I used to come here all the time then I took a break from getting my nails done but this has always…read morebeen my go to place today made me so sad and disappointed. Iv never been so uncomfortable getting my nails done. I had an appointment with the nail tech that did my nails a couple weeks ago. After I checked in and sat down I was basically told she wasn't available but that was alright with me I was happy to see someone else. Unfortunately the nail tech I was paired with made me extremely uncomfortable the moment she walked over to the owner with my phone showing the design I wanted. I could see the owner (I'm assuming is still Selena) encouraging her nodding and speaking. I told the nail tech I was now paired with that I wanted a French tip with a gold line down the middle instead of the picture showing a slight different variation (also wanting to reassure her that I didn't need anything complicated because I don't like feeling like someone doesn't want to do my nails) Long story short I could tell this nail tech was not confident in herself and although there is a language barrier I could 100% feel the energy and tone when she spoke to others around her. It was so constant and was obvious because she'd ask me a question about the nails, I would respond, then she'd start talking to them and they would laugh as she'd keep talking. I don't know if it was because the owner disregarded her concerns at the beginning and she was complaining to the others the whole time but whatever it was I should not had to have gone through that. I ended up just telling her to not even continue because I just wanted to leave. The last nail tech looked at my inspo pic, grabbed the polish that matched, and my experience was so so good but this time I left with an ugly set of nails and 65 dollars less. *Selena did ask if I wanted her to do them which was kind but they were busy, the other nail tech was standing up at the front the whole time and I was on the verge of tears. I will most likely go back but will make sure I am firm when getting paired if my nail techs not available. I honestly don't even remember if it was Tina but whoever did the first set couple weeks back did such a good job hopefully I'll be able to update my review again for another positive one.

Every spot I had gone to/tried to go to said no to doing the gel removal or simply would not respond to my calls/messages. It had become such an inconvenience and I was ready to give up hope until a friend recommended Clayton Nail Spa (spoiler alert -- they did the dang job). I did a walk-in around 2 PM on a Sunday and I received service within 5 minutes. They have a full staff that is really on their A-game all the time (I was there for almost 2 hours and paid attention to their workflow). They seem to have a handful of regulars and are really polite to clients (I witnessed a girly unload her entire life story onto a worker, unprompted, and the staff respectfully let her talk at them the entire time). The lady who worked on my nails was very sweet and chatted with me the entire time, explaining what she was doing and why. She really went above and beyond with removing the gel nails as carefully as possible, offering to do additional services and not pushing when I said no, and meticulously grooming my cuticles and buffing my skin. The pricing was fair and she was very transparent about the cost of each service before getting started. I'm not a big nail salon person because I'm quite frugal about these matters, but I would absolutely come back here for any nail service needs in the future.

I got a full acrylic set with nail art and my total was $90. My nails are in no pain at all and they feel strong. The design was one of my own and though it was complicated they did their best to keep it as close as possible.

I think they are looking to hire others. But for now, Ley is the only person I would trust. I was really really please, actually more than please. I was looking for a beauty bar that can work for ethic woman in general, but Ley can just do about anyone's hair and make-up. If you know how to do a black woman's hair - you can do it all. Ley also spent her training/time in LA- so there are a lot of influences there. Ley was really professional and also just down to earth/friendly. In addition, I received so many compliments for my hair/makeup that it was worth the 2 hours in the chair. This place is almost a secret to Vegaz (which truthfully I could not get an appointment to - so decided to stumble about this gem here). But- I am glad I did. So my experience was on-time, friendly, and professional. So - totally worth it. The services in general are really well priced, but shampooing, etc. are extra. They are a full service bar and can do it all. If you are from cities like NY, Boston, LA, etc, this place is very underpriced and cheaper than Vegaz. For my hair/eye make-up/extensions- I spent around $96 (which includes the discount). But they also have loyalty cards. And I will be back and try new services. I also know they have make-up classes on Sundays. If I can fit it in, I completely need to give this a try and bring the girlfriends along.

I'm really disappointed with my experience with Jason. I had been intentionally growing my hair out…read morefor a flow hairstyle and had built up quite a bit of length and volume, particularly in the back. I specifically told him that I liked the volume and length and wanted to keep it in some areas- mainly just refinements and adding more layers. Unfortunately, he essentially did the opposite and significantly tapered the back essentially undoing months of growing out. What's most frustrating is that this wasn't simply a misunderstanding about the style I wanted--I specifically pointed out the part of my hair I liked and wanted preserved, and that was the area where the most hair was removed. I had spent months growing it to that point, and now it will take several more months just to get back to where I was before the appointment. I understand that not every haircut turns out exactly as expected, but listening to the client--especially when they clearly identify what they do and do not want cut--is fundamental. I left feeling like my instructions weren't heard, and unfortunately this isn't something that can simply be corrected with another haircut. In my case, what a stylist charges and their "level" aren't indicators of their ability to listen or their skill. In the future, I'll ask what the stylist is planning to do before they proceed.

This place exceeded my expectations!…read more After still on the hunt for a reputable and well-priced nail salon, I came cross Wild Nails. Since they're appointment only, I made one for 11/29 and was able to get the first slot of the day. Kathy warmly greeted me and did my pedicure first. I saw the pricing for the services and asked what the difference was between the regular and deluxe pedicure and she said it came with a wax treatment and something else. For a $5.00 difference, I decided to get it. She went through the normal steps of removing the polish and so forth. I really appreciated her checking throughout the service to ensure my needs were met both with the shape and length of the nail, as well as how it looked. At first I didn't see the value of the deluxe until she put my feet in the wax bags and had it soak for a few mins. Once removed, my feet were so Incredibly soft! I figured ok, so the pedicure was great, let's see how well she does nails and that's where she really shined. When she started my nails, I noticed she was working a bit faster than she did on my feet. At that point, I assumed she had another appt (which she did), I just wasn't sure when. I was amazed that even while working a bit faster, she still cared about the accuracy and look of my nails. I'm used to being rushed and the nails not looking to my liking, but she was the opposite. Not only did she nail the design, but everything else was perfect. Best of all, she told me the prices up front so I knew everything she was charging for and there were no surprises afterwards. Kathy was polite, thorough, and did great work. Considering I paid less here for a fill, pedicure, and tip than I did at the other place with just a full set and tip, it's a no brainer who's getting my business in the future. I can't wait to come back!
