On the day that I picked the Trax up, the engine light came on as I was driving on the QEW. Back to John Bear. To cut to the chase, for the next 10 weeks, I had to take the vehicle back to the shop 6 TIMES due to warning lights coming on, vehicle wouldn't start, window wouldn't go up and on one occasion the Trax went into "limp home mode" as I was driving on a busy expressway. I drove to Quebec and had electrical issues there. I can't stress enough how helpful the staff at John Bear were. They TOTALLY stood behind what they sold AND eventually solved the issue. They provided me with a rental car on 2 occasions- one being 9 days of rental paid by John Bear. They paid for an Uber to get me from the dealership to the car rental company. When I experienced issues while in Quebec, I was advised by Joe to take the vehicle to the nearest Chevy dealership. John Bear footed the bill. When I was searching for a new car, my big brother strongly advised that I purchase a vehicle from a large, reputable dealership and not some random small car lot. He said that a large dealership would stand behind their commitment to sell safe, reliable and quality vehicles. John Bear did EXACTLY that. I'm not going to lie - that 10 weeks was incredibly stressful and it negatively impacted my life. I had to put off my job search as my work requires a vehicle. I lost income from my part time job as my job was 1.5 hours away and the Trax broke down and I had to call in and book off my shift. I had to cancel weekend plans twice. My mini vacation to Quebec was pretty much ruined as the vehicle was having issues that began the day after I arrived and it was in the shop for almost 4 days. HOWEVER.... In the end, I am giving John Bear a 5 star rating due to the fact that they TOTALLY stood behind their commitment to their customer. Gerry and the service team worked diligently to resolve the issue with the warning lights coming and staying on. The issues with the Trax are resolved! Joe (manager of the previously owned vehicle department) was 100% supportive. Joe even gave me his cell number with instructions to call or text him if I was experiencing issues with the vehicle even if it was after hours or a holiday. Joe and Gerry are the best, along with Lori (Service Manager.) I do have to say that I wasn't impressed with the salesperson who sold me the vehicle as he fibbed to me twice and wasn't helpful. The best thing that he did was to pass me onto Joe. Once Joe took over, I knew that I was in good hands. The Trax is now working fine and hasn't had to return to the shop since the beginning of November. The vehicle is great on gas. It's fully loaded and is super cute! Once I get over being stressed for 10-12 solid weeks, I'm going to fully enjoy the Trax. No more obsessively checking the dashboard lights. I can FINALLY get back to my life and finding a new full time job! My big brother was 100% right in his insistence in me purchasing a vehicle from a reputable dealership. John Bear more than proved that they're a reputable dealership. Had I purchased a vehicle from Auto Trader private sale or a small used car lot, I would have been totally screwed. Thanks John Bear!

    On May 24th i came with my friend through Wayne's Auto World kijiji ad to see couple of his cars…read moreand i was interested in a Honda odyssey, when i test drove the car with my friend, i came back to the office and talked to Mr. Omar and i told him i am interested but there are some issues it has to be fixed, Omar said no worry everything will be fixed, so i wrote the following issues on a paper for Omar so they don't forgot it, the list was: - Hard transmission shifting while stopping - loud noise in exhaust - A/C not cooling properly - Hard vibration in tires when stopping - Windsheild chip Omar promised all will be fixed and based on that i purchased the car, i borrowed money for the first time in my life to buy a better car than the one i had and avoid going to mechanics regularly On May 26th they said my car is ready, i came again with my friend and waited there more than 5 hours because the car paper was not ready, i asked them all good he said yes we fixed everything in the list i gave him, so i took the car and i was in a rush because i had visitors coming from overseas for 3 days only, while i am driving home i noticed all the issues still there and even more issues: - Breaks were bad and the whole car shakes when i apply brakes - Windshield chip still there - Exhaust noise still there and too loud - The slipping feeling while you're stopping the car - Steering too hard can't move it while driving slowly - A/C works properly only when i am driving, if traffic is jammed it's too weak - the middle chair in second row is missing and it's very important to me - right sliding door sometimes stuck - tires are too old In same day i called Omar and told him i am gonna have to come back when my visitors leave and after 3 days i came back and i left the car with them for a week to get fixed On June 3rd, they asked me to come pick up my car and i was hoping all is fixed, they did fixed some problems but now still having the following issues and i am honestly can't trust this car any more, the following issues are: - My main concern, transmission hard shifting which going to cost between $800 to $3000 as per "Mister Transmission" - Middle chair is missing - Front right side tire is cracked all around as well as all tires are 5-10 years old - Right side sliding door get stuck sometimes - I am not happy with the job done on the windshield chip and i think it's gonna break later - Exhaust still makes some noise from time to time - Light vibration in tires and steering wheel when driving over 100 I contacted UCDA asking for their help, after i sent them all info and they contacted the dealer they told me we can't help you sorry cause dealer is refusing to cooperate I am now asking OMVIC help hopefully they'll be able to solve my problem As a conclusion and advice for everyone, don't deal with any dealer without writing all sale conditions and let them sign it before you sign the bill of sale

