Don's was not the lowest quote, but they've been around a long time and have serviced some of the homes on our street as well as my relatives. The work was scheduled a couple days later. The day of the scheduled work the crew arrived and waited a good 40 minutes for the main tree cutter to arrive with the "lift" truck. Once they got started they worked very well. Four hours later I looked outside and the whole crew and equipment was gone, leaving my front yard looking like a hurricane had hit it. The back and side yards were clean of all debris. I made a couple calls to the office to let them l know our expectation was that the yard would be left clean by the end of the day. Two hours later two men returned to clean up the debris. Overall the company does good work. The office lady, Sandra, is a gem! Excellent customer service. The workers who came to our home were all professional and well mannered.. however I had to tell them what we paid for.. they had basic instructions, although a detail proposal was written. They lost two stars on our service because the person who visited us to set up work, arrived very late on both occasions and because a lot of effort was made on my part to contact the company to ensure everything was executed as promised. Cesar, the arborist that came to do the inspection and estimate for this work tried to do the pruning in a way that did no harm to any of the trees involved. One neighbor needed to have a 'weight reduction' on two trees as they were tall and swayed quite a bit in high winds. This service took about 15% off upper limbs, which also reduced the strain on the root system. There is a definite reduction of fear that these trees might come down in a bad storm. The other neighbor needed one 'dead' tree removed, and another live tree removed as it was leaning over a neighbor's property. The crew that did all of this work was there on time (actually early), Each worker was aware of the scope of work to be done. They were very efficient as each worker had an assigned task. The climbers used all of the safety equipment I could have imagined being necessary. Cleanup was very thorough, and left the properties in the same or better condition than when the job was started. Please note that Atlanta Arbor is covered with both liability as well as workers comp insurance coverage. I will certainly use them again as the need arises.
