If I could give a 10 star rating to Doctor Garcia and her staff I wouldn't hesitate! After finding 3 VERY loose lower teeth during my use of the Smile Direct Club aligners, I enrolled myself in health insurance and immediately sought help. I had been to 3 different dentists (all of which were HORRIBLE experiences) and been given 3 different prognoses before I finally found myself in Dr. Garcia's care. From the moment I called the office to make an appointment the receptionist was extremely helpful. I explained to her that Orthodontic treatments aren't covered by my insurance so I wasn't sure what the cost of a consultation would be. She told me that she would get more information and let me know before coming in for my appointment. After hearing my story she worked very hard to get me in as soon as possible, and we scheduled my appointment for the following week. A few days later I received a text reminder for my appointment which included the cost of my consultation and I found myself blown away with the customer service even before stepping into the office! The time came for my appointment and upon entering the office (a few minutes late because I went to the wrong location-oops!) I was greeted with smiles and called back almost immediately to have x-rays taken. The dental hygeinist was extremely attentive while listening to my concerns and it was just a few short minutes before Dr. Garcia walked. Within seconds of meeting her I knew I was in good hands! She listened and showed genuine concern as I told her what had happened. She took the time to explain to me why Orthodontists strongly disagree with what Smile Direct Club stands for as a company, and how they are more concerned about making a quick buck than ensuring their patients get the best care possible. She was the first person to take the time to explain to me what was going on and what needed to happen to fix it. I am blessed to have been sent to her office! There aren't enough words to express my gratitude for the generosity shown to me by Dr. Garcia. She truly cares about her patients and I will never waste my time seeing anyone else but her and neither should you! read more

Please do not go here. Will take your money and cancel your contract if you question them about the business. My wife was supposed to be in her braces 9 months and now it's has been almost 2 years. Fake time to wear your braces to lure you in for business. Then when you get frustrated they cancel your contract and tell you have someone else finish the job and you have to pay more out of pocket. They like to double dip. They want you to pay more then it's allowed under your benefits, especially when you benefits cover 100% cost and tell you near the end of your treatment so that they can tell you were not taking of your braces until you pay the additional fees. They do not care about service only getting you to sign a contract. They are currently trying to charge me $1275 for cancelling braces that I never had put on. They continuously promised a breakdown to try and legitimize that amount and still have yet to receive it. I paid over $12,000 for my son's braces, not counting the money I wasted on the extra maintenance they would tell me he needed. This is the worst dentist's office that I had to deal with. They want to charge a lot for poor services. The worst part is that now that my son has turned 18, they want him to pay for services I had already paid for. But I don't think so. I'm actually really disappointed. After I was told I could pay a small monthly fee because I didn't have insurance for my daughters braces because it was over $7500. They told me after a year that she doesn't need braces anymore and they overestimated her time and now I owe a whole $3500 in one payment. it was a surprise because nobody told me that I was going to have to do that in order for her to have her braces removed early or that they were going to stop accepting monthly payments. I'm a single mother and I pay everything on my own, and I thought this was unfortunate because I really trusted that was a good company. They put a retainer in her mouth and now they are charging $75 just for a visit because a week later her retainer broke. They are not trying to fix the retainer without paying another $$150and they told my daughter's grandmother that they only guarantee it for seven days. She ate a hot pocket and the retainer broke. How do you not guarantee because it's a few days later than seven days? Especially when it can't be my daughters fault if she's eating a hot pocket. I just feel like this company just is not about helping children but about the dollar and it's sad. They don't care about people they only care about their pockets. As if $7500 wasn't enough plus the $75 that we had to add her appointment just to look at her mouth and then to fix a bracket another $45. This company is a rip off and I would never recommend it. And it's so sad because I am a big networker and I would've sent them tons of business, because Customer Service does matter! I understand that businesses need to make money, however, if you they upfront in the beginning of what to expect then there wouldn't be an issue and I would've chose another place if the price was not something that I could