I do like all of the very colorful lamps in here. Mutabbel (baba ghanouj made with yogurt), Hummus, Gavurdag salad, 3 in 1 mix, Tavuk Shish Kebap, 2 Mercimek lentil soup, gozleme with cheese. $106.89 They are out of spinach and cheese one. They are also out of the ezme, it's a hot sauce. The food all comes out quickly. The lentil soup is very watery, not chunky, tomato based broth, wasn't sure there was any lentil in it, it's just okay. Definitely a different taste than I expected. The bread that comes with the lentil soup reminds me of focaccia bread. The bread does get hard quickly. It's good with the hummus and the Mutabbel while it's soft. The salad is completely topped with crushed walnuts, a lot of nuts. It's a sweet salad since, as it has pomegranate seeds throughout, rather sweet and unique. My hubby liked it a lot, it was a tad too sweet for me. The hummus is good, they drizzle the chili oil over it. Mutabbel is really good, still has the Smokey flavor I expect, the yogurt adds good flavor to it. The Turkish orange tasted like an odd Fanta. The chicken kafta is moist, not over grilled, some gristly pieces in mine. It's not too bad. The 3 in 1 mix was decent. The bulgur is flavorful, tomato based flavoring, reminds me of the Spanish rice some. The Gozleme was essentially a quesadilla, cheese was crumbly and a different texture. It was underwhelming for me. I told a staffer the women's bathroom needs some attention. Toilets are a mess, TP everywhere, it was hard to decide which bathroom stall looked less disgusting. A party of 40 people were arriving as we were wrapping up our meal.

Very cute and aesthetic sit down restaurant, I love all the lamps in here and the mural on the wall. There is also a nice variety of snacks to eat plus a microphone with some live artists/ singing. I came here for a too good to go order so I did not sit inside but I enjoyed some of the bread and the Dubai chocolate they sold. Definitely a cool spot to come to if you want to try Turkish food!

I have been waiting and waiting for good Turkish food to come to the area! As one of my favorite cuisines I was so excited to come here. Upon entering the space is warm and has lots of seatings, and the servers are all extremely nice. I tried the pide which was huge and the adena kabob which was so yummy and tender. The hummus and appetizers were extremely fresh. Can't wait to be back!

My first time at an authentic Turkish restaurant. When i visited they had a live musician playing traditional music, and the place was pretty busy but we were seated right away. the server was happy to recommend what we should try as first-timers and it did not disappoint! the dishes are mostly meat-based but as a vegetarian i was still able to find plenty of things that met my needs such as a delicious pomegranate salad, eggplant dish, hummus, and burek with cheese. Everything was fresh and tasted great. make sure you leave some room for dessert, you can't skip it at this place!

Excellent Turkish restaurant with a real cool interior vibe (there is also live music) and amazing chicken kabob wraps plus kunefe. Service was also very prompt, attentive and accommodating. Extremely authentic decorations and the chai tea was incredible, one of the most delicious chai teas I've had! Most highly recommended!

So incredibly blown away with the hospitality of this establishment! Not only was the food spectacular but the service was out of this world. The kabob melts in your mouth and is full of flavor! The chef came out and put on a presentation for us. The owner Jaihoon is an amazing and kind man! We're so thankful to have stopped in today, please pay them a visit! You won't regret it!

Went for Iftaar so they were very busy. We went about 30 minutes before iftaar and ordered right away but the food took sometime to come out even after Iftaar. The food was very fresh, and good but flavours didn't blow me away. The place is nicely decorated and the servers are very polite. The quantity of food for the price was a little less, specially comparing to nearby Arab restaurants and their platters. Not sure if I would go back. Halal!

WOW!!! What an amazing meal. We stumbled on a review on Instagram and thought we would give it a try. We ordered an assortment of shareable dishes. The service was friendly and very helpful. We were celebrating a birthday and a Tres Leche cake, pistachio baklava and tea were complimentary. We look forward to returning!!!

The best food ever and the service was really good thank you you guys I recommend everybody try this restaurant I give more than five 5

Such a cozy and welcoming Turkish restaurant! The food was full of rich, familiar flavors that reminded me of home,so similar to Albanian and Mediterranean dishes. Everything we had was delicious, but if you go, you HAVE to try the tahini with molasses. It's simple, sweet, and absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommend!

A great time had by all at Galata today.

During my recent trip to Michigan, I discovered that the Detroit Metro area has the largest…read moreconcentration of Arabic speakers with 4.7% of population aged 5 to adult primarily speaking Arabic at home (https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/05/18/5-facts-about-arabic-speakers-in-the-us/#:~:text=The%20Detroit%20metro%20area%20also,1.0%25%20of%20the%20total%20population.). As such, there was a plethora of excellent restaurants to select from offering Middle Eastern cuisine, one of the best of which was Asya. As is my penchant, when visiting a new city I pop open my trusty Yelp app for places to try and Asya was one of the first recommendations; it doesn't hurt that some of the locals also said they serve up tasty food. Located in a strip mall off the intersection of a busy road, the parking lot is tight, so if there are no spots directly in front of the restaurants, there is more availability off to the side. I stopped by a few times while I was in town, and Asya does a brisk take-out business, especially during the predictable lunch and dinner hours. I dined in both times, so I could enjoy my meal hot and "fresh from the kitchen." The interior is fairly nondescript with tile flooring, black tables/chair combos, and a neutral color palate. But because the dining room is "cozy," it can definitely get loud with just a few tables of hungry diners. The service and hospitality are superior, as to be expected from a family run establishment. I was always greeted with a warm smile and even after just a few visits, the staff seemed to recognize me. I really like the fact that for most of their entrees, you can order either a lunch or dinner portion. The shish kafta was an AMAZING deal at $12.99 at lunch. In addition to the main dish, it is served with either a salad or soup. I opted for the lentil soup, and it was tasty. Soft lentils were stewed in a creamy base and served with a bowl of individually wrapped pita slices. Honestly, I was already getting a bit full after just the soup course. Then the generous portion of the shish kafta arrived and I could only finish 1/2 of the plate, before taking the remaining portion home for dinner. The skewered meat patties were nicely seasoned with grated yellow onion, garlic, parsley, finely chopped mint, salt/black pepper, Sumac, cinnamon, as well as other spices. They were grilled just enough to have a nice char on the exterior, yet still remain moist. Instead of French Fries, I opted to have the yellow rice which was perfect for making mini-sandwiches with the leftover pita slices from my soup. To finish the meal, I had a few pieces of the house made baklava, which was flaky and not too sweet; perfect with my afternoon coffee. On another occasion, I also got the chicken shawarma, which again, was a bargain at $6.50 (before tax) and super filling with a side of fries. There are also many good Middle Eastern restaurants in the DC area, but not the variety of "mom and pop" places like Asya and definitely not at their price point and value.

Good food fresh. Great customer service, stopped in for lunch . Will visit again soon!!!read more
