This is the second phone that I brought to Gadget fix for repairs. My son dropped his Google pixel XL and broke the screen and the back lens cover. My iphone was really cracked in the front to the point where it was typing on its on, it was horrible. I ran out of apple care+, so i came to this place because I saw the good reviews on yelp... and it for sure lived up to its expectations. Paid under $100 for it (which is much more cheap compared to what APPLE was trying to charge me) and I received it looking like it was brand new. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough!! I am not one to normally write a review, but this time deserves it. My phone was run over by a car(that's another story) and front screen was shattered. I searched Yelp, called 5 minutes before closing and Edwin said he would wait for me so he could repair even though I wouldn't be there for another 10 minutes. Repair took 15 minutes and my phone worked perfect, plus repair fee was very reasonable. The moment I walked in his shop I knew he would do a great job given how the store was so clean & organized including his work area which I noticed when peeking around the corner. Don't throw away your iPhone just because Apple Store says "there's nothing we can do." In fact, don't even waste your time going to an Apple Store, it's 100% worth it to see Edwin first. If your phone is damaged, he has a solution for just about anything you can throw at him. Twice now, he's managed to salvage my iPhone X. Once replaced a screen even though the screws were stripped. Second time he got it running after a tiny bit of water damage made it so it wouldn't start up. He's priced right, it's done quickly, and you'll save an arm and leg compared to a new phone. I dropped my phone and although my screen was okay my top camera lens sustained a crack that was impacting picture quality. I found this place due to the good reviews on Yelp but when I went there to get my iPad repaired they acted like they didn't want to do the work and then told me it would be approximately the cost of a new iPad. They said I should just forget about fixing it and buy a new one. So deflating! Then, my son told me about one up by CVS called iGeeks. He said they were really good. I didn't have any expectations, they were almost closing when I got there. But they repaired my iPad for free and it only took 30 minutes! read more

Do not bring your business here. Incredibly rude and wasted my time. Owner tried to hack my iCloud account. Acknowledging this "review" as seen below. I brought my phone in to be checked out and let them know that the phone screen had broken so I therefore could not "use the phone." I let the gentleman know that I had removed the phone from my iCloud account but we both agreed upon the possibility that it might still be in my name. There was indeed a password on the phone which I provided. The shop man told me it would be hours to check out the phone to see if it was a phone that actually worked, and agreed upon a price for the phone. This is when I left the phone with him, leaving with it acknowledged that I might have to come in to the shop again to truly unlock everything. He even agreed to meet me in Goleta where we both live and he bailed on me then, leaving me in the dark having just given my phone away essentially I had no idea if I was even going to get my phone back. Nasty exchanges of conversation was handed over to me through the letgo app after not giving out my iCloud password so he could go in and wipe the phone (without me being even being paid yet.) we were supposed to meet so I could wipe the phone and finally be paid but he bailed and never got back to me. I finally just had to drive all the way back downtown to pick up the phone to be greeted with a dishonored business agreement. I even wanted to have my Mac fixed by the gentleman since he was willing to buy my old phone but after this exchange I wouldn't trust these guy with access to any of my electronics. read more

I thought I had killed my Andoid cell phone. The counter guy at a local big box didn't have any new phones in stock that I might have wanted so he couldn't sell me one, but he suggested that my phone might be repairable at a fraction of the price of a new one. Having passed GadgetFix when driving on De la Vina I knew where it was but nothing else about it, but I thought I'd give it a try. Edwin took one look at the phone, told me he could fix it by the next day if he could get the needed part. It was late in the afternoon but he was able to order the part from his supplier while I waited. Less than 24 hours later he called to tell me the phone was fixed. GadgetFix was fast and efficient in fixing my iPhone 6. Over the past year, my iPhone's battery life quickly declined, often dropping from 100% charge to 0% in a matter of mere minutes.
