Jeffrey's is a great place to spend a rainy or cold day. Aisles and aisles of booths inside with all kinds of treasure. They also pay people to take whatever you're purchasing back to the counter so you don't have to walk the giant interior while holding it. The prices are reasonable in most booths. I stopped by this place out of pure curiosity, and was pleasantly surprised. There is so much to look at, and everything is laid out so nicely. I really enjoyed looking at pieces of our history and felt such a huge sense of nostalgia. The prices seemed pretty reasonable. I wish I had more time to look because there was so much to see. The place is HUGE and and packed with antiques, collectibles and reproductions. I could have spent hrs there but was on a tight schedule. Checkout leaves a lot to be desired as there was only one person handling a long line of customers. But I was happy with my purchase (a book). read more

The first time I came here, I was looking for something very specific (they didn't have it); it was around the holiday season and many booths were holiday-oriented. I left disappointed, especially for the size of the place. My mom commented "this place isn't what it used to be". The second time I really took my time browsing and had much better luck, leaving with several items (at excellent prices). I later regretted not buying more! Normally I can tell within a second's glance if a booth is worth my time or not, but here you really should examine each booth. I saw things here that are no longer easy to come across in your average antique mall. I definitely have my favorite dealers here, but there really are great pieces scattered throughout the mall. They keep junk to a minimum and many booths almost look like mini museums (if you prefer flea market junk, by all means, head over to Maumee). The place is well staffed and everyone was nice enough. One small anecdote: they do apparently have a very small cabinet booth with Nazi paraphernalia. I only know this because I overheard customers pointing it out. I would have never noticed this cabinet otherwise, but I still think those objects belong in museums rather than antique malls. read more

There is always some "new" old treasure to be found in this place. I never walk out empty handed. Last visit included a very reasonably priced cookbook from 1935 that I'm looking forward to working my way through. The staff is helpful and quick to respond if you activate a "service" light because you want one of the treasures locked in a glass case or one that is just too unwieldy to transport to the checkout area on your own. The staff is also happy to transport your smaller items forward to the checkout area to help keep your hands free to continue the search for that perfect items from days gone by. We too arrived 20 minutes until closing time. We knew where ' what we wanted. Had actually hoped being the week of Christmas they may have been open later like other stores. Unfortunately we witnessed they same rude behavior. I know help is hard to get. Areas were closed & locked. We were in line to checkout & out of the building with 5 minutes to spare. As a world traveler and avid antique collector, I've seen it all. I can say this is an all-day experience if you want to take in everything. Loads of Americana, numismatic items, pop culture, military, political, Victorian era clothing, early photography items, etc. There's a bit of everything in this HUGE antique mall. I was able to buy a box of 100 stereograph photos and a beautiful original viewer for less than $100. Quite a bargain. The staff were very attentive, accessible and knowledgeable. I've passed this several times off 75 and wanted to stop. I'm kicking myself I didn't stop sooner. It's AMAZING in there. Prices seemed to be really reasonable. I found 3 treasures in there. Throughout all of my visits here I've yet to have a bad experience. The lines may get a bit long however this is mainly because of the lack of people that want to work in general. If more people were able to work there would be more help upfront and the lines would move much faster. I understand standing in line for 15 minutes is annoying but please be respectful to the staff at the counter as they are trying their hardest. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful when there are enough of them working. Overall a great experience and an amazing place to find antiques. read more

Dealer Warning: My wife and I had an expensive $1200 ring stolen from the booth we rented at Jeffrey's. Jeffrey's had us put in a lost item report and for the next month I had to hound them about responding to me. When I finally came in, over a month later, to ask the owner what they were going to do he told me he's had thousands of people claim items are stolen and the contract says he's not responsible for anything lost or stolen. He also claims his cameras don't record past 30 days and he doesn't keep any archive footage. He offered $200 in rent credit and when I said that wasn't nearly enough he reminded me how people always trying to scam him and we've only been here a year and we're asking for what, all that back in free rent then? I told him then that either he was going to come up on free rent offer or I was going to shit all over him on Facebook. His wife then called police claimed we threatened her by saying that. I left the building once they gave us our prepaid rent check (we had always prepaid many month) and items, pulled into a speedway and called the police and filled my side of what happened. If you're thinking of becoming a dealer here make sure you carry insurance and know that this place provides no claims to security of your items. If you do have a loss the owner and his son will have to be chased down to investigate and they'll insinuate you're a thief when asking them to make up part or the stolen item in a rent credit. read more

