UPDATE*** Feb 2020** A couple of weeks ago my pool lighting stopped working. I texted Mike to ask if he might have any idea why. I didn't ask him because I thought it had something to do with his work, I just figured he might have an idea because he works with these lighting systems all the time. He replied within a few minutes, suggesting I check the GFI outlet near my pool box. I thanked him and said I would check when I got home in the afternoon. So SURPRISE!!!, about 3p that same day, Mike texted me to let me know the lights were working, that it HAD BEEN the GFI!!! He came by the house, all on his own, to check my system!! WOW! That's his signature customer service! I offered to pay for his time, but he nicely declined. THIS IS THE PERSON YOU WANT WORKING ON YOUR JOB. He's honest, legit, dedicated, and competent! Thanks Mike!! read more

Mike and his team installed our outdoor lighting several years ago and it was amongst the best investments in our ability to enjoy our outdoor space. The fixtures are tanks! They just weather through it all. I'm posting now because we're so incredibly happy with the results so many years later that I basically feel the responsibility to help anyone considering the same investment. You'll be glad you did. read more

Gambino Landscape Lighting - Outdoor lighting - Lighting Fixtures & Equipment Near Me

Mike did an outstanding job on our outdoor lighting and I hope he can come back to update our system.

Good Evening, Mr. Gambino. I just wanted to thank you for your 8 1/2 year old response on lawnsite.com. The home we purchased here in Tulsa nearly 20 years ago was professionally landscaped and illuminated by NightScaping. https://www.lawnsite.com/threads/need-help-w-nightscaping-transformer-timer.269563/ I had an issue with the timer on one of my SS-1000 transformers so I searched google and came across the link above where you calmly educated the original poster with exactly what I needed to add old Grasslin I had in a drawer to rectify our issue. Just wanted to let you know and say thanks and may God Bless you and yours! All the best! Brian read more

The final effect incorporated everything we needed with safety of residents at night, to visual aesthics, to recreational area ambience! Our Board highly suggests you contact Mr Gambino or at least go to his website to view his handiwork. Lynn read more

Mr. Gambino and his crew are very professional and their work is beautiful. They were on time every single day for two weeks and were very particular about making sure their work was exactly how I wanted it. Yes, they are more expensive, but the quality of their work shows. I would definitely recommend them. read more

This guy is the epitome of every bad thing you hear about contractors: arrogant, chauvinistic, overcharges, and doesn't stand behind his work. We called him out last month to fix some lights that were out in the backyard and to add one new one. We had previously had the same lights fixed a month earlier by the guy who did our Xmas lights for $160. Mike told us that the work that guy did was incorrect and dangerous with exposed wires at the transformer and everything had shorted. He said he cleaned it all up and replaced the transformer, bulbs, added the new light etc. and charged us $867. A week later they were out again. He came back and blamed it in the wiring of a light we had added in that section about 6 months ago. So he rewired it and charged us another $220. Now last night, one week later, the lights are out again. So we call him and he tells us its our fault and he is not coming back and to f-off. Do you want this guy at your house? read more

I hired Mike Gambino to do the landscape lighting in my back yard. He was extremely honest, thorough, and definitely a straight shooter. He and his crew were 15min early for the install and worked extremely fast. The even finished up about an hour ahead of schedule. Mike is an expert in his field, he made the design and install look like child's play. The end result is absolutely amazing, completely transformed the look of my back yard in the evening. My wife and I are so impressed, we are planning to rip out the cheep Home Depot lighting in the front yard and have Mike re-do it with his very high quality equipment. Bottom line, you get what you pay for, and with Mike Gambino you get a first class job. read more

Mike Gambino is what you wish for when contracting for landscape lighting services. He is oustanding, the consummate professional, in design and installation. He listens to the client and offers sage advise after he inspects and evaluates the premises. He carefully went over the proposal with me and answered all questions. I never had to worry about the workmanship. It is obvious that he takes great pride in his work. Excellent communication skills and Mike was always responsive to my calls. If he said he would be there at 7 AM, I knew he would be there and ready to work. He made adjustments as needed and I could not be happier with the landscape lighting in my front and back yard. He and his crew were careful to not damage any of the exsisting landscaping. The results are spectacular. In addition, Mike Gambino is a very nice person. read more

