I started coming to this dentist due to an urgent dental emergency. In the beginning I was seen same day for the appointment/ x rays. Which is not why I am writing this review because the first appointment was quick and straight forward. My concern is the 2 appointments that followed. My first appointment was at 5pm, checked in on time, sat in the waiting room for over 20 minutes. I was brought back and the assistant begin the initial steps to my procedure and finished within 10 minutes. I waited in the chair for another 45 minutes and had to check in with reception if I should come back or what was going on. About 15 minutes after, the dentist came in and finished my procedure in 30 minutes. I walked out of there around 7:15pm. My follow up appointment was at 5pm and I checked in on time. Again, I was taken in at 15 minutes, an x ray was done and I sat in the chair for 50 minutes before someone came to let me know the assistant is busy. Just plain horrible, huge lack of patient care. I dont think ill ever meet Dr. Gad, their receptionist has no time management, comepletely disorganized. My daughter has been waiting for her referral for a month now and still nothing. I called and this lady was quick to say shes busy with other customers and that ill get a call back. Ready to hang up without even asking for a number to call back. This is the second time, no call back, no referral, still have dental issue. I hope you get to read this and finally do your job. Dr. GAD is the BEST!!! He puts a lot of love into his work, you can literally feel it. I felt like my Father or Husband was doing my dental work. I couldn't even feel the numbing shot or work he was doing each time, he asks if I'm okay regularly. Another great and unheard of thing to mention is that he doesn't gouge you for money like all of the other dentists I've experienced in the past! I've been here a few times now (that's a first) and I feel like I am at home over there... I even wore my house clothes there the last time hahaha. That's how comfortable I felt there. Most of the staff was curteous and respectful however, I have never had casts have to be redone before because they didn't fit properly. Also I am used to the Dentist informing me about what is being done so I can know what to expect before procedures start and then as they continue. There was little communication and a lot of waiting and redoing. My sister is an experienced hygenist and I have not encountered this before. read more

I have been coming here for years an the staff is supaaah friendly, Janet is always a pleasure to talk with I always look forward to my 3 month reminder call not to mention she is very understanding if you are sick especially with Covid arise. Apparently every child should see an orthodontist by the age of 7. It was never told that. Now the result of Gad's office negligence is that my child has many orthodontic problems. The doctor asked me why we did not come earlier. We could have avoid some issues had we come earlier. Oh well, because I'm not a professional dentist. After 6 years of completely putting off the dentist I returned to Dr Gad my childhood dentist due to unbearable tooth pain come to find I had 3 cavities. I had complete anxiety, ended up having 4 wisdom Teeth removed at there refereed separate location, but has my teeth cleaned and cavities treated The staff was awesome very nice made me feel relaxed overall Great experience I have now referred my father in law. DR GAD IS RUDE AND HOMOPHOBIC. he threw me out of his office for expressing my frustration when they suggested I had the corona virus because my temperature read at way over 100 and needed to be tested. Never ONCE was I shown the thermometer. I had been tested prior (two weeks ago) because I went to the hospital with food poisoning. Even after telling him, he rudely tells me to go get tested again. I come home and take my own temperature and it reads at 98...after calling them and telling them my temperature was only 98, they still refused to see meit seems clear to me he just didn't want to see me. Office was great at accommodating me and my husband with our shedules.We have a busy life, so after about 3 times rescheduling, I got the feeling that my husband and I were put at a bottom of a list. But coming down to the treatment plan- they gave us our share of cost. Which was totally high!! Outrageous prices. Come to find out, most the things that were going to be performed were optional. Janet, the receptionist, finally told me this after I called her out on it and also had to call insurance myself to make sure we weren't getting over charged . It wasn't until I told Janet that if be writing a review, that's when I heard the apology... shady shady shady. Also they will take soronority patients over you and your time. I'm an attempt to leave a professional review, I have left two stars because the receptionist is very kind and professional, and Dr. Magdy Gad is sweet and answers all of the questions; however, I was extremely disappointed when I went in for my cleaning today with Dr. Alina Gad. I have a history of shadowing dentists for quite some time and have had pleasant experiences, but this cleaning was the quickest and most painful cleaning I have ever had. She was very harsh in my gums and the polishing took around 1 minute. If I'm being generous, it maybe took two minutes max. Polishing was not done thoroughly around each tooth, but Dr. Alina Gad simply brushed it over in the entire fronts and backs of my teeth. The flossing was also not done as gently as it should have been done. As the dentist, I would expect her to go around the tooth and not shove the floss straight down into my gums. I was simply in awe at how quick and harsh that cleaning was done. If you do make an appointment, I would highly suggest seeing Dr. Magdy Gad. read more

