Got my root canal done they put in my permanent crown in and it went well, but then they took me to the back to get my x-rays done and the dental assistant dropped the x-ray tool on the chair and then proceeded to try to put it in my mouth. I had to stop her and look at her and ask her if she really thinks thats appropriate to put that tool in my mouth that was freshly drilled into that dropped on the patients chair... absolutely disgusting I will never be back at this office. read more

I can finally do this review! I came in 2021, 3 months postpartum, looking for simply a cleaning. I was told my teeth were a mess, yada yada. I was surprised but also figured I'd take it into consideration for when I came back, but just get the cleaning now anyway. I'm not joking when I tell you the "cleaning" took 3 minutes TOPS. I was confused, felt super gaslit and went on my way. We ended up moving shortly after and I went to see another dentist, thinking for sure the same thing would happen, I'd be told my teeth were horrible. They weren't at all, and the cleaning was actually done correctly (I think it was about 15-20 minutes long?). I explained what happened the last time at this location and they were confused, said my teeth were perfect and I had nothing to worry about. I've always been careful with my teeth and invest a lot of time and equipment to keep them nice and healthy at home, so Pearland Dentists confused me. Turns out they're a cash grab. Oh and the hygienist I had (or tech? Not sure what she was) took 30 minutes to get x rays and needed a ton of help. read more

I do not recommend this Dental office, they have issues with their scheduling. We arrived for my husband's appointment at 3:30, only to be told his appointment was at 3:00 not 3:30. We have confirmation of his appointment time & showed it to the lady at the front desk. She was rude & kept repeating his appointment time was at 3. Two visits ago they did not have enough staff and so the wait was very long and the assistant did cleaning instead of hygienist and forgot the ordered fluorine. This time we waited an hour even though I called ahead of time. My 5 year old was so tired. It is not an ideal place for kids or adults. I went here yesterday to get my teeth cleaned because they were recommended by my insurance company. I received an initial exam which took approximately 45 minutes and then everything went downhill from there. Instead of just getting my teeth cleaned by them they told me they would have to do something special cleaning and it would cost an additional $78 for each side and each top and bottom. They then told me they would charge me $20 just to have me swish fluoride after cleaning. Then they wanted me to agree to a lot of other procedures with the final tally well over $6000; I was then told if I didn't agree to all that they wouldn't clean my teeth. They finally agreed to clean my teeth but the dentist told me they would not clean my teeth again if I came back unless I agreed to all the other stuff they wanted me to have done. I may need some of the work done but I will not be strong armed or threatened into getting something done. They said they can help with financing;; well thanks but I'm not interested when you threaten me with or else. read more

I really don't feel comfortable with how I felt like I was being sold something rather than actually being seen as a patient. They are way to focused on their sales pitch to me. I work in healthcare, and I just could not get comfortable with how I felt pushed to get certain things done that I've never been told I needed. I decided to leave my appointment and not move forward with any of their "suggestions" . I asked that my x-rays be emailed to me since my insurance company had already paid for those and they are technically my medical records. What I had emailed to me was a screen shot of all of my x rays on one page. Making it impossible for another dentist to be able to read them. They were very nice and greeted me when I arrived. It just seems like deceptive business practices and I will go elsewhere . read more

Unbelievably frustrated with this place. I started off with jaw pain and they told me I needed a night guard. I went to another dentist because they were a little cheaper than this place (approx $300 for the same night guard). They also referred me to a specialist that doesn't have availability (3 weeks out). I've called others in the Houston area with the soonest appointment time of 2 weeks. Today (8/12/19) I called because of severe jaw pain. The right side of my face is swollen, it feels locked in place, and I can't close my teeth on the right side. They gave me the run around on how they'll talk to the doctor. I called them back (4 hours later) and they said "oh we can refer you to a different specialist." I told (Janet) on the phone that I've called over 10 offices and they can't get me in right away. We can't give you anything for pain. We can't do anything for you at this point. I honestly feel like they are underestimating how I'm feeling and it makes me angry. read more

I've never walked out of an appointment before being seen but I did here. Made appointments for my daughter and I with 2 different dentists to save time. When wet got they're, we both were seeing the same dentist. They didn't call either of its back til 20 minutes past appointment time...then the 2nd 20 minutes after that. Finally get back to a run after an hour to dr the dentist. She thoroughly poked around my mouth and then recommended $400 worth of treatments not covered by insurance and $150 for my daughter. Waited another 30 minutes still without a cleaning. Talked to the office manager and she said it world be another 20-30 minutes. We ended up leaving workout or cleanings. Felt like they were just trying to yourself and once they weren't able to, they weren't inserted in treating us. read more