I have contacted Wayne and he is not willing to pay for the brakes, balljoints etc. to bring the vehicle up to standards. I am forced to call the Ministry of Transport to report his actions. Service manager Ron was rude and condescending to me unprovoked when I went to my service appointment. He's been rude/needlessly short with me in the past also. It seems like he is miserable to be working there. When I purchased from this dealership 2 years ago, it included a number of oil changes. I had one oil change left. I asked the lady on the phone who booked my appointment, if my last oil change credit would be applied during this visit. She confirmed yes. When I arrived and saw Ron, I asked him about my oil change credit before leaving my vehicle. He told me that my oil change was treated like an 'extended warranty' and it expired in April and there's nothing he can do about it. I remained polite and let him know that the lady who booked my appointment had said it would be applied. also explained that I was not well and wasn't able to use my vehicle at that time. (My mileage was also way under what was posted on the sticker for my service appointment, but I do understand the recommended date for my next oil change had passed). He remained firmly telling me no while having a smug expression and then most shocking of all: he told me "that it has to be paid for or HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT which he isn't going to do." I just looked at him. I did not react though I wished I spoke up and had told him how rude, condescending and unnecessary that comment was. I have no problems paying for my car or anything else concerning me. I would never expect Ron to even pay for a bottle of water for me. Why he phrased it like that, as if I expected it to come out of his paycheque is beyond me. Afterwards, he said "the company would have to pay for it and he's not going to do that." Again, I never asked for the company, him, Nissan Canada, etc. to pay for anything for me. I bought additional protection and warranties, and of course it was disappointing that after being a great repeat customer here, it was so easy to say no we will not help you with the oil change that's rightfully yours and throw that in your face. I was informed my air filter needed replacing during the inspection and I declined to do it, as I will not give this location a dime more of my business. Shameful and I should've bought my vehicles elsewhere. I will gladly go elsewhere for my maintenance needs. Upon picking up my vehicle, a service advisor helped me to check out as Ron was busy with another customer. I was frankly relieved not to have to interact with him again. The service advisor was courteous. He explained that the car wash was broken (of course) and attached a complementary car wash ticket for next time. I am not comfortable coming back to this location and should have asked him to keep the ticket for another customer. I don't need the free car wash for any time. However, he asked me to give Ron a 10 on his review, and was serious in telling me to give him a 10 that would be great thanks. It's unprofessional, you should allow your customers to choose for themselves. It is not appropriate to let people know in advance to give them a 10. That wasn't a great ending to my poor visit. My coworker even offered to accompany me to pick up my vehicle when it was ready, but I shouldn't need accompanying when going to a service appointment and went back alone. Service appointments shouldn't be so uncomfortable that we need someone there with us. What a shame that Ron is an assistant manager for the department. Huge miss on Nissan Plaza when your workers are very comfortable belittling and showing arrogance to your polite customers who don't raise a fuss. I would certainly recommend others DO NOT come here to this location. Buy elsewhere and get your maintenance work done elsewhere.

Ps I have photos of all that was wrong. First I would go get your vehicle re certified by your mechanic not theirs. Second their service depart is there to take your money. So I bought a Cadillac Escalade used 2010. I bought this yes it had high K's on it but apparently the motors was replaced so i went for it. Now here where the problems come started. They took more than a week to get it ready. Then it was a evening pick up I sit with Connie and she goes through all they apparently did.lol what a joke. Nothing was done. They said the A/C worked ya right not even a Belt there. The windshield leaked they wouldn't fix it. Rust all around the window I did not see. I replaced a door. Because of holes. I did about $5500 in Body work fixing the exterior with all the holes they covered up. Lower Ball Joint was replaced brake pads had to be replaced. Wipers did not work had them fixed. The windshield/ ball joints / brakes are all part of the safety. This dealership is a joke. Yes nice but they're Snakes in suits. I have all photos and documentation of what I did and what they said they did. So I will write a review on every site because after countless emails not one person has phoned back. As for Larry the owner. KARMA IS A xxxxx. How dare you take advantage. I trusted this dealer because of its history also because my uncle and him were at one time business partners. So if you want to take in the xxx like I did from a bunch of people who sells pigs with lipstick on it then go there. This is the worst Dealer and I will be following through with every legal action to but pressure on them so they never screw anyone ever again. Yes it was a only 11,500 vehicle but since I'm already $8000,00 into it I'm not happy. Ps. I asked for them to Krown Rust this vehicle and that was a joke as well. Missed so many spots. After picking up car noticed substantial front end damage that has been repaired except for the black plastic piece under the bumper apparently you need to climb under a car to make sure all is ok! Contacted general manager Ihab and was basically told not there problem I must have hit a curb and they did not show anything reported on the certification by their mechanic! You can clearly see it is old damage! All I wanted was them to fix $100 part! Stay away they don't back up their customers! When you pay $29000 for a vehicle you expect a little respect! Will never use them again!
