Gameday Barber - Beard trim - Barbers Near Me - Burlingame, California

So - this will sound like an odd review, but I was in town for a couple of days to attend a funeral. I use a straight razor with a safety razor and can't bring blades on the plane. Most of the time, it's not a difficult thing to find a drugstore or Grocery store that has replacement blades. This was not the case In Burlingame. As a result, I was facing having to go to the funeral without a clean shaven face. The last place I checked was Gameday, but I did not have much hopes. After all, who's going to sell me a razors when they could insist I get a cut? I didn't catch the name of the barber in the first chair, but he helped without hesitation. He was really nice and refused to take any money from me (it was just one razor, but I offered $5 for his troubles). I lived in the Bay Area for a long time and my wife was a long-time resident of Burlingame. Some of you may remember the city as it was 30 years ago. People just took care of each other. To whomever that individual was that night, thank you for helping out. Not just with the razor, but in helping bring back that small time feel. By the way - Dorco razors are now my hands-down favorite. read more

Gameday Barber - Look at that blend.... Flawless! And he worked with my balderdash (rapidly receding hairline) - Barbers Near Me - Burlingame, California

I have been coming to Gameday since 2022. Top tier barber shop with next level barbers. Thank you Jason Tran for the fresh one!! read more

We've been going to see Jason for over a year for myself and son. Always had a pleasant experience and will be coming back.

Jason has been cutting my son's impossibly thick and unruly hair for past 2 years. I've tried many places in the Bay Area and nobody has come even close to how professional and skilled Jason is and we religiously make the drive from SF every month. Not only Jason is a very skillful and meticulous barber, he's also very good with kids. My son started seeing Jason when he's was a very fidgety 6 year old but Jason still cut his hair without my help and now that they developed a rapport, my son looks forward to his appointments and is relaxed/even falls asleep during his haircut. read more

Ken was very professional and very experienced. I ALSO FOT TO MEET JASON, he gReeted me as soo. As I waked in! Ken skills were much appreciated before my business trip. He was polite and patient. I would highly recommend him, the location is great, you can't go wrong with downtown Burlingame next to the vinyl room night club. The location was clean and very modern, this is a brand new shop so I was very exited to be there, I was actually referred by my barber in San Francisco Gerson Hernandez he is also part of this shop and I would highly recommended his work as well. This is a MUST VISIT BARBERSHOP. read more

Awesome cut from Ben. All the barbers are great. Will be a return client for sure!!!!

Been going here for awhile. Highly recommend this place. Kenny cuts my hair. I love this place, barbers are all good.

Had a great experience getting my haircut from Benjamin at Gameday Barber. He gave me a crispy lineup and a blurry fade. Nice clean-looking shop with a friendly welcoming vibe. read more

Brought our 14 yo son here for his first barbershop experience. His hair was completely overgrown from the holidays and Kenny did an amazing job listening to us and taking care to give our son an incredible cut. Highly recommend. Online scheduling is a plus. read more

I've been all over the city trying to find a reliable, professional barber. Being a woman can be a bit intimidating when going into a barbershop as well. My younger brother recommended this shop and the gentleman named Ben. not only was it easy to book my son's appointment on line but you can pay online too. They give you an hour for a hair cut which to me is better than any other place I've tried to take my son to. Usually shops are filled with people waiting and hurrying it up to get you in and out of the chair. Ben was extremely polite and professiona. most definitely worth the money. I'm so happy to say that I have now found a shop that I will be bringing my son back to. read more

It's important to note that your hair plays a role in boosting your confidence! The barbers here understand the craftsmanship that goes into styling hair, and will work with you to get you exactly what you need. I've booked Ben, the shop owner, for haircuts over a decade now and can vouch for his work. He has the straightest lines and cleanest fades in the game. The shop is clean, well lit, and family friendly. It's also located in downtown Burlingame with tons of parking. If you're looking for a new barber start here. And if you don't know what you need, speak up. I'm sure they'll guide you in the right direction. Pro-tip: they're always booked, so find them on the Booksy app and schedule an appointment ahead of time! read more

Cool spot in downtown Burlingame. It's really clean and well-decorated: cool without trying too hard. I called at about 10am and was able to get an appointment for 3pm the same day. My barber was Jarreau who was thoughtful and soft-spoken, conversational without being overly chatty; really cool and friendly guy. I paid $65 for a men's fade which took 30-45 minutes. Jarreau asked if there was anything I'd like to change about it (there wasn't) and showed me some tips for styling it. One of the better haircuts I've ever had. Jarreau, if you're reading this, you killed it. I'll definitely be returning! read more

A new neighbor barbershop comprised of experienced and welcoming barbers. The decor and vibes from this shop are as described by its title: Classic. But make no mistake--it's also very, very trendy. Great price for a quality haircut. I've been getting my haircut from Ben for over a decade, and I trust no other barber. He's very accommodating and always consistent with his work. Congratulations on the new shop! read more

Dope shop. Check out my guy @gerson._ Dedicated to his craft and all around great person. Never failed to deliver the random cuts and fades id request. One of the scariest things moving to a new area is finding a new barber, was lucky to find him after mad research read more

Took my two boys in for haircuts (they are both under 12) and couldn't believe the barber Jason charged me $80 a piece! For kids cuts! Such a rip off I won't be going back. There are much better deals for kids haircuts elsewhere. read more

I've been going to this barber shop for months. The barbers do great work and are very meticulous. The down sides? Scheduling an appointment with any of the barbers is a headache, and rescheduling or canceling is even worse. Tried to reschedule an appointment I had made due to a family emergency, and no one had picked up the phone. Not only that, but immediately after my last haircut with Kenny, I had an extremely itchy scalp to the point of large chunks falling off--some good medicated shampoo helped. Couldn't find any other good barbers in the area, so I decided to go back. As I went to schedule my appointment, it canceled. What could it be now? I received a text from an unknown number--apparently, the same one that didn't answer when I tried to call that day to reschedule. Number says that I owe $50 due to being a no-show. Seems like prices have increased (it used to be $40 for a Basic Cut). Well, there goes my favorite barbershop. Hope you guys don't make the same mistake I did. read more

The Classic Barber is a great looking barber shop in an excellent location. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the staff. I arrived on location ready for my appointment with Nathaniel and was told he would be with me shortly. After waiting 30 minutes (for an appointment that was supposed to last 45 minutes) I had heard nothing from Nathaniel or any of the other staff. At that point I informed the staff I was leaving and they had nothing to offer other than Nathaniel was running a "little" behind. At no point did Nathaniel apologize for being late or even acknowledge that I was there. I understand that things happen and sometimes you fall behind. But a little common courtesy would have gone a long way. read more
