I was desperately needing a haircut after work finished around 5:45pm and the only barbershops around were closed or in the process of closing, until I remember Scotch and Fades Co. I've driven by this many times and though "hmm, what an interesting name, the only 'Scotch & xxx' I know of is the apparel company Scotch and Soda. Anyhow, I rang them up since a large majority of barbershops now only take appointments due to covid19. They were able to accommodate me and I arrived at 6:05pm. I was greeted by every staff member once I entered through the doors even though they're with a client, great start! Bryan Areas, the barber too me to my chair. Asked me what I wanted and began his craftsmenship barbering. Bryan brought in a ring light, you know the ones instagram influencers or Youtubers use and shone it in my direction. Due to the lack of natural sunlight (6pm) and the lack of windows, it was necessary. The barber used his clippers and then proceeded to scissors to remove some weigh and length at the top of my cut. Razored and lined up my edges. I thought he was done when he pulled out the mirror for me to see the finished product. BUT NO, he explained that with my cut I also receive a face cleanse with a hot towel. Now this is an experience I will never forget; he used a cleanser for my face, laid down a steaming hot towel on my face and massaged my face before finishing off with an alcohol based (I know because it stung my face on a few spots) toner. I was blown away. Never have I experienced such detail, attention and a barbering experience before. Thank you Bryan Areas for the unforgettable experience. Tldr; barbershop and barber Bryan Areas cut my hair, cleansed/massaged my face for $35 before gratuity. Amazing experience. Will recommend to anyone.
