My wife and I drove 3 hours to shoot here because of three major attractions that we wanted to check out. First, an indoor 100 yard shooting range with high speed target placement. Second, the indoor Simunition Range. Third, the live fire virtual shooting simulator. As we were driving up we were initially struck with how big this place is. The thing is huge... it's like driving up to a bass pro shop. Not even exaggerating. The parking lot and exterior of the building is well maintained and inviting. I was even more shocked when I walked in. The selection was huge, even for the current surge in gun buying, and the environment was open and inviting. The retail side of the business is separated from the range side and that works to their benefit. The range side has ample seating and unlike most other indoor ranges, those not shooting in the stall don't feel completely disconnected from friends and family who are. There are large glass windows that bump the shooter right up against guests in the lobby. Their member services were epic. Separate lounges for members and as it was explained to me the pricing makes membership for people in the area a no brainer. So, the 100 yard range was limited to four stalls and the range is just a dream to shoot on. The target runs the length of the range in less than one minute. I was able to confirm my zero and fired nearly 100 rounds in the hour I was there and the part that slowed me down was only me... I was never waiting on the target to make it down range. I watched a group playing in the sim range and it looked super fun. I'll definitely be planning another trip out there for this feature. The pricing isn't unreasonable either. As far as the live fire virtual simulation, I didn't plan on spending as much time in the 100yrd as I did but I was having a blast and lost track of time. I'll definitely be going back to play in this range for sure. All in all, this "Guntry Club" is like an amusement park that you can shoot at.

I attended the Tuesday night pistol competition with my wife, who was participating in her first…read moreshooting competition. I have competed at a number of other local matches, and unfortunately this was by far the least welcoming and least organized shooting environment I've experienced. The biggest issue was our interaction with the person running the stage. My wife was a first-time competitor and was visibly nervous. Before she began, she was repeatedly questioned about exactly when and where she intended to reload. She explained that she planned to reload in the designated area, but that the exact timing would depend on whether she needed to make up shots. Rather than accepting that answer and allowing her to shoot, he continued pressing her about it. As her husband and someone who regularly competes, I stepped in and explained that she was a new shooter and that the questioning was making her more nervous and confused. Instead of de-escalating the situation, the interaction became increasingly confrontational. I was ultimately told, in substance, to "shut the fuck up" or leave. We chose to leave. My wife never got to shoot her first stage. What concerns me beyond the interaction itself is that this was presented as a safety issue, yet I did not observe a safety briefing or a clearly established shooting order when we arrived. Shooters appeared to be determining among themselves who was next to shoot. That was particularly surprising given how heavily the staff member emphasized safety during our interaction. I've competed at other local matches where experienced shooters and range officers make a point of helping new competitors feel comfortable while maintaining strict safety standards. That was not our experience here. I'm leaving this review because I hope management takes a serious look at both the customer interaction and the organization and safety procedures surrounding this event. My wife was excited to participate, and unfortunately her first opportunity to actually shoot a competition ended before she ever fired a shot.

They took time to go over the handguns, having us test and hold each one. Next, they went over gun safety, had us practice several times with each gun. Answered all questions, and never once made us feel like we were asking a dumb question. Next, they accompanied us into the shooting range and stayed with us for quite awhile while my husband and I shot. Helpful, informative and worked with us on all aspects of shooting. Never once, did we feel rushed during any of the direction or training. The best part is that they don't sell guns so you get honest and open information and opinions about what would be good for you without an agenda. For first time shooters, they made us feel comfortable. We won't be going anyplace else. The prices were reasonable for the gun rentals as was the ammunition. I highly recommend going here if you haven't been before.

He treated me as if I was a child. I did not appreciate him talking down to me as thigh I had no idea what I was doing, before I even got the gun out of the case. I really did not particularly care did him coming up and "helping" me with my aim after I had only fired twice. I've never been a stellar shot, but I have not shot in 6 months and was just getting a feel for this gun, as I told him. However, he seemed to ignore everything I was telling him, and proceed to talk down to me and try to give me advice. Other than that incident, the staff was very friendly and the guns were well kept.