I've been a patient of Gad Dental since I was a child and I could not have more positive things to say about the doctors and staff. Like many people I deal with dental anxiety but as soon as I get into the office I'm quickly greeted with a smile and the staff always makes me feel relaxed. I've had to have several procedures over the years from simple fillings to a root canal but Dr. Gad and team took great care of me each time. Gad Dental is an awful business. Save yourself from supporting unprofessional, scheming businesses like this one. Had my first appointment this month on Friday, 09/03/21 -- came in for a regular check-up and possible cleaning of teeth. Most of my expenses were covered with my insurance (x-ray and Dentist consultation). Per the doctor, I needed a 2-step cleaning process for my teeth because I have gingivitis and it would be less harsh splitting the treatment 2 weeks apart. Opted to get the first cleaning, which consisted of me paying $115 out-of-pocket, with the condition that I would need to come back on Friday, 09/17/21 for a second treatment once my gums healed (this would have been a separate out-of-pocket expense). Needless to state, I had booked my second appointment right after my first visit. Went through hell just to get this second day off from work in order to make this commitment. Mind you, yesterday (Thursday) was such a busy day at work on top of receiving the most terrible news that my cousin had passed away due to COVID. The day was such a blur especially when using my phone due to numerous notifications and phone calls that were headed my way. Apparently one of the clerks (Leticia) from the office calls me at 3:30pm to remind me of the appointment and to call back, but the message didn't mention anything about confirming attendance. I didn't get to Leticia's voicemail and text until 6pm (text was sent at 4:30pm, a half hour before they closed). The point here is that I texted Leticia with my confirmation. The day of the appointment (this morning!), I show up at 7:55a and met with Janet, the front desk clerk. Janet (who is very rude and nonchalant) then mentions that I don't have an appointment because she had already filled my spot. She even had the audacity to show me her phone and tell me that she didn't receive a text from me, and because of that, I was taken off their schedule. I immediately showed her my phone which confirmed that I did text Leticia back at the same number I was originally messaged from: (562) 665-6318. Janet didn't even have the courtesy to apologize for the last-minute scheduling inconvenience -- she didn't even offer to reschedule my appointment, much less check to see if the client who "filled my spot" was still on their way considering I was the only customer in the office at 8am. In fact, I've heard Janet call/remind clients in the past whenever they're late for their appointment just to make sure they're on their way; well, she didn't even bother to do this for me. It was such a bummer finding out that I was taken off their schedule without proper notification, even though I had sent a message to confirm my attendance via text yesterday -- at the very least Leticia or Janet could have called/texted to notify me that I was cancelled. A one last call reminder before closing yesterday would have been appreciated. But I don't think customer service means anything to this dental office, nor valued loyalty to existing customers. It is now 11:30am and I still haven't received a phone call or message to try and fit me into their busy schedule. I'm very sad with Janet's performance and rude demeanor -- I wish customers would reconsider doing business with Gad Dental Group and see their true colors as they're just hungry for sales with little consideration for their patient's time/hard-earned money. read more

To be fair, I didn't meet Dr Gad. The unprofessional and disorganized treatment from the the front office was enough. I waited in the car as stated on the sign and called from there. There was no answer after several attempts. I then witness an older lady running in without a mask. I tried again and Janet answered. She was rude and exasperated right away. Stated she needed to check people in before she can speak to me, then hung up. I assumed she had put me on hold and had accidentally hung up. I called again, she informed me she had hung up intentionally. 