I've been taking my 5-year-old son to Eddie for about a year now, and we couldn't be happier! My son struggles with anxiety when it comes to haircuts, and we've tried countless barbers and even kids' hair salons with very little success. Eddie has been amazing with him. He's incredibly patient, takes the time to engage with my son, and makes him feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire haircut. What used to be a stressful experience has become something my son can actually enjoy! On top of that, Eddie is a very talented barber. His attention to detail is excellent, and he consistently delivers exactly the haircut we ask for. He's also quick and efficient, which is a huge plus when you have a little one! I recommend Eddie to all my friends with young boys. If you're looking for a skilled barber who is especially great with kids, Eddie is your guy! read more

I had a last min business event come up, needed a barber as my main guy was closed. Tried to call handcrafted at 450pm on a Monday when the shop closed at 6. I asked if they can do a last minute walk in. The guy asked what type of haircut, I said skin fade.. he replied he didn't have time for that. I called the next shop, went 5 mins to Burlingame.. that shop even though they only accept appointments walked me in and I was the last customer after closing. I tipped that shop $100 btw. Just wanted to point to handcrafted barber you never know what type of client you'll get, I guess you'll never know since I won't try to come to your shop ever as a future client since you didn't give me a chance. read more

Clean fade, beard blended to perfection -- my guy really got elite hands. You can tell when someone takes pride in their craft, and Eddie is different. He didn't just cut my hair, he leveled me up. He's got himself a regular now, and I'm sending all my boys his way. read more

I reached out to Vik (Bollywood Blends) in a panic after an awful haircut done by a non professional was given to my 1.5 yr old son. He was super responsive and so professional. He put on shows to help distract my son and gave him little gummy snacks. I truly can't imagine anyone better to have helped us today. His skills and patience were amazing! read more

Dimitri gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had! He also was not expecting to have to cut as the other barber I booked on booksy was not at the shop and still took me, definitely a barber you would want representing your shop. Wish I had more to tip, a little light in the pockets this week, will get him next time. read more

Still so fresh and so clean. Eddie never fails. Don't sleep on this shop. Been taking my son here for the past 5-6 years and I will never go anywhere else. read more

The barber did an awesome job. My son's hair looks great and is just the way he wanted it.

** Review is strictly for Drue Mac ** I scheduled an appointment for 12pm with Drue on 8/31/23. He texted me 30 minutes before my haircut appointment that he needs to push my appointment to 12:30 due to a client running late, totally fine. I get to the shop at 12:25 and I see he has another person on the chair so I assume he's going to wrap it up shortly. I don't get to the chair until 1pm even though my appointment was for 12:30 after he had originally pushed out my 12pm appointment. In my head I am wondering why is it taking so long and how am I not on the chair yet. Turns out, the person running late before me brought in a buddy, and it was suppose to be the person running late, then me and then the buddy. He definitely messed up the rotation on who will be next and mind you I was on my lunch so I was short on time - Drue did not even apologies or care that he had messed up the rotation, shrugged it off like it was nothing and cancelled my appointment via Booksy(still got the cut though).. Overall, very disappointing from Drue as it seems customer service isn't what he upholds. He also messed up my cut, cut my top hair as I did not want my top hair length to be cut. I would run not walk. read more

Jose is been cutting my hair for a few years now and every time I have a hair cut is better than the last time...!!!

Walked in today and was Fortunate to be welcomed by a barber JOSE. Gave me customized cut that he named the GIO FADE. Pretty much noted all my bald spots and how he cut around them to emphasize the hair I still have. Extremely happy with the end result. Looking sharp & will making future appointments with JOSE! read more

Eddie from Handcrafted is a talented barber. His skills and technique makes him stand out from your average barber. I have taken my son and nephew for a cut and they both have been happy with his service (including myself). If you are looking for a high quality cut and a barber who knows how to hit the specifics with great details then I highly recommend you to stop by and see Eddie for superior service. A+ read more

I have been getting my hair cut by Eddie since he first started cutting hair and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. I constantly get compliments on my hair and he does a great job of really getting to know his clients, so every time I walk in I feel like family. Not going to lie I have tried a few other barbershops along the way, because Eddie can get really busy and sometimes it may be harder to get in and see him. Every time I have been disappointed and have come right back here. If you are looking for the best barber in the peninsula, make sure to stop by handcrafted! read more

