Ordered a vehicle in 2022 that was never delivered. Spent years trying to get answers with no response from management. Only resolved after legal action and a judge-led settlement. Very poor communication and accountability. Would not recommend. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We have struggled with Galt Chrysler for months now. It originally started back in the summer when we took the doors off for the first time on our brand new 2020 Jeep Gladiator. When putting the door pins back into the hinges with the designated tool that came with the vehicle a manufacturer defect caused the bolt to break off in the door pin (only one pin - the rest were fine no problems). We brought the vehicle in for service shortly after. After the appointment a very assumptive report was written that we must have used power tools and over torqued it why physically was impossible based on the way it broke. The door pin had only made it half way in before breaking clean in half. We debated with them over two visits that it should be covered under the warranty, which they refused to look into. The suggestion was to buy a whole new door hinge and pay to have it painted. Which would have been hundreds of dollars. Finally we called Jeep Canada and discussed with a representative over the phone about the warranty policy. Jeep Canada has determined that it should be covered fully. After a third visit and communicating this to the employees at Galt Chrysler we were told "well we don't usually do this and it shouldn't be covered but we will do this in good faith". Like they were doing us some kind of favour. Fast forward more than 3.5 months of waiting the door hinge that was being ordered still hadn't come in and no phone call had been made. We finally got the truck in and planned to have no vehicle for a day and my fiance receives a voicemail in the middle of his work shift that the door hinge has been painted the wrong colour and they need to keep it for a second day. He was unable to pick up the car on time because he works evenings and was forced to make arrangements with work. On the second day he gets a phone call around 10-11am saying that the door hinge is on and ready for pick up. But they hadn't put in a new door pin. This made no sense to the two of us. If it were to only take one minute to put in why isn't it done? Then he was told that the car key would be locked inside the vehicle. This was very important because we have issues with the functionality of the spare key. Last night we arrived to pick up the vehicle, he unlocks it the car alarm goes off and one of the only ways to shut it off is with the original key. Which is no where to be find. We struggled for 10 minutes trying to find the key, in the dark while the horn was blaring. This morning he returns first thing. A mechanic runs out to put the pin in. This takes 30 seconds (why he needed to return for this is beyond me. You don't complete half the job and say it's ready for pick up. ) and then he asks about his key which the technician knew nothing about. He then spoke with the account representative and all she could say was "sorry I forgot". That's all we ever get there is a sorry. 5-6 visits in less than 6 months and it's a head ache every time. My partner told them how dissatisfied he was and all they could say is we have good service please don't judge us on this one incident.... as you can see it isn't just "one incident". The complete lake of respect from them for our time, and the fact that they pretend like they did us some kind of favour when Jeep Canada hotline is the only reason anything got done. Safe to say we are extremely frustrated and will not be returning or recommending this dealership to anyone! read more

When I first went in, I just wanted to scope out some used vehicles. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Chris helped me find a vehicle that I ended up falling in love with. And he was honest and direct. Not once did I feel like he was just trying to close a deal. And Tariq from financing. Wow, did this guy work overtime to help me. He went above and beyond and ended up getting me a rate I didn't think was going to be possible. Through every step I felt at ease and confident that I was in the right hands and that the staff was working hard to help me. The end result: I got an incredible vehicle at a fair price, and felt extremely confident I went to the right place. They've been open for 40 years I'm told and I can understand why. The management in the shop are rude, unprofessional and uninformed. The staff put the onus on me to verify the terms of an agreement made by FCA Canada. Without getting into details, I have had much more extensive and expensive repairs done at Wellington Motors with less headaches and more professionalism. I attempted to have this repair performed by Wellington Motors, but they were very busy and I was forced to try Galt, who had plenty of time for me. They way I was spoken to and the steps I was made to take to make it all happen explains why. Quick, efficient, suspicious, condescending. That's the Galt way. read more

Extremely poor customer service from the service department. Booked an appointment for service over a week ago for maintenance and a couple of recalls for a vehicle I purchased from this dealer just over a year ago. Information from service advisors is basic and generic coming from a technical background i can see through the B.s. Not fair of me to say this about all of the advisors because Dave was professional and courteous. One advisor was wearing camouflage, which struck me as unprofessional also seemed to be having a bad day and taking it out on customers and co workers. Everyone has their bad days but customers should never feel uncomfortable or threatened. Parts were not ordered for the work that needed to be done (although i was told all parts were ordered and ready to be installed) because an inspection of which mirrors installed on the vehicle was to be done for them to order the correct parts. My time is very limited and cannot afford multiple visits to the dealer being left without a vehicle. Do not waste your money buying the gold service contract that they are happy to sell you and reluctant to make good on the terms. Particularly on the promised rental vehicle if the vehicle has to stay over night for repairs. On the bright side, parts department person there was also professional and courteous. read more

