This was my third visit to Galvan over the years. I've gotten tires for my horse trailer twice besides having the bearings packed on the horse trailer. I went in on a Monday. They didn't have my size, but said they would order them and they would call me the next day. They asked me again, "Do you want us to order them?" "Yes," I said. "Will they have a 2026 manufacturing date?" I asked. "Oh, sure," they said. I got an estimate for the wheel packing too. When I didn't get the call, I checked in on Wednesday afternoon and the tires were in. I pulled in before 9am on Thursday. The bays were empty. I backed in a spot and asked if I could unhook. "Whoa!, How long?" One man asked. "How about noon?" My order was for $880. I don't know if they thought I was going to sit around for 2 hours waiting for my trailer to be repaired. There waiting area is not that comfortable. This is a local place, which is why I began shopping here. But, it's also a place where everyone calls you "boss" or "chief" (I got both) and there's something about that I find irritating. It's difficult to say about the value, as prices everywhere are going up. The price for the bearing pack had risen 30% over the last time I had it done. The tires installed had a date of "1225", so that promised was not kept. It's a local place, and I don't enjoy writing less-than-favorable reviews, but I'll be looking for another shop to work on my trailer. read more

Galvan Tire Service - Galvan Tires - Tires Near Me - Bakersfield, California

I would NOT recommend Galvan Tires Inc to anyone!! They will rip you off, they are liars, they don't stand by their work and do not right the wrong. It will cost you more money in the long run to deal with them!! I took two of my vehicles an SUV and the other a full-size truck in January 2026 and I bought brand new tires for both vehicles. I explained to them the use of each vehicle and what I was looking for. The full-size truck. I explained that we do haul livestock pulling a livestock trailer out-of-town occasionally. And the SUV would be used to travel back-and-forth to Fresno California, five days a week. I purchased the tires they recommended for both vehicles. June 1st when I was washing the truck, which I usually take to the car wash, I noticed the front two tires both had lost the tread on half of the tires. I went back to Galvin Tires - Allen and explained to them that we purchased the tires in January 2026. They looked at the tires and proceeded to tell me it was driver error/my fault. If I would like to have the problem corrected they could sell me 2 tires for the truck for $240 each. I was also told that when my husband brought the truck in to have the tires installed, they explained to him that it needed an alignment. The problem was my husband did not drive the truck to have the tires installed I did and they dealt with me regarding the truck. So that was a lie. If the truck needed an alignment which they never told me I needed, I would've had it done if they would've mentioned it. My husband drove his SUV there and dealt with it, but was there when I talked to them about my truck, again never mentioned it needing an alignment to me or my husband. Now I'm having to go to another tire shop to have new tires install on my truck in the front and an alignment done, which is gonna cost me and should of been corrected and done right in the first place by Galvin Tires - Allen. The tire shop I'm dealing with now said that I got ripped off from the tire shop where I purchased my tires from (Galvan Tires)!! Galvan Tires Inc is a rip off, so BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!! read more

Well.... We keep going back because these guys are the best!!! Stopped by for an estimate on some big pricey tires we needed for the truck.... they found the best prices for the ones we needed!! Galvan Tire Service - Tires Near Me - Bakersfield, California

After stopping for gas on our way home from a trip along the coast, we noticed that our tire was loose. We called a few places before finding Galvan Tires. They were incredibly helpful from the start. We called around closing time and they let us know that their after hours mechanic would be coming out to help us. The gentleman came out to assess the situation and although he couldn't make the repair right at that moment, he disassembled the wheel to take the bearings and the hub so that he could work on them at the shop before sending someone to finish the job the next day. Everyone who we spoke to at Galvan was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, resourceful and professional. We highly recommend Galvan Tire and their service team. We called upon several service providers who offered little to no help at all. What a relief that Galvan was available to help us with our breakdown. read more

They are hardworking, local, and honest. It takes one day to order the tires needed for your vehicle. No wait time.

I went in for an oil change and to have my tires checked. They were amazing! Galvan has been around for decades, family owned, and they still do business in the old style, based on really good customer service. Employees smile; they joke with you. They diagnose problems quickly and sometimes they don't charge for minor things. I was very impressed, and this will be my go-to place for any service they can provide! read more

Great value and service! I bought some BFG KO2's in a bit of an odd size and no problem getting them quickly. Whoever ordered my tires mistakenly ordered the wrong ply but it was discovered prior to my arrival and they still got them on time for the install date. Love these folks... read more

We stopped here because we were having trouble with one of our tires. I was greeted by the owner. He was a super nice guy. All the employees were very polite and helpful! They all really seemed to enjoy their work. He explained the problem but since I had a warranty on my tires through another company, I ended up going elsewhere. The owner was very understanding and still very helpful and knowledgeable. Next time I will go here for tires. Rare to find such great customer service. read more

Fast and done right - that's how they do it at Galvan. I've been using these folks for all my tire needs, since the family patriarch, Chon, ran the business. On our way back from Yosemite towards Orange County, California, my rear tire blew out. I had a run flat tire so I could drive for a little while, but it was Sunday late afternoon and everything was closed I still had 250 miles to go. Luckily, I found Joel at Galvan Tire. Joel gave me the address to his shop and I met him there and he changed the tire for me right away. What I appreciate more, is he had the full opportunity to really take advantage of me and charge me basically anything he wanted in this situation, but he did not. $125 is all it cost me to get back on the road, which I was happy to pay. Joel. THANK YOU read more

Being a woman, I often times question the reliability of someone at an auto repair center. Galvan Tire service technicians met us with a smile, and were there to help us in an instant. They found the issue with my son's vehicle, calmed our concerns and repaired the problem, quicker than we were ready for... In and out within half an hour. I highly recommend them! The shop is professional, responsive, and gave us ultimately great customer service. If I could give them more than a 5 star rating I would!!! read more

My husband and I heard of Galvan Tire from our friends who HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended them, and we're glad we took that advice. As a women I'm usually iffy about calling mechanics because they always quote me a price at least $40-60 higher than what they'll quote my husband when he calls for the same exact job work, but these guys quoted me the same amount they quoted my husband, about a day apart, they guarantee their work, and they always do a good job within reasonable time. We live on the east side and we have no quarrels with driving or towing our vehicles all the way to Taft. We highly HIGHLY recommend these guys. read more