Every time you call to see if they have time you get, "Umm, I can't, but someone will be in in half an hour or so, can you call back." Call back and get the same thing. Tried multiple times to get in. Finally get someone who said they can take an appoint for the next day. Made an appointment for noon, arrive a few minutes early and there are two others waiting for their appointments. Their appointment times were well before mine and the barber wasn't even there yet. No way to run a business. What is the point of making appointments if you're not even going to show up! I'm amazements this place stays in business as poorly as they run this place! This is not the first time this has happened, this is everything I try to go there, so done, time for a new place and I suggest you look for a better run barber that actually wants your business!!! read more

I've been cutting my own hair for 12 years and finally decided to get a professional haircut for my wedding day. Eddie is a fade/taper pro! He did exactly what I wanted and got so many compliments. If you need a haircut, check with them first before you decide to go there. First come first serve type of shop so be early if you need it done right away. Otherwise, feel free to wait a few hours. It's worth a wait. Thanks again bro! read more

I was looking for a barbershop to treat my friend to a haircut for his birthday, and also for my boyfriend who didn't like his last haircut. After reading the reviews here on yelp I decided this was the place to go. I called them to make an appointment and Eddie was very friendly over the phone. They left both my friend and my boyfriend looking like new people! The do quality haircuts for a very reasonable price, and the place is nice and clean. Also they do exactly what you request. I highly recommend this place to any guys that want an amazing cut. read more

I was referred to Handcrafted Barber Shop in Millbrae, Ca. by Brothers Barber Shop in Burlingame. I was able to call and make an appointment. That was all great. Upon arrival I was tested for a fever and given a shot of sanitizer. Also very good. Once I sat in the barber chair, I was asked how I would like to have my hair cut. I told Jose just above the ears, leave side burns and showed him how the top is typically cut. As soon as he said OK, he shaved and shaved the back and sides that were so short and not what I asked for. Cut the top of my hair to about an inch long when I asked for 2 1/2 long. Bottom line, I would never go back as it clearly shows that Jose does his own thing and doesn't listen to his customer VERY UNHAPPY!!! read more

I don't want to even give this place one star because they rip me off , I went in there after seeing on the window the price was $35 for a haircut and then when he was done cutting my hair he told me it's $45 because it's a holiday price , well fuck this place I'll never go back. BTW , The haircut wasn't that good either! The dude that cut my hair there is a Asian dude and he has those big earrings and tats, so don't go to that fool. read more

Long over due, but Eddie, I'm happy you found yourself a place for yourself. It's convenient, welcoming and best of all, you are there when you say you are there!! You are a Barber who appreciates his clients and in return, the clients come back to appreciate you. Eddie takes the time to listen to what you would like and he makes sure everything is good with your cut before he allows you to get up from the chair. The place is really clean and has comfy seats. It even has TV's all around to watch. I definitely feel good knowing he is around when needed. read more

I called this shop and asked to get a beard trim and he quotes me a price over the phone for $15. So while waiting for this guy he tells me that he is raising his price to $25. That is what I call f*cked up. UPDATE - Eddie got in touch with me and apologized for the mix up and to make it up to me he trimmed my beard on the house. I am changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars because of his professional attitude and the cut wasn't bad either. Lol. He took good care of me and made sure that I was happy with everything before I left. He turned a negative experience into a positive one and i will have no problem going back to see him. I highly recommend him. He is a great barber read more

Zero stars. I tried this place for the last time. My son has waited hours and been skipped for reasons that I can assume are racial at this point. Tried to make appointments and was told they do not take appointments. The last time my son was turned away because they had 3 appointments. They should just have a color chart of whom they choose to serve. NEVER AGAIN read more

Guess I should have read more of the 1 star reviews about Eddie specifically. Made an appointment with him in advance. Showed up at the shop and the guys there said I better text him. Sat around for a while and he didn't respond, and didn't show up. Tried calling and his phone was off too. Pretty sure this is a noted pattern. Good luck with the shop. I'm sure the other guys do a good job but Eddie apparently decided not to show up today again read more