When you're driving by Jeffrey's on Interstate 75, a giant sign seems to boast, "Ohio's Largest Antique Mall." As you pull into the parking lot, you notice the fine print adds "NORTHWESTERN OHIO'S." If you want furniture, the selection's a bit slim. This joint seems to have more knick-knacks than anything. The staff was very helpful in quickly stashing items for shoppers and providing claim buttons. I'm not an antique-store expert, but my shopping buddy was, and she said this place is sub-par. read more

We stopped here on our way home from Michigan. We both love antiquing and peddler's malls so it seemed like a good stop. It was ok. After a quick walk through and pit stop at the restroom we hit the road. Prices were much higher than the Lexington Peddler's Mall or other places we have been over the years. I'm going to give this a good as it gets from the standpoint that we drove from Michigan as a surprise trip for me based on the fact that they said they are pet friendly. We are training our lab to be a therapy dog and finding places that let you bring a labrador inside to socialize and train is difficult. They all loved Maggie and that alone gets them five stars. I personally love that they have a TON of tzchotchkies but would say that they also have a nice balance of some very nice antique pieces of furniture and at decent prices from what I've seen here in S.E. Michigan by comparison. Your inventory is based on your consignors and they have some great items presented with great care. It is clean. Orderly. The staff is helpful and knowledgable about what they have. They have carts to help you with large items and the staff provides claim numbers to help you with your stash as you shop. They seem to have an excellent system from what I observed. We'll be back even if it is a 2 1/2 hour drive! read more

This is certainly a huge building filled with all sorts of old and unusual items. Some items are antique while others could be just collectible. As long as they are 25 years old., they are allowed in the building. Lots of nice things, but watch out for some dealers offerings. Make sure they are authentic. Prices are high because of rent they are charged. Don't drink the water there as they are using well water and have to clean out the system with bleach periodically. Make sure you buy water.They have a nice vending machine area that you can purchase something. Ask for a discount and they will give you one if it is over a certain dollar amount. Have a nice visit, but if you have allergies, you may not want to stay long because of dust and mold in the air. read more

I found this place just over a year ago and now it is on my list of places to go every time I am in Ohio. I could literally spend hours in here. The staff is always super friendly and you can hear them coming by the jingle of all the keys. Every time I have been in the place seems really clean and the items for sale seem to rotate frequently. I would highly recommend anyone who likes antiques to seek this place out. read more

We stopped on our way home from Detroit. Not realizing that it was close to closing as we went in we said you close in 20 minutes right? Letting them know we were not here for a shopping adventure. I walked through quickly not stopping long thinking, I could come back later in the week if something caught my eye. As I walked out, I wanted to see the back isle having 5 minutes to close. I explained this to the worker but she followed me, threatened me, badgered me and called for backup. All the while I was working my way to the exit. I reached the exit still having 4 minutes. The other workers explained they needed to write everything down (I was not purchasing anything) and they had to be out by a certain time. Funny I wanted to look around, stretch my legs and not put anyone out. I will never grace their doors again. But not because she told me not to come back. But because I enjoy strolling through looking for projects and remembering days gone by. And this 20 minute experience was the most hostile I have ever had. read more

This store is interesting, but I had a bad customer service experience. I bought a phone with a tag on it that said it works. I asked if I could check it, but was refused. It does not work. They will not take it back or refund me. I would be careful when shopping there. read more

If I could give this business a minus score I would. I recently went specifically to Jefferies as a buying dealer with cash in my pocket. I always did very well buying inventory for my business at Jefferies. I spent approx 3 hours making a pile of items to purchase. I found an item that was not marked and asked if they would contact the dealer and get a price since I had driven 2 hours to get to Jeffereis. A dealer came up from behind me, interrupted me, grabbed the item from me when the floorwalker was trying to help and lectured me in a nasty tone that they had no idea where I got it who it belonged to etc etc. After she finally stopped her lecture I told her it came from booth 60. She then went back into her nasty tone and lecture about how did SHE know that was correct, that it could have been dealer # 60 not booth 60 and I finally asked her if she thought I was stupid and would not take note of where I got it. She then turned and walked away. Not one word about helping me. I later found out that she is a Jefferies employee. This woman NEVER asked me to show her where it came from. Then Jennifer, the young acting manager for the day, told me that SHE did not appreciate me attacking her associate and that SHE would not allow anyone at Jefferies to call on the item for me. ??? Never once did she ask me what happened. The floorwalkers apologized for both Jennifer and the other lady's actions toward me and asked that I DO NOT go through the management at Jefferies but to contact Brian at the Springfield location directly. Obviously this is an ongoing problem with the managers there. Well that didn't go anywhere. I left messages and have not heard from him at all. and it has been weeks. Tom at Norwalk Antiuqes told me that Brian was a good guy and would want to know about what happened but I guess not. I would not rent a booth at Jeffereis if there are people who work there that are more interested in their power then helping both the vendors and customers make a sale. The day of the incident I put everythng back and took my $$$ to Maumee Antique Mall and spent it there. I have returned to Maumee a few times since and on every occassion have been told that customers have been saying bad things about Jefferies all relating to the staff. I also did a recent show with a dealer from that area and she told me the same thing. Jefferies has a group of ladies that act as if they are in high school and not in any way professional. Since the nasty treatment and the owner, Brian, not seeming to care I will never go back to Jefferies. It's not worth being offended with such a rude front staff. Interestingly the item that was not priced did in fact belong to the dealer in booth 60 and that all they had to do when I was there was call that dealer and in 5 minutes that dealer could have had a sale but I guess that isn't what Jeffereis is about. My opinion Jefferies isn't worth the hassle you get with the immature and unprofessional staff at the register. And if I rented there I would take note that management isn' t particularly interested in making sales for you and in this economy that isn't a good thing. read more

