To start this off, they don't even DESERVE one star. Me and my mother had gone in to get an outfit for my senior portraits, when we walked back to the fitting rooms we saw they were blocked off with racks of clothing, we assumed they were trying to keep people out for cleanliness. We continued to press the service button which was on and glowing. A lady comes over and immediately is extremely rude to my mom, before we could even get a word in the worker said:" just to let you know, when these are blocked off we don't want anyone in there.". She also added that they were "to understaffed to man the fitting room" to which my mother politely replied with "I don't understand how you guys expect to sell clothing, when people can't try it on." The worker then says in again a VERY rude tone " we have a 30 day return policy. You can buy and then bring it back." To which neither of us replied and I followed her back into the fitting rooms. And as I was trying on clothes the worker sat there and complained about her job to my mother who did not say anything to begin a conversation. All in all service is terrible, I understand the pay is not good but have some decorum. DO NOT SHOP HERE if you wanna buy clothes. read more

I went to Gabes and bought some clothes. s 9 April. I tried to get a refund on 2 jeans and some sneakers and was accused of stealing because my receipt got wet. The clothes were tagged correctly. One of the cashiers accused me of stealing and had to get the guy outside to vouch for me. I don't know what kind of company you run but I got customer service involved and I was told no refund without a receipt. I don't have one. Very bad business read more

Love this store cause I can never leave without purchasing something but had a pretty bad experience this one time. They were obviously busy from being Saturday but I experienced pretty bad customer service. I use to work retail but I've never seen such bad customer service. The ladies in the fitting rooms were grabbing clothes from your hands pretty rudely, they talked to customer rudely and also they couldn't remember which fitting rooms were occupied so they kept opening the doors when people were trying on clothes which is both a fitting room for men and women and a lot of people were waiting to get a fitting room so quiet embarrassing. I don't know if they were new or not. Also as I was checking out I accidentally pulled my card out to soon and it went through in my bank and not on the computers. As I was just trying to understand the "managers" not sure if they were managers or not but they were also very rude. After me just trying to be sure the money would go back into my account they briefly explained and told me they can't do anything and there's nothing anyone can do so I can either repay and wait for the money to go back into my account or leave because I was holding up the line and I can't just stand there trying to understand. Which I wasn't really mad until that point. I understand that I was holding up the line but I was just confused and concerned because it wasn't just a small amount of money. Even though the money did get put back into my account they shouldn't of been so rude which really just frustrated me. Super unprofessional! The cashier did an amazing job and was super nice it was my fault and she didn't do anything wrong at all but the manager ladies just had such an attitude problem and was frustrating to say the least. read more

I think the key to a great GABE's Experience is to be aware of what Gabe's is. I have been to the store many times and have found amazing deals, but not every trip. I drive up from Lima, OH and wouldn't make the drive if I didn't feel it was worth it. The Plus Women's section carries a great selection. I have found Lane Bryant items for under $10. Nothing has been irregular, or flawed. I purchased a Michael Kors coat for my daughter for $30', and found a While House Black Market dress for $15. You need to be aware of brands, designers, etc. Google if you are not Sizing may be confusing also. Plus maybe JR Plus sizing or some sizing may be European. Again Google is your friend. Make the trip, enjoy the bargain hunting, and know if you don't find it this time, try try again.. Next time you may hit the Bargain Hunting LOTTO! Good Luck read more