My brand new Jeep Cherokee's moonroof exploded, overnight in my garage. After I called my dealer and Chrysler Canada without any success, I ended up taking my car to have the glass replaced to Galt Chrysler Dodge Jeep. They confirmed that glass is not under warranty even if "they never saw anything like this ever before". I argued again if this is not a manufacture problem, because I have no explanation how this can happen. Isn't the moonroof suppose to be at least as strong as the windshield? And if you get a rock on your windshield, while driving, it doesn't explode. You might get a chip, a crack but it doesn't shatter into pieces. I consider this a serious safety problem. What if this would have happened while I was driving? Anyway, I decided to have it fixed and deal with the safety problem later. The window was suppose to be done by the end of the day. Later in the evening, I got a call to inform me that the car has to stay overnight at the dealer to "dry". After another hour I received an email saying that my sunroof has to be replaced now as well, because it got damaged when they replaced the moonroof and now they have to order the part and I will have to wait another week. And pay for another $1500. Quite interesting how all of a sudden both glasses had to be replaced. Is that because they realized it's not the thickness/quality that was suppose to be and it was time to cover it up? And who is the idiot that has to swallow this? Me. And pay for it as well. After another week, my car is finally done (two weeks in total) and when I went to pick it up, my brand new car has a big scratch on the front right. I refused to pick up my car like that and I was told the dealer is not responsible for any damages to the car while the car is in their parking lot......... What????? And this is after I requested them from the beginning, to make sure my car in parked inside (since it had no roof). I told them I will take my car home and park it in my garage until they are ready to have the work done. They assured me, my car will be taken care of and parked inside. And now I have a car with a scratch on, that had to have the sunroof/moonroof replace and I didn't even get to drive this car enough for an oil change yet.............. DON'T TRUST YOUR DEALERSHIP AND ESPECIALLY GALT CHRYSLER. read more

Horrible experience and none communicative staff I bought 2 brand new ram 1500 classics in 1 month. I got rear ended with the first one in the first 3 weeks of ownership and it got wrote off. I got the second truck and asked for an built navigation system. I was to told I would lose only my climate and volume controls as it was a large tablet. When I got it the navigation did not work and the manager gave me his word " come hell or high water I will come to your house if I have to and get your navigation working before the holidays" he never showed or called for 2 weeks. During that time I found these things did not work/integrate with system. 1) Lost hands free calling 2) Lost my compass 3) Built in mics don't work with it. You hand hanging mics from your window. 4) Navigation and phone wont play sound at the same time. You can use one or the other 5) The screen was so dark you cant see it during the day 6) Not as many climate control options There are other smaller issues but they are the main ones. After Christmas and new years with no contact from them and no navigation I reached out and informed them of the issues. I had also been in contact with the makers of the aftermarket system and they informed me that not everything integrates properly. They said they would fuiger this out. After 4 days of me doing research on forums and trouble shooting it I called them. Again they had done nothing to figure this out. I asked for some money back as I have been doing the leg work trying to fix it and was told I could not get any money back. So I paid 2500$ for a system that did not work properly. THE KICKER, all they had to do was speak with there tech/mechanic department and they would have told the sales people that aftermarket was crap. So not only am I out 2500$ after losing almost 10k$ in fees and lost wages getting hit by a drunk driver, these people took me for my money and did not do their due diligence in looking onto it. Avoid these people if you can. They will take your money and leave you out to dry if you have any issues after they take your money. read more