afford. I have lost all respect for this place! After being a patient and taking thousands of dollars from me, their true colors come out. My son's "permanent retainer " that he has had since April just fell out. Of course I expect to pay a small fee but they want to bill an additional $372! I stated that it must have been put in wrong.....I never cursed or threatened anyone.....I paid my fee......fast forward and my son is getting worked on and he starts to bleed. Dr Garcia pulls us into another room to talk about it but instead says she wants us to go somewhere else. I said no problem but refund me my money first! She tells her tech to call the police. WORST ORTHODONTIST. I LOST INSURANCE COVERAGE AND PAID MONTHLY. MY INSURANCE ONLY PAID 100 MONTHLY AND TWO MONTHS THEY DIDNT PAY. I CALLED TO SPEAK WITH THE OFFICE MANGER TO COME UP WITH A NEW PAYMENT PLAN AND SHE WAS SUPPOSE TO CALL ME BACK. A WEEK LATER STILL NO CALL BACK. So I drove 1.5 hour for my appointment (when i started treatment i lived closer) I got their 1 hr early and was honest and told them i needed to speak with the office manager and my reasoning. While speaking with her she told me she would have to speak with accounting about a payment plan and would get back with me. But meanwhile I could do my appointment THAT day that i drove 1.5 hr for unless i paid them another 1000$ right then and their. Granted if the offoce manager would of done her job and called me back a week prior and gave me time to pay it i wouldn't of had a issue. Now that im trying to transfer orthodontist they are telling me in order for my new orthodontist to get a aoa form releasing me from treatment they are wanting to charge 200$. I asked where it stated that in the contract and they told me it's the state law. We will see what my lawyer says along with the texas medical board!! Update:: I have spoken with the state board of dental examiners and 200$ being a law is BS. The law is as followed No more than $25 for the first 20 pages and $0.15 per page for every copy thereafter. Fees for radiographs, which if copied by an radiograph duplicating service, may be equal to actual cost verified by Reasonable costs for radiographs duplicated by means other than by a radiograph duplicating service shall not exceed the following charges: i. a full mouth radiograph series: $15.00i ii. a panoramic radiograph: $15.00; iii. a lateral cephalometric radiograph: $15.00: iv. a single extra-oral radiograph: $5.00; v. a single intra-oral radiograph: $5.00. I dont mind paying the APPROPRIATE FEES but 200$ is not APPROPRIATE So meanwhile i will be sending a certified letter return receipt to g Orthodonist and will give them the 30 days to send my records if they refuse I will file a complaint and proceed further with my attorney. They have attempted to screw the wrong one over this time. Beware of this SHADY AND WORTHLESS COMPANY Only good thing about them are the girl who do the adjustments. We have been with G orthodontics for many years and have referred quite a few patients to them. Here is the reason why. Honestly, we have experienced both good and bad from the office with the amount of years we have been using them and I will explain. Not sure exact timing but it has been almost a decade. Dr Garcia herself has been nothing but friendly, professional and straight forward the entire time. She has worked with me through financial strain, job losses and insurance changes. She has a heart. The bad really only came from some bad apples she had working there for a while. This has been on and off, A few of them were rude and unaccommodating but in front of Dr. Garcia they were as pleasant as can be. I can not blame the Dr. for that when she may have not seen. But because of how far along we were in treatment I did not switch as my insurance would not have paid for another doctor and truthfully I liked Dr. Garcia it was the staff that was an issue. I feel that has since been corrected. Although I don't know her personally I get the sense that she really does care about the patients, but from my opinion she isn't running a daycare or a free clinic. She is running a business (saying that towards other reviews). I go back with my child every single time I attend her appointments and I have never once been asked to stay in the waiting room. My child's treatment is important to me and so is the way she is handled so I make it a priority at every appointment with my child (who is now 16) to go back and ask questions and voice any concerns. She is a mother and seems to understand that I as a parent have a right to monitor treatment and get answers, with no problem. I am extremely frustrated with my child's treatment progression, but as a reasonable person I understand that that was my child's fault and not their fault. She didn't brush and floss her teeth and got swollen gums and we had to slow down treatment, when we switched to Invisalign she constantly lost her trays and didn't wear them. When my daughter had some Issues and didn't wear her trays when we were two months from finishing treatment and I brought her in, Dr. Garcia almost cried (for me knowing how much money just went down the drain and I was going to have to start treatment all over because she had a total relapse) she was