Tony really gave us a great welcome, when we arrived just 2 hours later after leaving Chicago for Michigan. Really easy to find thanks to the big sign out the front and the photos on their website matching the location perfectly. We stayed 5 days and spent most of that on the private beach, swimming and paddling around the lake on the paddle boat. The weather wasn't great for one of the days so we stayed inside and watched the thunderstorms over the lake (really romantic!), the rest of the time we grilled outside, enjoyed the Dowagiac offerings of a classic drive-in, farmer's markets, and a decent supermarket not far away in town. We really fell in love with this area and we'll be going back to stay at CJ's landing for sure - the quiet space and big lawn was perfect for relaxing and reading and next time we'll bring some fishing gear to enjoy the abundance of fish under the dock in the evenings. read more
