I chose Golden Eagle based on the very knowledgeable expertise of the estimator (Christian), who also stayed involved with the job through completion to ensure the work was done correctly and consistently with the bid. I also appreciated how they calibrated the bid to include only what I was interested in having done, which went a long way in my choosing them over their competitors. The installers showed up on time each day until completion and did a good job cleaning up after themselves and protecting my floor from entryway to the utility room. Attention to detail was outstanding and included them addressing some minor concerns I brought up during the installation process. They were very professional and did a quality job at a fair price. The guys clearly took a lot of pride in their work and doing things right, even when that meant a little extra time and effort. (I would also note that their Office Admin Christina was very accommodating and a joy to work with as well).

Once we got the invoice, we checked the cost of parts, estimated a reasonable hourly tech charge and came up with a cost of 1,100 instead of the 3,100 charged. Attempts to negotiate were unsucessful. Management took 40% off the original invoice, and we were pleased with the outome.

I am a local, and while their expertise and reliability make them a little pricier, one visit from someone else just to give me an estimate on a boiler service, that left me with no heat or hot water during the single digit nights, then wouldn't return my call to undo whatever the guy did, makes the cost of better service worth it. Paul from Ben Franklin knows my wacko high efficiency system and all of its issues when others have just scratched their heads. They are awesome! He was incredibly informative, gave me multiple options, and even after priding the job with several other local plumbers, I chose to go with FPH. Since then, I don't call anyone else. They've handled a major clean-out when I had a serious backup, fixed multiple leaks (shower & sink), and taken care of several other issues. Every experience has been excellent. Alex in the office is always responsive and great at explaining estimates, and they consistently get them out quickly. Esmeralda, who is often the first point of contact, is kind, knowledgeable, and asks all the right questions to get things moving efficiently. All of the technicians who have come to my home have been professional, polite, and thorough. They take the time to explain everything and always clean up afterward. Fred's Plumbing & Heating is based in Eagle but services the entore valley. Truly a great team- I highly recommend them.