in shock and kept looking at me to make sure I was okay. In that moment I knew she really cared. She worked with me the best she could to get her back on track. Yes, I had to pay again and yes my daughter has to be in braces longer than expected but I don't blame the doctor. She has been awesome. Since some of the other reviews indicate similar issues, I can't help but to think those people are just being unreasonable. I don't know their situation, but this is been my true and honest review and experience. I DO highly recommend them. If you end up having a negative experience let Dr. Garcia know and she will handle it as she has for me. No business is perfect and to take to Yelp when you didn't give them a chance to resolve it is not cool. Horrible! Horrible! People don't waste your time and money with these people. Read the other reviews. They herd you in like cattle, no explanation, just sit there and open ur mouth because we have other people to worry about! They scared my daugther and she started crying and was really uncomfortable there. The doctor's solution was for me to leave her there and let her cry because she won't remember. "You need to let me do this because I don't care if she cries with me" is what she told me. The doctor is extremely unprofessional and rude when she tried to tell me what and how I need to prep my daughter. They refuse to refund all my $2,500 and they billed the insurance for services not rendered. I've seen other doctors do a way better job with children. I came here for my daughters braces and my Invisalign. My daughter had a huge gap in the front from the time she got teeth. (now 15) She's been in braces a couple of years and now going to get them off soon. Her teeth looks great. No gap at all. I've only been in my Invisalign for a few months for a tooth that was sticking out and a narrow bite. I can already tell my teeth have shifted and the tooth is straightening out. I'm sure each of these reviews have some reason behind them, but I have to say that I have had a really good experience up there. Everyone has been extremely nice. I guess my only complaint would be that it is hard to get a kiddo in after school because late appoints are hard to come by and the latest that you can get is a 4:30. Oh - and I have to add that I shopped around a lot for an ortho and their prices BY FAR are the best I could find. I'd recommend them. read more

I have 2 teenagers that I have sent through G Orthodontics. I have another child at home that will probably also be in need of braces but I will DEFINITELY NOT be sending him to G Ortho. First of all, the office is not very flexible when it comes to appointment scheduling. They do not see patients on Fridays and when I try to avoid certain times of the day because my high school children can't miss a certain class, it is like jumping through hoops! My main concern is that it is almost impossible to speak with Dr. Garcia. When my son had his braces removed and he came out of the office, I was extremely alarmed to see that his gums were VERY swollen, red, and irritated. When I questioned the young lady who walked him out, she replied with something to the effect of "it's because he needs a cleaning and needs to see a dentist.." I left the office feeling worried about my son and almost in tears. I called the office back requesting more information. I felt that as a patient of G Ortho, that someone should be able to provide me with more information about my son's condition. I just had some questions to ease my mind. I was worried. How serious is it? How worried should I be? Is there treatment I can do at home? How quickly should I get him into a dentist's office? When I called the young lady that answered explained that Dr. Garcia was with patients and would not be able to talk to me. She said that if I was worried, I would need to take him to see a dentist. Needless to say I came unglued. SO YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT AFTER I HAVE SPENT THIS MUCH MONEY ON TREATMENT, I CANNOT GET A PHONE CALL FROM DR. GARCIA?!?!?!? Are you kidding me? She quickly changed her tune and said that I could speak with Dr. Garcia but that she would have to return my call. Never received a call from Dr. Garcia or anyone else in that office for that matter. Fast forward 2 months. My son's bottom retainer broke. I called the office to find out what I needed to do. The lady that answered the phone (unhelpful as always) seized the opportunity to remind me I owed the office $50. I told her I would pay the $50 when Dr. Garcia returned my call. In a nutshell- G Ortho is not concerned with the well being of the patients they "serve" and believe me, I use the word serve very loosely. They are concerned with collecting money and herding the patients in and out like cattle. Be smart and do not take your child there! read more

