There were unlimited refills on the banchan. Service was excellent. There was a button to get the attention of staff. They were quick to respond to our requests for banchan refills. They would stop by frequently to clear finished plates. The food, itself, was quite good. The meat was fresh and some were nicely seasoned. The steamed egg dish was fluffy and went well with rice. We picked the soybean paste soup with tofu, beef brisket and veggies. I enjoyed the saltiness of the soup with rice as well. The dumplings were super crispy and were deep fried perfection. Ambiance was lively as the restaurant was busy. Restaurant was clean including the restrooms. There was plenty of free parking on the plaza. My only complaint is the price of the dumplings. I am too used to Lower Mainland prices that there was a sticker shock at $18.95. Maybe this is the normal in Edmonton?

Service was good; use the call button to ask for things. It was cold inside with the AC blasting. Menu consists of appetizers, BBQ meat, soups, rice dishes, shareables, noodles, hot pots and stir fry's. They have BBQ combos for two to four people. - Banchan - two types of kimchi, pickled daikon, seaweed salad and sliced onions. All tasty. - 2x Rice ($3.00 each) - would have been good with one additional bowl. - BBQ combo set ($94.00) - good enough to share between four. Best of the meats was easily the LA galbi. The rib finger wasn't the freshest. Corn cheese was a good appetizer; more cheese than corn. Sukuh soondubu jigae was tasty but not much seafood or sliced beef. - Bibim-naengmyun ($17.00) - refreshing but standard fare. Solid KBBQ eats at Jung. Would come back again.

We went with the S1 Spicy beef soup and ojing eo bokkeum. There are other soup choices available, like Spicy Seafood soup, spicy tofu soup, spicy veggies soup, and more. The combo also includes two servings of steamed rice. You can choose one more dish along with the soups. We opted for ojing eo bokkeum, but you can also choose from options like soya garlic chicken bits, spicy chicken bits, and more. A9 is a must-try! It's rice cakes and sausages with a Korean Sweet and Spicy Sauce. $13 for 2 Service a bit slow, seems very busy restaurant but only 4 waitress. Line up and line up. Oh, environment was fine

Service was great, the atmosphere was modern and spacious, and the food was top notch. Most things are made in house (but not the Gyozas which are still good). It has a very pleasant atmosphere with attentive service and a terrific food combination. This establishment really understands its clientele while still staying true to their culture and themselves. The menu has western classics (burger, fries, sandwiches, etc), a kids menu, all day breakfasts (including an eggs benedict) and a Korean selection, simply amazing. We ordered Bibimbap and a Bulgogi burger. The Bibimbap was good but some sesame oil or additional spices would be of benefit. The veggies were of great quality and the rice was perfectly cooked. The Bulgogi burger was excellent with fresh beef and hand made fries (we ordered even more fries as they were not oily but crispy and delicious). The prices maybe abit high but the quality of the food is very good and we respect that choice. We will be returning to this true gem on the prairies.

The food is well-cooked with good ingredients and very flavorful. If you want more spice, not a problem - they can make it as spicy as you want, or even not spicy at all. They provide free side dishes, and you can have as many as you want. All the waitresses are very friendly and always smiling. Having a happy and welcoming environment is essential for customers, and they definitely deliver on that. As a customer, I definitely don't like some of the restaurants waiters and waitress always have a poker face to you and it seems like you owe their money and you made their day not good. The restaurant is nice and clean, although the only downside might be the washroom - perhaps I shouldn't go into details there!

It is a fast food joint, so don't expect much for atmosphere or comfortablity. And the chick behind the counter wasn't really helpful or friendly. She reminded me of someone that is disgruntled in life and needs to be doing something else. That being said, food was great. Nice selection of street food. We grabbed a selection of things - ramen, bulgogi bibimbab, sausage mozza corn dog, sweet butter fries, tuna mayo kimbab, and garlic soy chicken bites as well as two bubble teas. Food came out extemely fast. It was hot and tasted fresh. My family enjoyed their ramen. I really liked the bulgogi bibimbab. Good portion size, and a good ratio of meat to veggies. Beef was well seasoned. my kid had the spicy pork cutlet ramen and I sampled the broth. It was really spicy and delicous. Chicken bites were good but not outstandish. Birthday kid wolfed down the fries and corn dog. If you like these things, you really need to come here. The Kimbab was fresh but I was hoping for a bit more flavours in it. The bubble tea was fine but a bit sweet for my liking. However, if you need a quick bite to eat and are in the area, choose this over any fast food establishment. About the same in price point, and way better flavours and freshness. This would also make a good take out for a picnic.

