As a woman, I've definitely felt taken advantage of by other mechanics in the past, so finding someone I can truly trust means a lot to me. I recently had a strange issue with my car where the check engine light kept staying on. Cathy's team did multiple checks, over multiple days, and eventually solved the problem for me, at an incredibly reasonable price. What I appreciate most is that I never feel like I'm being scammed or pushed into unnecessary repairs. I genuinely trust Cathy and her team with my car, and that is not something I take lightly. You could of already had me with the supermodel behind the counter, but they had to top it of with being : 1) Knowledgeable 2) They followed my OCD instructions. 3) They reassured my paranoia by writing notes to the mechanics on the wheels themselves. 4) They arranged with TintMax next door to pick up the wheels and load them in my truck without me being there. I was 80% sure that most technicians would install at least one wheel on a staggered setup to rotation backwards. But they installed them perfectly. No scuffs or scrapes to the wheel after install. Before entering the shop, I was driving past the neighborhood surrounded by warehouses so I thought to myself "this is crazy shady." But when I drove into the shop, it was squeaky clean and very well organized. You see all the prices listed on the wall (no catch). My tires were extremely worn out so I had to change all 4. I drove in on a Thursday around 1PM and the job was done in 30 minutes even when the shop was packed! There was a waiting room for customers and it was filled with candy, snacks, and drinks (so thoughtful). I can't say enough about this business. I know the bare minimum about cars, but the team members took their time to explain to me what I needed to get done. The information provided by Sheng--who is attentive, detail-oriented, and hospitable--was critical to making my final decision. After a week, I took my car back to the shop to get an alignment done and also change the tire sensors. They were fast, friendly, honest, and provided quality service. I have been referring all my friends and family to this shop ever since. They are extremely professional, offering the best prices compared to any other shops. I'm floored by the customer service. I spoke with the worker Peter, and was very friendly and helpful with explaining what the issue was on my father's 2015 Dodge Caravan. He explained what needed to be done to resolve the issue. It got taken care of. Also, I have taken my own car (Toyota Corolla 2015) to get a wheel alignment and a new set of tires. Peter then again help me and explained in great detail the warranty of the tires. There are Great Mechanics at this Pep Boys location. I would definitely return to this location.

Yesterday I was on hold with them for this long and then got transferred to the Pep Boys Headquarters where no one answered the phone despite it being normal operating hours. Then I called the general customer service number and after selecting the correct menu number, received a "wrong number" sound. I haven't heard that sound since the 90s. This makes me think that maybe pep boys uses rotary phones and so they don't have the digital message or continuous ring that lets their workers know that someone is still holding. That's being generous. I'm pretty sure they're just not picking up the phone. Anyway what I need information on I can't find online. I need to speak to someone at the store. I don't think they are interested in getting business though. If you are considering using them and getting a warranty, your warranty may be useless if you can't actually inquire about it. If you have a flat tire and need assistance, you might have to wait on the side of the road a few days so I would put blankets in your car and pack a fresh pair of underwear and make sure you have your phone charger.
