I'm six years into my solar system, which is supposed to have a 25 year warranty. G3 Solar doesn't respond to text or phone calls. They have left me with a leaking roof, poorly producing panels and 35 broken tiles. I will be forced to go out of pocket to resolve issues they created by installing poor equipment and damages caused by install. This company provides zero value after paid. I don't care what state they are operating in, the owner is the problem. Employees provide a very bad experience and totally lack the knowledge needed to complete simple tasks. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Installed two systems: after install, no solar production. Installer crossed wires: connected wires from panels together and then attached wires to converter together thereby eliminating production. None of the things promised in the contract were delivered with the exception of a $3500 fee to cancel contract. in addition the company cited as G3's insurer stated that the no longer worked with G3. The only thing they ever delivered was a pallet of solar equipment at 8:30 at night blocking our garage door. G3 Solar installed my solar panels in 2019 at a cost of over $30,000 and since that time the system has been out of commission for approximately 1 year. Since July of this year the system has not been working and although G3 was apprised of this on numerous occasions they have not been able to facilitate a technician to remedy the situation. It is difficult to comprehend why they have not been able to identify a competent service provider when I consistently receive unsolicited advertisements for companies that provide that service in this area. It is my belief, based on this experience, that G3 knowingly installed the system with little, if any intent, to provide technical support. read more

I have called every day for weeks and get only a voicemail. No one calls me back! I am really unhappy with this company. The company rep. told me they had offices in Lexington but it's only for sales. Noone is in this area to respond to problems and the main office is in Utah! Therefore nothing gets fixed. read more

We are now in January and 4 panels aren't working still. We have told them to come get thier crap and cancel this contract, we'll that isnt happening. The bank is asking for 5,000 payment. It's been 19 months and still not completed! Read every 1-star rating on G3 Solar and expect that you will experience the same horrible treatment, service, and incompetence that these reviewers have experienced. I believe the salesman pushed the hard sale immediately on the spot because if I had looked into this company first I certainly would not have done business with them. Blatant lies, broken promises, missed deadlines, no communication, no call no shows, and gaslighting are what this company does. Paying a solar loan and a full electric bill for a year and a half so far and counting. The lender pretends to care and help but nothing comes from it. They just "string you along" and take your money. I made a huge financial mistake not vetting this company before signing an agreement. Horrible company. I have been dealing with this company for over a year now and the project is still not done. The loan was funded prior to completion and since then I can not get anyone to follow through on their promises. Oscar Reyes, project coordinator, will set a date for repairs to get done and that date will come and go with no one even showing up. They dont even call me. I have called and emailed numerous times and I get nothing in return. Do your research and find a good solid local company. This was my biggest mistake. The Cancellation Form provided has the wrong zip code, is missing the suite number, doesn't have any account numbers printed on it, etc. There were other issues in addition. read more

They made promises and basically exaggerated lies to get money from hard working people. The sales personnel and all the government that is involve in getting people to go solar are evil. Do not go with G3 Solar! The salesperson promised things - $500 Visa card after install - that made us want to go with them, but it's been 4 months since our panels have been installed and nothing. We've tried numerous times to contact someone at G3, but they don't respond. Speaking of the install, it was frustrating because I was always having to reach out to them to get a status update. When they finally got us the design, we requested changes and they said they would make them but they didn't. it wasn't discovered until after approvals were done, so this was a big delay to get fixed and reapproved. read more

Awful experience. June of 2022 I committed to solar and all finances in order. February 2023 they are finally producing power. 8 months to get everything complete. This organization was the prime contractor, subbing work out to a local organization Reno Solar. From the get go this organization has not maintained sensible and accurate engineering for our solar project, which had led to multiple delays and inaccuracies within the contract itself (and leading to questions regarding the validity of our project). Finally, after 12 painful months of dealing with this organization and their atrocious level of project manager turnover (6 project managers for our project in the course of 12 months), our solar system was turned on. Since then, after being provided empty promises of compensation for not only the loan payments we'd been paying for (despite having a non-operable system), to then being told we would be compensated for time between our authorization to operate and when G3 could actually pull it together and turn the system on (again, delays due to engineering errors on their side of the project), G3 has not come forward to make good on any of those promised items. Now, they have not provided all of the appropriate project close out work and routinely dismiss my and my husband's communication with them. For any consumers considering working with them, avoid this organization at all costs. The only appropriate retribution would be to see them go out of business. read more

I'm paying $50 more a month in total for my electricity because of their over priced solar panels. Apparently they use third party sales to sell their product so they have no control on how much they get sold. So if someone represententing this company is trying to sell their product, make sure all the numbers add up. read more

If I could give this company a MINUS STAR I would. We sign our contract months ago and it has been one excuss after an other. I paid this company $73000 and gave them many months to install before the hot weather hit. That was the whole point in buying PV. Our house is large and cooling it is expensive during July thru September. They were slow, they came by many times with incorrect parts, they made excuses, and ultimately they cost me an additional $2000 in electric bills because they couldn't finish the job on time, and we all know how hot it was this summer. After all of the broken promises and failures, they offered to compensate me a measly $300. When a company takes $73000 to do a job, and it's not worth it to them to compensate the customer for their failures, it speaks volumes to their lack of interest in customer satisfaction. On top of that, they inspected the roof and said it was fine. Then the installer showed up and said it definitely wasn't. They can't even agree within their own ranks.
