After assessing the difficulty of the tow (a vehicle without keys, parked on a residential street in-between two other parked cars) they quoted a totally fair and reasonable price. Since, without keys, the vehicle couldn't be moved out of its parking spot in a traditional way, they actually found a neighbor to move their car so the tow truck could get behind our vehicle. This is an incredibly thorough and smart level of service. Once the vehicle was dropped off at its destination, Mr. Hook Towing sent photos to show exactly where it was parked. Dargnt towing seemed like a reliable and solid company in the beginning. The owner came to tow one…read moreof our cars that was having air suspension issues. He was dispatched through Agero by our insurance company. I specifically noted on the Agero tow request, that the car would require a flat bed that could handle a vehicle low to the ground. This type of car can not be towed just from the front. The owner arrived with a pickup truck that had only the front tow bar. I voiced my concerns and he was fully aware of the type of car. He told me it would be fine with rear dollies. As he pulled out of our driveway, I heard a crack and saw a large piece of the lower plastic underbody panel protection fall off. I drove straight to our mechanic behind him, who also saw him pull in and watched him unload. Due to the vehicle being too low, the tow driver had to use wood blocks to prop the front up and even rocks get it off the tow bar. Brian, our driver, who happens to also own Dargnt, told me to send an estimate and it would be taken care of. He seemed like a stand up and forthright person. Since the day I sent the estimate he has disappeared for months. His chosen method of securing the car broke not only the front underbody panel, but also the mid underbody panel, both mud flaps and the side protection panels. We are now filing a complaint against Dargnt with both our insurance and Agero, as well as sending all pictures taken by both my mechanic and myself while the car was hooked up to his truck. If you are using this tow company through a third party beware! We had planned to use Dargnt after our first interaction to transport our other seasonal cars. We will never use this company again.