25 minutes later she called me back. I cancelled my appointment, I will select a new dentist. FYI- This is the kind of office that makes you come back over and over again so they can bill more. I am tired of rude dental offices that think we need them more than they need our business. I often treaded coming to the dentist but since finding this office, I don't feel that way any more. I would like to give kudos to technician Iryna for her caring and patient demeanor. I sometimes feel as if a panic attack is coming(I have this tread of choking on water due to lying position in the chair), but Iryna is able to calm me down by raising the chair and allowing me to rinse should the need arise. I would also like to praise Dr. Gad and the rest of the office for their professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend this office if your in need of a dentist. I have never written a review for any business, but after today I just have to write about my experience with the Office Manager. About a month ago I called to make an appointment for a regular cleaning and check up. I was given a date and when I came in the Office Manager told me I could not be seen because that date was to early for my insurance plan. When I called in I gave the female on the phone the date my plan would accommodate. But was told I could come in earlier. I was now being sent home. The Office Manager gave me a second date which was May 21, 2018. I planned my day around this second date, I arrived a little early, signed in, finally the Office Manager said my name and told me she had called last week and I was not going to see Dr. Alina today. By the way, I have my cell phone with me and never did I get a message about not coming in, however I did get a reminder to come in twice. Never did she smile, greet me, just you aren't going to see Dr. Alina. I waited for her to suggest another date, she never did. Finally I walked out. With all the severe problems I've had over the years I can honestly say I owe my life to them. Janet at the front desk is as sweet as they come and will go out of her way to assist you however she can. I've had many dentists and Dr. Gad is simply the best! Dr. Gad did what I thought was impossible and gave me a beautiful smile and the ability to eat the foods I love again. He isn't just a great dentist though he genuinely cares about his patients. I went in to see Dr. Gad to get a chip in one of my front teeth fixed. I thought this was going to be a quick and easy fix. However, I didn't even see Dr. Gad until I had sat in the waiting room for an hour and then in the chair for 25 minutes. The "fix" only took 15 minutes, but the job was horrible. My "fixed" tooth did not look anything like my other front tooth- not only was the shape poor but it wasn't even the same length. I asked Dr. Gad if he could at least fix the length of the tooth, to which he responded "that is the best I can do, you can just not pay and leave." I was appalled that he not only could not complete a simple dental procedure, but also that he did not even attempt to refer me to someone who could do a better job. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Dr. Gad for any dental services in the future. read more

After I sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes, the hygienist refused to clean my teeth because I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy. When I asked what the risk was (because I was curious, not because I was challenging her), the hygienist consulted the doctor. He arrived a couple of minutes later to give me this explanation: that cleaning my teeth might dislodge harmful bacteria that could get to the baby by going down my throat. Um, what?? Baffled, I walked out and called a family member who is a dentist in another state. She said explanation was completely bogus. Was referred to dr gad by two people in the dental industry . Just some quick background, I had 2 poor experiences with dentists that tried to upsell me procedures and also gave me false diagnosis . So I called my friends who are endodontists and they referred me to dr gad . He is completely upfront and does a thorough exam without trying to upsell anything . He only recommends what is necessary. My previous dentist told me I had 2 cavities that needed work while dr gad said I had perfect teeth . I am so livid with the quality of your services. I understand we are in a pandemic but that is no excuse if the level of ineptitude I experienced. I have had several appointments canceled since the beginning of this year and was told repeatedly that I would be contacted when appointments opened again for cleanings. A basic cleaning. Nothing fancy. Finally after months of not hearing anything, we called and scheduled appointments for all three of us in the household. within a few weeks of each other. Husband goes to his appointment and is quoted way higher than what our insurance claims to cover. Second, I go for my scheduled appointment and am told that my appointment is not scheduled until DECEMBER 28th. This is so inaccurate! My husband and daughter both have appointments within a few weeks, all dates were written down at the same time on the same piece of paper. How is it that my appointment is scheduled SO FAR OUT when the rest of my household are scheduled together? The attitude I was given from the receptionist regarding this issue was uncalled for and inappropriate. No way will I ever feel comfortable in your dental office. read more