Unfortunately my experience with this orthodontics office was far from pleasant. I scheduled a consultation for Invisalign , everything seemed fine so I went along with it. Returned a month later to get my trays and the assistant started putting some type of composite material on my teeth (attachments) I was not informed of this prior to. I was not happy AT ALL. I tried to reach out to this office serval times expressing my concerns and they ignored me and blew me off completely. I went back to receive my second set of trays only to find out dr. Garcia had dismissed me from her office due to a review I left on google ! I now am completely inconvenienced and have to go find another orthodontist. Dr. Yesenia Garcia REFUSES to give me my remaining Invisalign trays to complete treatment. I will be taking legal action soon. This whole ordeal has been a nightmare for me unfortunately. read more

My only complaint is her billing clerk. They set a payment plan up for you and then double charge you or skip payments. Once you're done paying off the amount they tell you is the balance, we get another call telling us there is more the pay or they overlooked the amount. My son has been a patient of Dr. Garcia's for the past two years. Within that two years, he has had to have oral surgery, teeth extracted and numerous costly other procedures on top of the unGodly cost of braces. Overall, I have spent around $10,000 in my sons mouth. During our last visit, we were informed that my son has now gone beyond the initial consultation time frame of two years and we now have to pay per visit. The cost being $150 per visit, for at least another year. When called into question as to why I now have to pay for something when it was they who told me the treatment length, I was told about missed appointments, rescheduled appointments, etc. All rescheduled appointments were always within the following week. Dr. Garcia's office is only open during the week. Latest hours are 4:30-5pm and their closed during school breaks. If I could remove my son's braces I would. **update** After leaving this review the office was none to happy about it, first telling me how upset Dr. Garcia was and saddened that I would do such a thing. After seeing that this ploy didn't work, they then told me they would give my son a free teeth whitening after the treatment had been completed. Assumingly, that I would remove the review. Fast forward to now, the fall, we again come for our appointment only to be told that I now owe an extra $700+ for a treatment my son received, and that they wanted to let me know face to face they would be dropping my son (who is still in his braces) and I as patients. So now my child is stuck wearing something he was told three years ago, he would only have to wear for two without a doctor to take them off, fix his teeth, or anything. Poor, poor, poor business practices! Never ONCE did Dr. Garcia actually speak to me. She had the office manager handle her dirty work. Do NOT go to this business! read more

In August 2016, my husband took our son to G Orthodontics Pearland office (located at 12004 Shadow Creek Parkway, suite 100, Pearland, TX 77584) for a free consultation on braces. Before the visit, I called the office and confirmed that it'll be a free evaluation without any charges on my part. During the visit, they performed exam and x-ray but never told us that they would charge for these. After the visit, we went to 2 other orthodontics offices for free consultation on braces. Both places did exam and x-rays as part of the consultation. After comparing all 3 offices on what they offer, quality of services, costs, etc., we chose another orthodontic office for our son's braces. I wasn't aware of all the charges that G Orthodontics filed to my insurance until I received an EOB in September. As I confirmed with G Orthodontics prior to the visit that the consultation was free and I should not be charged for anything. We were never informed that the exam and x-rays were not part of free consultation during the whole visit. I called the office immediately and questioned about the charges. The staff could not provide any valid explanation but nonsense. She was very rude and unprofessional. As a matter of fact, the other orthodontic offices did exam and x-ray, but never charged us anything. While in the office, my husband also noticed that they asked patients to give them good reviews in exchange for gift cards. Their behavior is dishonest, unprofessional and unethical. Please do not be tricked by their good ratings online. I would NEVER do business with this office. read more

I personally have not had a good experience. I was initially told I would wear the invisalign for 1 year in which i paid $6800 out of pocket. We are now 2 years later and my treatment has yet to be completed. It takes like 2 months to even get a follow up appointment and they are always unwilling to accommodate you. Then i receive a letter stating that my "2 year mark was up" and I now have to pay out of pocket. Well if the office would have provided closer follow up appointments then i would have never reached the 2 year mark! Not to mention that a lot of time was wasted because they did not get the "proper measurements" and had to go back to redo them (more time wasted). So now they want to charge me an extra $175 for every follow up visit in order to continue receiving treatment. If I could go back I would have never came here. And don't waste your time with invisalign,,just get regular braces..the time said will never be. Get regular braces and get them done quicker. I gave them 2 stars because their dental hygienist are actually awesome! read more