Where do I begin... if I can say anything, it is to find another dealership. Seriously, any dealership other than this one. I've never experienced such a headache, hassle, and just overall bad experience from a dealership and I've purchased new and used cars from all brands. We dealt with Amy, who to be honest, from the start was not the friendliest and was angry that we did not want to provide a health card (this is illegal to ask for, especially to photocopy it). All she had to say was, "do you have any other ID". We had already given her a drivers license but she insisted on both. In a nutshell, we test drove a truck and didn't love it so decided to check elsewhere. We waited 30+ minutes for our keys. Amy came back and claimed her manager had found the same truck with everything we wanted at another lot. Great! So we thought. It came with a few extra things that the dealership near us didn't have. (We drove 1.5 hours to Galt). So it made it worth it with extra options. We were told in order for them to bring it over we had to pay deposit and application. Fair. We loved it and were sold on it and have already driven this far. 3.5 hours of sitting at the dealership and not being offered water once, and we missed an important appointment. The waiting was insane. We had an appointment booked and it still took 3.5 hours of mainly waiting. When given the financing price the number was way off of what we had when we calculated it. She claimed it was right and her manager did it. I had to actually show her a calculator instead of her trusting us and asking her manager to look it over she insisted we were wrong. She came back, claiming that the computer automatically added an extended warranty. Really? Seems fishy that it "automatically did this". We asked for the VIN and delivery date for insurance, couldn't get either. we left, waited till that night asked again, still nothing. Next day, Amy calls and says "we can't get that truck, but we have a similar one different colour, less options, same price" wait what? Lol. We were stuck at this point. I called another dealership hoping they could maybe transfer the credit check we had done, but nope. So now we took multiple credit hits, paid a $2k deposit, and have driven a total of 3 hours and missed an appointment, all to get a truck that wasn't what we asked for. Ultimately we decided to take the truck as we were out of options, and I didn't want 2 more credit hits. Amy was argumentative and less than understanding. This would be frustrating for anyone. Sold on one truck, given something else and then accompanied by zero empathy. We dealt with Tariq for financing. He's incredibly condescending, and we expressed this to Amy and apparently this is just how he comes across. Well maybe, consider a different position where people don't feel like you are an arrogant sexist after 5 minutes of talking with you. He talked down to me as if I was stupid, when I knew exactly what he was talking about, I just tried to clarify and his response was, "let me explain so SHE understands". Oh I GOT IT, the first time. But thanks. He also told us don't be surprised when your NEW truck is dirty on pick up. I'm sorry what? After I questioned it and said I have never in my life had a new car given to me dirty, and I've never had to paid for it to be cleaned. On the bill was a $200 cleaning fee. He claimed it wasn't being charged, but it was on the bill. He then claimed he was doing us a "favour" by not charging us. Well thanks, after spending 50k on a truck I am so grateful you are willing to clean an already clean truck. On pick up, he also argued with me about gap insurance. I explained that since we are putting more down, the gap insurance should be less. He argued no. I told him to check. Surprise, $500 less. We asked for two days in a row for a pick up time and couldn't get one from Amy. The day of, we waited around all day and couldn't even get an estimate on pick up time. Finally I had enough, I called the manager Trevor. Trevor was nice enough, and funny, the truck was to be ready in 30 minutes. If we hadn't called we probably would've waited till 8:00. Amy sent a text saying "sorry I was busy with other customers". I guess we aren't as important or as high of a priority once your paperwork is signed. Overall, please consider another dealership. I will always give credit where it is due, and I have had great experiences at Oakville VW, image Honda etc. but this dealership seriously has zero morals and this is obviously a sales tactic they use as I've read other people saying the same thing. Save your time and find somewhere honest, and a sales person who is less miserable and can show kindness. read more

Terrible experience with this dealership. Our family needs a minivan and the Pacifica has the best reviews. We went in for a test drive and they were so concerned with selling us on the spot. I was asked before anything "what do you want in the vehicle?". Usually the salesperson tells me about different features and trim levels and we go from there. Finally we actually got in the van. Another salesperson accompanied us (often you get to drive it by yourself) and after two minutes, instructed us to turn around and go back. It was asking a lot just to get my wife behind the wheel for a bit. I asked basic questions about features and the answers are vague or, I found out researching later, totally inaccurate. We are not looking to buy for a few months, but we were treated like a waste of time. We went in expecting to buy that van, but we are put off of the dealership and possibly to whole brand, at this point. read more

Awful experience. We made an appointment and ordered tires several weeks before our appointment. We then drove two vehicles (so we could run errands) an hour to Galt with our kids. After we dropped off the vehicle we were called shortly after and told that they had forgot to order the rims! They said it would be about half an hour to fix something with the washer fluid line (which broke a month after we bought brand new), and then we would have to make yet another appointment. When we arrived, we were told that actually it would be another hour before things were done, so we had to sit with three children and wait. And to top it all off, the washer fluid leak couldn't even be fixed. All we were offered was a free oil change. Terrible experience and such a waste of our time. read more

Will definitely be contacting dodge themselves over the horrendous customer service I've experienced with this dealership. Will be finding a new dealer. Since i purchased my new vehicle about 2 month's ago its been pretty good except for an un-knowledgeable service staff, about 1000km into driving my 2016 challenger i started hearing a loose clip behind a panel in the back, i asked service to remove the panel and replace/fix the loose clip to which they told me due to driving my vehicle too aggressively and causeing excessive tire wear, i would need to buy new tires before they would address the issue. After being given such an unprofessional response i returned a few days later to speak to the service manager and he was able to hear me out and schedule an appointment to fix the clip. Well i went in for the appointment and after 2 hour's they claimed to of fixed it when actually all they did was place a peice of sticky tape on a completely un-related peice of plastic. All of this hassel and wasted time and I'm still dealing with a loose/broken clip in my brand new vehicle that rattles over every bump. read more
