The cake was fresh and moist but the filling is what gave it that chocolate / vanilla contrast, it makes you want to eat more. Its the same nostalgic cupcake we all ate as kids except this is not a mass produced product filled with junky chemicals. This is a chef'd up cupcake and commands the price. The front counter boasts freshly made baked goods. My fiancé had the breakfast skillet- it was pretty good but the eggs were slightly runny. Still had that clear film on it but no big deal. They serve you a large portion of pressed coffee accompanied by a random assortment of pastries/bread/bagel while you wait for your food. They also have a french toast bar- didn't try it but would like to. Anyways the man at the counter was wonderful and seems very passionate and proud in what they do- as he should be! We left with a cup of fresh squeezed orange juice, an everything bagel, a mini caramel cheesecake, and lemon meringue pie! Kudos to this local business. We will definitely be back!

I ordered this cake specifically to use for my daughter's birthday pictures, and unfortunately, I couldn't even use it for the photos because it looked so bad. That was incredibly disappointing, especially for such an important milestone. I completely understand that handmade cakes may have slight differences from a reference photo, but this was far beyond a minor variation. I expected the cake to at least resemble the design I paid for, and it simply didn't. My husband picked up this cake which is about 8 minutes from the house and by the time he got home 2 of the bows fell off. I would not order another cake from here and I hope they take customer reference photos more seriously in the future. If you are ordering based on a specific design, I would strongly recommend making sure they can actually replicate the quality and appearance shown before placing your order. Truthfully, I could've done a better job and I have 0 cake decorating experience.