Building says open everyday 10-6 stopped by twice and neither time they have been open. Frustrating.

My husband and I have been antique dealers since 1981. We have been to hundreds of antique malls all across the US. Jeffrey's is one of the best! It is an easy on and easy off I-75. There is plenty of parking! Bathrooms and drinking fountains are located in two places in the mall. At corners and aisle ends, you will find an occasional chair if you need to sit for a minute. The key staff is readily available! There are also lights you can switch on for help and intercom phones. Staff will take your items to the front so your hands are free to continue shopping! Jeffrey's has a good variety of items for both the general population and the advanced collector! Although there are not many booths of just furniture, there is a lot of furniture scattered throughout the mall. Unlike many malls, you will not find currently produced items or crafts. Items must be a minimum of 25 years old. Many of the dealers are quite active and service their booths weekly! Items are added every day! Plan to spend about two hours if you are going to shop the whole mall. Great Antique Mall! read more

I have shopped Jeffrey's many times. I have collected antiques for 40 yrs. Over that time my tastes have changed. I moved from liking anything old to a focus on cut glass, art glass, French faience, and Limoges. I always get tired before finishing seeing the entire mall, so there is always a reason for me to return. And...I have never left without finding something that I just had to have. It's one of my favorite malls. Sometimes you have to know what you are looking at before you realize its value. Its an education in one building, so look and learn. read more

Holy Hannah, this place is huge! It took hours to move through. Luckily there are bathrooms in each section, and there are team members abound holding huge janitor like key rings to unlock the cases of items that you really want, but can't afford. There are tons and tons of unique "booths" here, and if you have the day to look for trinkets, do it. The prices vary from the sublime to the ridiculous. I purchased some vintage 1960 ads, but instead of paying $5 each at a booth that had preserved them individually, I found a stack of Life and Ebony magazines that were untouched for $2 each. They are loaded with awesome ads. My favorite was a cowgirl wearing her maidenform which said, "I dreamed I was wanted in my maidenform". Priceless. They have team members who will grab everything you've gathered, give you a number, and will graciously take your purchases to the front so that you don't have to drag them around (and, have more room to gather up additional items). Genius. Apparently there is a sister mall about 3 hours south that is twice it's size. I'll need 2 days for that one. read more

My wife likes to stop at Jeffreys Antiques Sunday afternoon(s) when we are heading back to Michigan. In the past I have looked forward to watching the ongoing golf tournament (summer) in the waiting area (albeit on an 'antique' 19" tube-type TV with hazy picture) - while my wife spends money. Turned out the TV was not working on 8/3/2014; not what I anticipated - had to read a book. ** Suggestion to 'management': get a new-tech flat screen TV (larger - 32" or ?) for the benefit of 'waiting-room' customers (newer TVs are now very affordable, should no longer have to resort to using an 'antique'). And while I am at it, suggest adding a few upholstered chairs to supplement/ replace some of the existing non-padded wooden chairs (and table sets) - I'm sure it works well as a lunch area but the hard chairs leave a lot to be desired in the comfort category -- for long-sitting sufferers. One of the female employees reminded me (when I requested turning on the TV - unsuccessful) that the football season is nearly here, and weekend (college and pro) games are very popular with customers' spouses (apparently the TV has been out of commission for awhile). Like all antique stores the quality of the inventory is very much dependant on the dealers and who brings in what. Compared to other antique "malls" one tenth this size, Jeffreys is an amazing experience for me and my family and I am thankful that so much of Americana can be seen and preserved and purchased in this giant place.
