I was having a hard time tracking down a physical copy of the Lunar Remaster and was told by a kind employee at EB that it's only really sold at Video Games Plus if I wanted a physical copy. It's far from where I am in Newmarket, but I figured, why not. I called ahead of time to confirm they'll have a copy, and the employee really didn't sound like he wanted to answer questions. Fine, I'm just going to get a game. We went the morning of, at opening, because I wasn't sure if a) they'd have more a few copies and b) how popular it was going to be. They opened half an hour late and the employee, who I think is the same one I talked to previously, really didn't seem like he wanted to be there. We got my game and left. I'm a little surprised I got it at the same price that I've seen online because a lot of their other selections were far too expensive that I'd consider buying any of it. Some of the cases didn't look like they'd been taken care of and, while store was tidy, I can't say it was very organized. Not sure how you can screw up so much in a short time, but they did. I feel like they could go under at some point because they probably aren't competing with EB, and am physical store for overpriced retro stuff is a hard thing to keep up with. But maybe the clerk wouldn't care anyway.

The games arrived on december 24th, while I was with my in-laws for Christmas. The packages were left on my front door which is directly on a busy street (I never gave my consent for this). Obviously the packages got stolen by the time I was able to come back. I message them and they told me they "would investigate the issue and get back to me". No answers, I send several email throughout the months requesting an Update and got pretty much the same message every time. While they offer decent prices, I am extrimely disapointed by their custommer service

Easily one of my favourite places to nerd out at. And DEFINITELY my favourite place to nerd out at…read morein the GTA. Legends has extremely competitive pricing (Games Workshop stuff usually 20% off!) and a very nice selection of board games, comic books, cards, minatures, and geeky merch (I definitely picked up a Rainbow Dash mug on my last visit here.) If they don't have something that you have your eye on, you can connect with them to see if they will order it for you (which they likely will, if they can!) Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. Customer service here is quite friendly. I'd HIGHLY reccomend checking out Legends if you are in/around the Vaughan area to get your geek on :).

It's like Walmart lol you go in for one thing and leave with 10. There's a pretty good selection of board games, both popular and obscure. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

As a fan of Pokémon myself I know how expensive the hobby has become and how little is available due to scalpers clearing everywhere out. Luckily the man working let us know that they were trying to combat this with charging retail price for their cards unlike most places that mark them up by absurd prices. We then were able to actually purchase some packs and my nephew was ecstatic! It's places like this with employees who seem to actually care that keep my faith alive when it comes to this hobby. We will 1000% be coming back to support this store. They are amazing and so are the employees.

To be honest, I dislike going to EB Games now, since like 75% of their stores are just POP figures and merchandise, and they only sell the newest games with a sad selection of used games, nothing for older consoles, and an almost non-existent selection of DS/3DS games. But I always depend on Microplay to have a new, lesser known game I want in stock. They also have games for older consoles like N64, PS, PS2, and GC, and sometimes have cheaper prices on brand new games compared to other video game stores. Even if there's other game stores nearby, I always go out of my way to buy a game I want at Microplay, cause I REALLY don't want them to ever close down!