I was ready to give this place 5 stars as the dentist, hygienist, and assistant were all extremely nice and provided great education and information. However the front desk/billing lady was extremely rude and bordering harassing. When presented with a treatment I could not afford instead of being understanding she berated me and belittled me to let me know how awful it was to the point I felt bad about myself and then as I was leaving she again let me know what a mistake I was making so that I left the office and cried. You usually expect the dentist office to be a mediocre experience and unfortunately for this office it would have been great if not for this particular lady. I went into an appointment after seeing a dentist that was out of network for me. I explained the situation to the dentist Ms. Williams and she was able to take care of me. Scheduling my appointment was easy. They were able to schedule it within a reasonable time frame. I was ecstatic. I came into my appointment and was greeted by a wonderful staff and nice office( clean with new and innovative technology). I went to the back where I received an X-ray and was later met with the dental hygienist. Both staff members were extremely friendly and assuaged my nerves as I don't particularly care for the dentist. Dr. Williams came in and went over the procedures that I would need. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She explained the procedures to me along with options. Another staff member came in to go over my insurance cost with me, again she was very patient and didn't mind my questions. I informed Dr. Williams that I would like to get the procedures done today if possible because I was under time constraint. Fairly new to the Pearland area, I recently decided to change my dentist to be more convenient to my house. It was a hard decision, as Oak Forest Dental has a great team. When I walked into the office, I was greeted by two lovely women, Tamesha and Victoria. I immediately felt comfortable, as a smiling face is always a warm welcome. I checked in very quickly, and shortly after I fixed a cup of coffee, I was greeted by another friendly face, Tammy. She shook my hand and we headed towards the back. After X-rays and a very great cleaning I met Dr Elizondo. Both Tammy and Dr Elizondo addressed my concerns and I felt very comfortable with them. I highly recommend Pearland Dentists. A nice office, clean and the staff are friendly. The dental assistant was very nice to my son and explained each procedure before doing them. The 4 star rating is because they don't have any changing tables in the office, and I had to change my little ones diaper on the bathroom floor. Not so great, and surprising considering changing tables are pretty standard in this day and age. Hopefully they install them in both the men's and women's bathrooms soon. read more

This is the BEST dentist office I have ever been to. My fiancé and I both needed to go and they were able to get us both in the next day and seen pretty much at the same time. The customer service here is terrible. My wife and I had been patients here for the last 5 years or so. Every time I come it's like a sales pitch and constantly trying to push a mouthguard or some other premium service. They used to recommend I come every 3 months and then told me every 6 months, only on the next visit to be scolded for not coming every 3 months. I never see the same person more than once due to the high staff turnover. They constantly changed the time of my appointment without notifying me and even sent me a reminder the week before of my appointment with the wrong time. Today I showed up at 7am as my appointment said, only to tell me it's not until 8am. This place does not value their customers or their time. Each cleaning appointment takes up to 2 hours after they take unnecessary time trying to upsell you for services you don't need, or make you wait if they are running late. They overbook more customers than they can handle. Stay away from this place if you value a positive experience at your dentist office. read more

I can only deduce that they lied about the cavity number to let them get worse and then get more money when I returned with her for her six month. WATCH OUT FOR OVERCHARGING! WATCH OUT FOR OVERCHARGING. This dental clinic and the dentist are in-network with my dental insurance and they charged me almost $1,000 fora deep cleaning for gum disease -entire mouth. My insurance quoted I could be charged up to $447. When I questioned this they came up with well we filed a claim with your insurance company for a different price. AND, they did not inform my insurance the amount I paid to them directly. They are going to get paid three times. Twice by me and once from insurance company. CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS! NOW! Everyone whom I dealt with for my X-rays, hygienist, dentist were very good. Made me feel very comfortable. I don't go to dentist and was extremely nervous. That is all the positive that I can say. Read reviews since I'm new to area and decided to give this new place a shot. Very clean and nice reception coordinator. With that said, the wait time from time I entered until hygienist touched my teeth was an hour and a half. Totally unacceptable. Secondly, I have never had a dentist examine my teeth BEFORE the cleaning took place. How are they supposed to see if their hygienist did a thorough job? Which proves my point that they did not check under tongue for oral cancer screen like my other dentists have. Maybe things will improve as the practice establishes. read more
