtown and Uptown so I wasn't complaining. maybe the employee was new? on a good note, manager(s) were awesome :] read more

I am waiting for my things to get appraised and I was able to observe the workers. One worker in particular is personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. You can tell he is passionate about his job and GameStop should pay whatever to retain him. He wasn't wearing a name tag but I will assume he is Tyler. read more

The one thing I complained about the PearlridgeDowntown GameStop location is that it was so very small.. One of the smallest I've seen. To counter that, this GameStop has to be one of the biggest I've seen.. granted, It wasn't always a GameStop (go software etc.!) but really, It can sometimes feel like they have too much space in there, even more so compared to the completely crammed Downtown location just a ($.50) monorail away.. I bet they could just add an entire retro section, and still have some spare space.. but, With all this space, you should be able to find what you're looking for, right? well, Of course! Unless you're finding something old and/or rare, there's a slim chance that you will/won't find it used.. I found some good stuff here before my flight back to the mainland (which i really should have bought to make the time pass, ah), and it seems like the employees are always having a good time, talking story and what-not just about any time I stop by.. overall, Just another GameStop on the island that you can stop by when you're mall-crawling and want to pick up a new game.. read more

Stachi's the Best! She really knows how to give great customer service. If you got any questions or help, I suggest asking her. But besides her help, I remember as a child always coming here and my brothers always bought games from this location. Better service than some other Game Stop. read more

We were there 2/21/18 at around 4:30 and there were two girls working at that time. Kaci was the one that was able to help us while the other girl was helping other customers. They were BOTH so knowledgeable and HELPFUL! Never once did we feel pressed into getting a console. We were asking so much questions about 3 different consoles, they were really patient with us, but with the information we got from them we decided on getting our first Nintendo Switch. We appreciated every help that Kaci provided for us! Thank you guys! read more

Love the service here. Been coming here for years and have never had a bad interaction with a single employee.... this really is one of my happy places. Thank you, GameStop team for making all my experiences with you so positive. read more

Yesterday on a Saturday afternoon, store was full with only 1 cashier. I was asking the cashier for help with Cricket Wireless. She said she was sorry had no idea about Cricket Wireless. She then asked another associate who did know how to do Cricket Wireless. Long story short, IF YOU Know how to do something and someone else doesn't, doesn't it make sense to trade places with the other person?? Waited 20 minutes and said never mind, terrible service. read more

All I can say is I've been a long time customer of this business. And I'm a little pissed off that the employee wouldn't sell ma a copy of the December issue of Game Informer magazine. I got some nonsense about only plus members can have the magazines that's in the store, even though it clearly has a sale price on it. If the magazines aren't for sale for walk in customers, then don't have it on display like it's for sale. What a bunch of bullshit. read more

Came here to get a new game for my other half. We were just browsing around at first. She's very welcoming greeting every customer that walks in. As soon as we checked out we went to her. She gave us an insight of the game we bought. She really knows her stuff. Very knowledgable and very friendly. Give her props to know every single game here. Probably go to this place more often to get new games. Thinking of new console as well since I'm a song person. Going to go with Xbox soon to have all my consoles lined up. Anyways this place should have commission. Lol read more

i came here a few months ago to buy some prince of persia games because i was really into the series at the time. i went with my bf and had forgotten my id in the car, the guy helping me seemed really nice and i was chatting with him while the other guy got my games and my bf went looking around the store. When it was time to pay i didnt have my id on me and was turning my head looking for my bf and the clerk starting shouting out "anyone got an id?? anyone??" he was being really unprofessional and i felt like just leaving but i will never come back here unless i have to. read more

Joel was awesome! Helped us for over 45 minutes helping us pick the right tablet and set everything up. He was so thorough and helpful and nice. Awesome customer service as usual at this gamestop!! read more

This will be my all time favorite and most preferable GameStop. I literally grew up going and cruising around this place from my Super Nintendo Days till today. I remember when this place was called Software Etc. Now that was the bomb. Although they move stuff and around and the technology of games and systems get updated as generations of gaming goes by, the store still has it's swag. The staff and customer service is and are always on top of it with all of your gaming questions and needs. I always wanted to work here when I was young but I don't think I am Gamer enough to do so despite my life long love of video games and gaming. Not only do they sell video games and systems but sometimes they sell other products like playing cards, toys, novelty, etc. The prices are decent. They always have the trade ins and used game section. They take reservations for many upcoming games. It's video game and gaming heaven what can I say... Yelp 365 Challenge #101/365 read more

Great customer service. Cheap used games & it's easy to reserve your games here.

