Unfortunately, this place will no longer be getting my business or my family's business. My wife purchased a $14 battery-operated candle from the Mercantile in Wrightwood. When she got it home and put batteries in it, it didn't work. We called the store, explained the situation, and also explained that we live out of town and wouldn't be able to return within their normal 7-day exchange period. We were specifically told by the manager/employee we spoke with that an exception would be made because we lived out of town and that we could exchange it the next time we were in Wrightwood. They even took down our information. We returned today expecting them to honor what we had been told, only to be told they wouldn't do anything for us. It's not about the $14. It's about standing behind your product and honoring your word. We did exactly what we were supposed to do--we called, explained the situation, and were assured that an exception had been made. To come back and be told something completely different is extremely disappointing. What makes this even more frustrating is that my family has made a point of supporting this small business year after year. My wife, mom, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, and sister-in-law all shop here, especially during the holidays. With everything the Wrightwood community has faced over the years--from fires and evacuations to flooding and severe weather--we've always felt it was important to spend our money locally and support the small businesses that help make this community what it is. That's why this experience is so disappointing. We weren't asking for a refund or special treatment. We simply wanted to exchange a defective $14 product based on an exception that an employee had already promised us. For a business we've intentionally supported year after year, I would have expected better customer service and for them to honor their word. Unfortunately, after this experience, they've lost our business. We will spend our money elsewhere. read more

A cute store with a variety of gift-like items. I have boughten some really cute coffee mugs here before with peacocks and a funny phrase on them. Additionally, I like their home section with cute seasonal figurine decorations. This store is sure to make you smile and if you are looking for a gift for others or yourself, this is a great spot. read more

This is the BEST boutique!! They have amazing clothing and decorations. The clothing is good quality, and actually lasts. The ladies that work in this store are awesome. They are super helpful and do such a great job every season. I tend to buy most my clothes from this store, and also gifts for the ladies in my family. It's always a big hit. They tend to offer women's clothing, candles, lotion, a small section for men for their beards, kids toys, and super cute seasonal decorations. Don't skip on this store. Definitely check it out when you are in Wrightwod!!! read more

What a wonderful hidden gem this shop is! I was actually stopping in to see if they had any desserts at the cafe but ended up browsing this adorable spot instead haha!! When I walked up, the awesome Halloween display at the entrance practically pulled me into the store immediately. Whoever is decorating this shop is killing it! Such a cozy place - packed full of quality home decor items and clothes and all sorts of other stuff. I could've easily spent a fortune in here. And it's all laid out in such a cozy way. Right now they have a ton of Halloween and autumn themed items and I'm already thinking I need to come back and browse some more lol. I ended up walking away with some cute, much needed kitchen towels, some wax for one of my warmers that smelled amazing, and a painting. I was blown away when I found the painting bc it looks JUST LIKE one of my rescue cats so I had to have it. The items here are great quality from local artists and suppliers around the country. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. They have plenty of parking in their private lot. The surrounding town is a great day trip from LA, especially if you're hiking. The cafe next door is delish. I highly recommend visiting Wrightwood and be sure to stop for a browse here! read more

Really love this store, but the employee was not nice, never welcomed us or asked if we needed anything. Just gave us dirty looks. No one else was in store. Wanted to buy something too, but did not because of this person's attitude. Sad.... read more

I love this store! Full of so many great gift items, I would shop here on every visit to the cute town of Wrightwood if I could! The displays are wonderful here. The first thing we noticed was the most adorable Americana display. They had beautiful home decor and apparel, all adorned in the beautiful red, white, and blue. If you have a friend or family member that decorates with a country theme, there are plenty of those fun items here as well. They have plenty of clocks, wall art, pillows, dishes, and candles. I really like this store. There's so many fun things here, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We walked out with so much great stuff. This is one of my favorite stores in the town of Wrightwood! read more

I love this store. I don't know anyone who doesn't. Every time I go to Wrightwood I have to see what's new. Love every bit of it.

The A lot of unique stuff for gifts. They change it for every holiday. So their merchandise is always fresh.

The prices were kind of pricey for the quality and the customer service was not the best.

Amazing gift shop! I got quite a bit of my Christmas shopping done! A must stop! Unique gifts and great prices! I will have to travel here several times each year to see what they do for each season. The holiday selection is amazing! read more

Love this place so much! I've been coming here for a couple of years after first discovering them. I absolutely love coming in during the winter time when they have all their Christmas decor and items out. They do a wonderful job at making their place feel homely. I come in every time the season changes because they change their stores merchandise to follow the seasons which is so very convenient! They've done an outstanding job with COVID at wearing masks at all times and letting me know their policies, wonderful people work here and I love all of them, they always have such wonderful personalities and are very helpful when you have a question! :) read more

This is one of my newest "happy places" in Wrightwood. I loved everything about it. Check out this wonderful gem of a store in one of the best little towns around! Make sure you have some time to wander and dream of all the places you will put the new things you purchase. Friendly owners and a store designed with thought and love. I am very excited to have a new favorite shopping spot in the town. I will be back for sure! read more

I love this store!! I attended at retreat at Verdugo Pines Bible Camp. On the way in we stopped to get a bite to eat at the Grizzly Cafe and wandered over to Mercantile to browse around. I couldn't believe the wonderful selection inside of clothing, gifts and home decor. I'm already planning how to come back around Christmas time! read more

I love this store, it s my most favorite store in downtown Wrightwood. You will see & will love it. Definitely I want go there again.

I bought three pairs of Lazy One flapjack pjs, one for me and a set for each of my kids. Mine turned out to be a little too short, so I went back to get a bigger size and they didn't have any so I asked to return them and they would only offer store credit. They have no signs up saying All Sales Final, nor did the clerk tell me before I made my purchase that all sales are final. AFTER you've already paid for your things you get a stamped receipt saying all sales final. That is very dishonest in my opinion and I'm quite unhappy that I'm now stuck with a $44 pair of pajamas that are too short for me. I will not shop here again. read more