I knew their popular…read moredishes were deep-fried oysters and katsu (deep-fried pork), so I tried both, plus a hot stone dish. The fried oysters are $15 for 7 pieces, which I think is quite pricey, and the oysters were too small. If you want to try them, go for it, but I didn't think they were worth it. The Rosu & Hire Katsu, a mix of pork sirloin and tenderloin cutlet, is $20. That's not bad; they were well-cooked, juicy, and crispy. I didn't try the cheese katsu, which I really wanted to, but maybe next time I'll order the mixed set for $26. The beef and egg hot stone dish is $18. It's pretty standard for a hot stone dish, but the stone was definitely hot and had a very Korean feel. I liked this one the most. It's not a busy restaurant, but I understand that deep-frying takes time, so the wait is understandable. The service was good, though there was only one waitress. She was very nice and had a good smile on her face. Overall, it's a quiet restaurant and not too busy atmosphere, so it's worth a try.

Trailing for that Gamjatang craving all fall and winter long baby! Only one area around the city to aimlessly drive around to choose which to satisfy all the cravings. This little strip of 34Ave is packed with hidden treasures of small mom-pop Korean eateries, you won't have to wander far before you stumble onto a storefront that catches your eye. Opened a couple months back, Miga had a surge of popularity with attention spurring over their hot plates that made up of cheese and rice cakes. Not a fan of either, my interest to try out Miga wasn't peaked until I saw their full menu floating around online, extensive list! Soft Clear Noodles with Beef and Vegetables - Japchae - ($18) - Lacked flavoring, I'm use to the subtle sesame oil taste in most of the Japchaes' that I order which this lacked. So for me this one was pretty bland. Noodles were nice and soft, impressed with how long the noodles were too. Pork Neck Bone Soup - Gamja-Tang - ($15) - Pretty solid bowl! Had three very generous sized bones with ridiculously tendered meat. Didn't need any spoon action, meat flaked off with just a scrape from the chopsticks. Which guarantees that the soup had plenty of flavor. Had a sharp kick of spice which balanced really well with the savory meat bites. But like the first dish, was missing some of flavor, perilla seeds and pepper topped on top usually adds that additional subtle kick that blends well with the spice, which wasn't provided in this. Also worth noting that with how flavorful the soup was, the potatoes were really bland. Korean Style Barbecue Short Ribs - Galbi - ($28) - Gorgeous coloring with a strong savory marinade that resulted in an amazing caramelized crust on the edges of each rib. Worth getting your hands dirty, and no judgement if you start gnawing on that bone- Which you definitely should. BANCHANS! We had five, cubed radish kimchi - seasoned bean sprouts - fish cake - pickled cabbage - potato salad - THE POTATO SALAD WAS BOMBS GUYS. They mixed bits of potatoes with macaroni and raisins and omg... I should have asked for more. Overall really satisfied with dinner at Miga! The shop is cozy and clean with plenty of seating. Service was extremely friendly and relaxed. Portions are also huge, and prices were fair. I'd come back and recommend! It's also right beside Pocha Seoul .. talk about competition?!

Got the strawberry Soju. I loved it, friend did not. Tried the Baekjeong Combo for 2. Steamed egg was sooooo cool. Tasted pretty bland but presentation was 12/10. Stone/container keeps it hot for quite a while too! Tried the only soup that did not say spicy. 10/10 was good. Rice was good. Salad was good - I liked the dressing. Pickled ?daikon was 10/10 so great for cutting through all the meat flavor. Bean sprouts were just okay. Friend liked the sauerkraut but I did not. Broccoli was very nice to grill. Marinated raw Onion was good (better slightly warmed on the grill). Marinated pork was my favorite. Pork belly was good. The super thinly sliced was one was my least favorite. Hard to cook and shrivels up too much. The super thick cuts I also did not like as I found it too chewy but honestly that could just be my cooking skills. Grill was swapped out 3 times during our 1.5hr experience. Ate 100% of everything But only 50% of the egg, and 10% of the bean sprouts (2 very hungry people). Overall what a fun experience. But I like Gyu-Kaku more (Better price for same experience and I like the marinated cheap meats better than the expensive cuts).
