On 12/16/24, I had teeth whitening done on the upper & lower arch. Even though I told them that my insurance pays for 50% of each arch, the lazy office staff did not verify my coverage, but instead has me pay in full and said they would issue a credit when the insurance paid their portion. Fast forward to March 2025, I go in for an appointment and bring them 2 letters that my insurance company has sent them asking for additional information on the whitening service that I had. PMD had never responded to the request for information!!! Now I am asked to pay for that days appointment when i should have had a credit on my account! Fast forward again to July 2025, I am scheduled for an appt on the 21st. This time I call the office prior to my appt and STILL no credit. My insurance paid them $227 which should now be a credit on my account. I am furious. I cancelled my appt and I will no longer do business with these people. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and TSBDE! Next, it will be small claims court. It is really stupid that I have to waste time on this! BEWARE! Make them verify services with the insurance. Do not pay in full waiting for them to give you a refund!!

I had my second round of braces and only needed treatment for my top teeth. Overall, my treatment…read morewent smoothly, and the doctor was very nice and accommodating. However, my experience took a turn when it was time for me to get my retainers. After they did a scan and called me to pick up my retainer, I noticed right away that it didn't fit properly. The retainer didn't have a tight seal and kept slipping out, especially when I talked. I brought this up at my follow-up visit, but the doctor assured me it was normal. This was strange to me because, having gone through braces before, I never had this issue with a retainer. Worried about losing the ill-fitting retainer, I decided to order a second one as a backup. They used the same scan for this, but when I received the second retainer, it fit much better and even accommodated my back molars--something the first one didn't do. This made me realize the original retainer had issues that weren't addressed. I made another appointment to discuss this with the doctor, and once again, he assured me everything was fine. I was advised to continue wearing the second retainer (which was supposed to be my spare) and use the original one only if I lost the second, at which point I should order a new one and pay an additional $400. This left me confused since the second retainer was intended as a backup, not the primary one. To add to the confusion, the doctor mentioned a "retainer for life" program and told me to discuss it with the office manager but not to mention that he had told me about it, as if it were some sort of secret. When I brought it up with the office manager, she informed me that the program hadn't even started yet. At that point, I felt completely gaslit--I couldn't understand how the doctor didn't know what was going on in his own practice. In the end, I've decided to get my retainers elsewhere. While my treatment itself went well and I'm happy with the results, the experience with the retainers left much to be desired.

One of the women also kept telling her to move over while assisting another patient even though she was not in anyone's way. The entire interaction felt disrespectful, dismissive, and targeted. Instead of making parents and children feel welcomed, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and hostile. She even spoke with the owner afterward because the treatment was so unacceptable. No parent should be treated that way while trying to get care for their child. Based on what I witnessed, the front desk staff seriously need customer service training or to be replaced altogether.