Mike Gambino and his crew did an outstanding job on our landscape lighting. Here are some of my favorite parts: 1) Mike didn't play any games. He's fair and honest. 2) He prides himself on his punctuality and wow was that true. He and his crew entered our yard and went to work at the precise time he told us each day. 3) He's great at what he does. Each day of the job he activates more lights so that you can see them at night. If there's any concerns he can easily make changes. Firstly his ideas were great and where I wanted things a bit different he instantly understood what I wanted and made it happen. 4) The fixtures are absolutely the very best. I didn't want the typical cheap products (a la Home Depot) that would fall apart easily over time. I didn't know where to look. Everything I found was cheap junk. There are some nice outdoor fixtures out there, but all the in ground stuff was cheaply made. That's why Mike designed and uses his own fixtures. I had already done the research I didn't need any convincing, but when you hold one in your hand you'll understand the quality too. 5) Most of the light fixtures in my yard are near invisible. A few are meant to be seen, but those that aren't don't stick out day or night. I have 58 lights in my backyard alone and you would think I have only two or three (plus the ones that are meant to be seen (like mushroom path lights)). 6) He did exactly what he said he would do, exactly when he said it. None of this I'll start on X day and then nothing or starting the job and then disappearing. 7) The fixtures and the installation are as gardener proof as possible. wires are buried in PVC. 8) The cleanliness and efficiency! Oh my God! They dug trenches to bury PVC for 58 lights and they left no mess and the grass looks just like it was before they started. Amazing! You should be aware that this is a system that will last and last, but you won't be able to compare prices with Home Depot-like products and your gardener's installation. Mike told me many of his customers have already had a landscaping lighting system (or 2 or 3) that stopped working, rotted, fell apart, etc. That way, after that experience, they understand the value of quality fixtures and installation. I believe it. In my case I had already done the research. I had seen my friends' and neighbors' lights and how they didn't hold up over time. I knew that I was looking for a better, lasting and functioning alternative. So I looked and looked, and researched and researched. I was hopeful when I started communicating with Mike, but now after the job is done I can definitively say it was a great choice for us. We particularly needed our yard to be an extension of our house and that is what we got. read more

Throughly impressed by Mike and his crew. From concept/design to installation this company is top notch! Yeah they maybe a little more pricey, but the quality of the product they install and the fact that they show up on time and complete the project with no delays shows the pride of service benchmark Mike has created. If you want landscape lighting done right the first time - go with Gambino. You will be delighted with the result. read more

On December 3,2006, Mike Gambino and crew installed Part One of my landscape lighting. I could not believe the transformation. My pretty yard became my SENSATIONAL yard. One year later Mike returned to add more lights. It's been almost ten years and I am the happiest client of Gambino Landscape Lighting. Today, Sunday, August 21, 2016 I had a problem turning one section of the lights off. I called Mike and within the hour, he called me back. He remembered the locations of my six transformers and walked me through a fix. He will come to my house this week to check out the lights. This is not the first time Mike has responded to one of my panicked calls. What more can I say . . . Maybe . . . He is wonderful, professional and knowledgeable. In summary, my yard is magnificent, my plants and trees twinkle. And this elation and excitement is due to GAMBINO LANDSCAPE LIGHTING!!! read more

I have known Mike Gambino for the past 18 years, and he never dissapoints. He installed the first go-round of landscape and security lights here about 16 years ago, and he has gradually added more modules over the years at my request. Recently I totally changed-out and updated the entire landscaping and security system to LED and digital solar. It was costly, but it will eventually pay for itself going forward. This system has inspired my neighbors to install energy efficient lighting and systems. I highly recommend Gambino. He is a pro. read more

Thanks to a beautiful job by Mike and his crew. He came out and did exactly as I requested. His materials are excellent and takes pride in his work. And he's on the job the whole time -- unlike other contractors who just give estimates and show up to pick up checks. It's great to be able to speak to the owner of the company while the job is on-going. read more

If I could give six stars, I would. My wife and I hired Mike to install an outdoor lighting system for our newly remodeled house. He had installed a system for us about 10 years ago but we had to disassemble it given the significant changes to our yards (pool, etc). Not only did he give us a fair quote, but he was able to use some of the original lighting fixtures he had previously installed. Just needed to refurbish them which saved us a good deal of money. He and his crew arrived on time (if not early) each morning and worked non-stop throughout the day. The were all very courteous and professional and took care to avoid damaging any of our landscaping. When he was done with the job, he came back two nights in a row to check the lights and made some adjustments to the automatic timer system. We are thrilled with the results; the house looks amazing. For those of the reviewers that have said he is expensive: my answer is that you get what you pay for. We fully expect this system to last for as long as we are in our house (and probably after that). read more
