I complained, but she said, "We don't do that here." And I had to go home and shave my own neck, and also get the spots that she missed on my face. I felt scammed because I paid $60 for it and she took a whole hour so I would expect that for all that time and money I would get a nice smooth face and neck. But I was wrong. When I complained to the owner he just told me that I am banned from the shop now and said they don't give refunds even though on their official website they have a "Service Guarantee" that if you are not completely satisfied with the service they will make it right.

Today, it seemed like a highschool hangout. New kid working there or at least new to me. Asian, big mop of hair in a ponytail coming off the front of his head. He asks me what I want, I tell him to shave my head with a couple different sizes. 5 minutes later, with hair all over my head and face, he mumbles..."good?" I'm like, what? You're done? And he replies "yip". Had a quick look in the mirror as he's already pulled the tarp off me and made his way to the register. Looked cut, but I still didn't see any attention to detail. I thought maybe it was just me and this is how they do it now, so I paid and left. Got home, head stinging from the razor, to notice that there are chunks of hair he missed. My fault for not inspecting better, but this is unacceptable. What once was good is now poor. My guess, if they keep these new guys around, they will be out of business in no time. So disappointing.

The staff are friendly and chat with you and always ask if they're doing the right cut according to your preference. I like that they don't wear very strong scent cologne. Warm and friendly and inviting! Alexa, who was to cut my hair, was very friendly, communicating with me about what I wanted and had a great personality. She took her time, was thorough and the end result was a perfect cut! I read other reviews about this place, mostly really good and now would tell anyone not to believe the negative. The business was well run, great team and lovely interior. Plus they had little extra touches like scalp massage before the shampoo, relaxing you from the start. I would definitely recommend and return.

She told me she's been doing it for a while. Which didn't tell me anything. I told her I wanted to see her colour chart she had chosen and did want me to see it and said she matched my hair colour. Then a guy came along and ask me to fill out a form that was two pages long and sign it. Wtf. Even wanted to know my allergies. I told him I would've mentioned if I was allergic to any hair colour because this wasn't my first rodeo. Plus wanted more personal info and wanted me to sign my name! All I wanted was to touch up my roots! Well at this point it was too late in the day to find another salon so I signed the damn form. She took almost 45 min. to apply the colour and I have short hair!! She took me to rinsed my hair and filled my ears (both sides) with water several times and By that time I just wanted to walk out. Not even asking me if I needed a Q-tip or towel. She took me back to the chair and asked me if I wanted any product in my hair. I told her no. Then she asked how I want my hair styled with the hair dryer. I told her I would like to do it myself. Then she said in her high teenage voice No! I'm not comfortable that you use my equipment. So, I said did I hear you right? Then her boss said that it was a liability issue. I told her I would take full responsibility in drying my own hair. She said no. I said so you're just going to let me walk out of here with wet hair? And she said that's your choice. So I went to pay and they tried to charged me more than what was quoted to me! I said no! I'm paying. What I was quoted And left! Two frikken hours of of sarcastic behaviour from an unexperienced teenager! Definitely not respectful to seniors!
