In the weeks leading up to our vacation, we were on the search for a cozy and quiet sanctuary. We…read morefound the Guesthouse on Terrace through AirBnB. This Guesthouse opened in 2015 and offers two suites with plenty of modern amenities. We were lucky enough to book a stay in the larger suite (Suite A). This room includes the following, a king sized bed, kitchenette complete with dishware and cutlery, microwave, mini fridge, cable TV, climate control settings, and Wi-Fi capability to connect you to Netflix with some effort. Unfortunately, the only place for trash was a small waste bin underneath the sink, definitely not adequate for a couple of out of towners bringing home doggie bags every night. The owners of the Guesthouse did an excellent job making the space feel homey. Being so close to Winona Lake, the tasteful décor and nautical details were in tune with the theme of a lake side retreat. The back porch offers beautiful views of the town where one could read a book and relax or just gaze out and appreciate nature at its finest. A short 8 minute walk from the Guesthouse offers stunning views of Winona Lake in addition to nearby shops and restaurants. The town provides pedestrian and bike paths. If walking is your thing, Suite A has a walking stick near the door. If biking is more your style, Trailhouse Village Bicycles rents cruisers during the warmer months. During our time there, spring had not yet taken hold, but for those lucky summer visitors, it's an excellent opportunity to explore the town. Our arrival was, however, in late March and sadly only a handful of businesses were open. Trailhouse Village Bicycles had no bicycles to rent at the time, The Mucky Duck was closed so we couldn't pick up a souvenir, even the place that provided the hand soap in our suite (which had a remarkable scent) was closed. In short, the room and vistas were beautiful but it was the town itself, which let us down. We thought we were buying a package that included a beautiful room (which we got) complete with a souvenir shop and soap (which we didn't get). Winona Lake has a great opportunity to be a year round tourist attraction and due to its centralized location, the Guesthouse will be an ideal spot to stay.

We've been fortunate to do a fair bit of traveling around the world and this experience was top-shelf all the way around. We rented "A" and "B" units and wish we'd been able to stay longer -- the units far exceeded online photos, and the value is outstanding. We will always check here first when visiting the area, and highly recommend that you should too!

It ended up being a glamping weekend for the family. Cabins are dog friendly. $50 charge for dogs but they are spoiled! There is a $70 destination fee which includes firewood, fire starters, snacks, waters, and s'mores. As a Marriott elite, I get the option of points or a food and beverage amenity. I usually go with the amenity when I'm not traveling by myself. Wow. Marriott out did themselves. Look how great the amenity box was. It included so many treats! This was our second time glamping, the first time with our own shower, toilet, and kitchen. Not too shabby! We really enjoyed cooking dinner and the complimentary pour over coffee. The windows were great! So big! Felt like we were in the woods. The space was very private too. Loved that there was no WiFi. There was a radio and books. We brought games but really loved that we got to talk with no interruptions. Would be fun to come back with a group of friends too.

Great way to slow things down and disconnect. Plenty of space in the cabin for two people. There are 41 total cabins but they are spread out and tucked into the woods so still feel very private. They include firewood, fire starters, s'mores stuff, coffee, and tea as part of the destination fee of $70. There were plenty of cooking supplies, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even a little first aid kit. We enjoyed going for a morning walk around the trail loop and watching the sunset at the lake across the street. It was very quiet and peaceful. Check in was simple and went smooth. Overall highly impressed and will be visiting other post card cabin destinations.

The beds were comfortable and the linens nice. The kitchen and bath were tastefully done with granite and nice fixtures. All was in working order. The location was perfect. A short walk to the Brown Line, easy on street parking, lots of fun places to eat nearby. West Roscoe had an upscale family neighborhood vibe. We ate at the Turkish place and the Vietnamese place - both very good. A note to anyone who books #3. Make sure that you are comfortable with 2 flights of steep stairs. Make sure you know how to reboot a WIFI. And, ask about the A/C which must be on some sort of preprogrammed setting. We happened to be there when it was quite hot, so we had to often set the A/C to manual to cool off. This condo was a great home base for our 4 day weekend. It's always fun to be able to come "home" after a long day of sightseeing and relax and enjoy each others company in a comfortable space.

I had wanted to stay in a hotel, but my wife thought this would be more "homey" and see was right, it was a great decision. The only downside to us was that the toaster seemed to be hard-wired to the smoke alarm, but once we figured out to turn the exhaust fan one before we did any cooking all was well.

They are always so responsive with any issues or questions, truly incredible customer service. You can tell it's a family-owned business, and the couple who runs it clearly works so hard to ensure every guest has a great experience. We recently took a Spring break trip to the west coast and booked through a different management company, which only made us appreciate Bluefish even more. Bluefish goes above and beyond in ways that other companies just don't. It's because of Bluefish that we fell in love with Union Pier, MI--and now that we own a property there, we of course have chosen them to manage it! Getting to work with Bluefish from both sides (as a guest and now as a homeowner) has only deepened our respect and appreciation for how they operate. Their concierge services are also such a bonus, arriving to a fully stocked fridge is a total game changer for families. It takes so much stress out of the travel day and sets the tone for a truly relaxing vacation. Highly, highly recommend!

The grounds are plush and colorful and the view overlooking Lake Michigan is mesmerizing from inside of the house or relaxing in the comfortable Adirondack chairs outside. The furnishings in the home are lovely, inviting and allowed our group of 24 people to comfortably relax throughout the house, guest house, and the estate grounds. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we possibly needed, including a perfect supply of spices. The long grand dining table was ideal along with additional seating for everyone to comfortably enjoy the numerous and exceptional meals we prepared. The only thing missing was the luxury of a hired private chef! We will definitely be returning for an extended weekend adventure in the future. There's no reason to fly or drive anywhere else and leave SW Michigan when you have everything you could ask for here: soft beaches, steep sand dunes, sunsets, wineries, and wonderful restaurants, such as Grand Mere & Tosi's just a few miles away.
