All of the games sold here, are authentic, thoroughly tested, and reviewed so you can always count on the video games being in the best possible condition. GameOn also offers more than just games but consoles, accessories, controllers, and more. One of the recent times I went in; Tristan showed me that he received a whole bunch of promo posters from Nintendo that were unopened. I pointed out that the Banjo Kazooie poster he had, had a beta version of the character Mumbo. (Meaning the poster was worth more!!) It was awesome to see and the fact that he showed me it when I came in at a random day and time was incredible! The prices at GameOn are very fair, and trade ins are always WAY better than Gamestop who will give you pennies. GameOn gives you great rates and even greater if you vouch for in store credit. For those of you reading this looking to relive the past, or discover old but new-to-you classics, or even find consoles, accessories and more; this place is for you. One thing I was very grateful for, was that my cousin, his friend and myself produced a video game that mimics the retro style of older 2D platformers: I.E: (Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Country, etc.) and Tristan allowed us to not only bring it in for him to try it, but allow his customers to try our game and test it. As if that wasn't enough, our game was free to download, with the option of donating and let's just say Tristan donated very generously! Speaking of generous, I also had an experience, where a few years back, I came in with a trade in, and a new employee gave me a pretty low deal which I accepted, but later went home feeling duped. I don't know how, as I didn't even tell Tristan, or write review, and he wasn't in the store that day, but he actually reached out to ME, and apologized that I was shorted, and that I could have an in store credit or the option to receive more money than I reluctantly agreed to. The in store credit was more than fair, and once again GameOn proved why I love it so much; and why I want to return in the future. I shouldn't have to say this; but an owner reaching out to a customer who was shorted, apologizing and giving them a store credit/offering them more money for the price they agreed to? That is unheard of and let me tell you I was blessed and very happy he reached out to me. Overall, what makes GameOn so great is its owner: Tristan. He is an energetic, passionate and kind person who always does right by you. Tristan has also hired some awesome and dedicated employees and they are always very knowledgeable and passionate about gaming like he is! GameOn does more than just sell games; they have hosted charity events, birthdays, gatherings and more. Something worth mentioning is that GameOn has grown from one location, to three, and now even has arcades open which I would urge you to check out! All in all, Tristan has created more than just a store for selling old games, but a living community that supports all who have an interest in gaming, and offers a selection of oldies but goodies, and everything in between. By far, the best retro gaming store on the island! GameOn!

When we gave the gift to our friend we cracked it open to play it and the Wii would not read it no matter what we tried. This was not an error on the console's part as our copy and other games were readable. I do not feel these guys are willing to exchange them as they uphold their policy of no returns or exchanges but they advertise that they test the product as well. I'm not a fan and I wouldn't be back. It's just a shame they are the sole retro game spot for long island and NY.

Because I've been hankering to relive my childhood via Game Boy Advance. For a small store, it is absolutely stacked with collectibles: retro games, current games, import games, candy, cards. A dream. What's even nicer too is that all of their products are listed on their site, which makes perusing a breeze! Considering the state of the retro market, the prices are reasonable. Imo nothing is marked outlandishly high, and they do have deals and a clearance section in back! I came in looking for a backlit GBA and the staff was so incredibly patient and knowledgable. Especially Kimmy! She walked me through the process, showed me every color I chose and even provided much need opinions. She truly took her time making sure my mod was perfect and I walked out with the most gorgeous (and backlit) GBA! Considering its location and variety, I will definitely be back. This is an amazing location for retro gaming!

They do buy items but I myself haven't sold anything to them. They have a generous two week policy to check the discs to make sure they work. I go between here and the city location often to see what's in stock. The employees are kind, welcoming, and knowledgable. I've often called to ask about stock questions and they're always quick to help. I do occasionally check the children's section because my dream is to have the old Sweet Valley books of my youth, but the YA section is I'd say from 2010 on. There's a large lot with plenty of parking.

I had a ton of books that I was trying to sell and while most places didn't want them, Book Off…read morebought some. If I had 200 books they bought just under 100. No- they didn't pay a lot, about 40-50 cents. Of course I wish I got more, but I was trying to sell many quickly and they helped. Every time I go in, they're helpful and courteous. They were VERY fast with getting me a quote. It was usually an hour to scan a few hundred books and give me a quote.