We bought Xbox 360 controller we returned the reused ones we believed the guy saying it was tested before but both didn't work so we just ended up going back the third time and bought brand new controllers read more

Monday store is slow and empty three workers and I get the one in training who moves at tortoise pace, with the other two workers slow to help him to a exchange and purchase. Then he doesn't even give me my items I bought or my receipt...has he never shopped in his life before? I know there are a lot of people looking for jobs but these days it really is sad to see whom is employed and whom is not! Very frustrating, I will have to change to all online shopping ASAP. read more

I bought the Nintendo Switch here and the salesperson tried to sell me about 5 accessories and 2 different warranty plans, spewing out the details like a robot. She told me I needed a case because the screen was made of GLASS. Looked it up on the internet, it's made of PLASTIC. Lied right to my face to try to get me to buy an overpriced case that I didn't need. Never coming back here again, or maybe to any GameStop for that matter. read more

my brother and i were waiting in line for around 20 minutes then the cashier said "the line is on the other side" but prior to that they were accepting buyers from where we were standing. After he said "the line is on the other side", customers who were waiting there for way less time than us got to go first and they expected us to wait in line again so we just left. Where do I start? I don't go to GameStop often, but have bought games from them before. It seems the quality of the company is slipping more and more. Besides the company, the customer service I experienced was down right embarrassing. I went in with a friend and was told of a deal that made the gentleman take a breath to finish. "Buy two D's games get one free, buy two Xbox games get one free...ect" so we searched the store in our different sections for 20 minutes. It was overwhelming, there were so many games to choose from, but it didn't help that one lady behind the counter kept looking at us with scorn. Then the young gentleman came over 6 more times (I started counting because it was getting so annoying) to pester me, ask me questions and sell me games. Finally, we have our selection and we stand in the slowest line ever to be helped by one of the rudest ladies ever. Could be the store manager, receipt reads Alex. Anyways, "Alex" notified us that the discount doesn't apply to 3DS games, or Xbox1 games. Now we're irritated, how can you watch us and help us pick the items out for 20 minutes, just to wait for us to get to the register to tell us it doesn't apply? Whatever, we buy the games anyways. I had two used games and was forced to buy the NEW Super Smash Bros for $39.99 because they didn't have the used one available. So we leave broke and feeling ripped off. After 6 days I went to return the items, realizing what a big mistake I made and not much to my surprise, it was the same two ladies behind the counter. The other being Brittney, who in my opinion, is much more professional than her older colleague, Alex. Alex tried embarrassing me by loudly saying "so you're rage quitting" loudly, multiple times. Not worried because, yes, that is exactly what I'm doing. I got all of my money back for the used games, except when Alex asked if I wanted it in cash or store credit, I said "cash" and she responded "it's going to be less now." Which I replied "how much less?" I went from getting $27.92 to $21.92 back. Where did the $6 go? I'm utterly confused at this point. When it comes to the new game, Super Smash Bros which I bought for $39.99, 6 days ago, I had to trade it in and ended up getting $20 for it. I lost $26 and 30 minutes of that day, and they keep asking me if I want to pay to upadate my PowerUp Rewards, I'm sure if the company stopped stealing money from me, I might be able to afford it. Shopping online from now on, have been writing this while waiting to talk to corporate, it's been 76 minutes already, thank goodness I have all day! read more

Went to return a game that I got as a gift that was for the wrong system. Instead of offering me a exchange or even a store credit remotely close to the original cost they offered me $8 for my game on Xbox 360 towards the same game on ps3 for $60! Honestly what goes on in these guys minds is beyond me since they were just going to take my new UNOPENED game and charge some other poor sap the same $60 they were going to ask from me to replace it read more
