I can tell you how little they have changed in 43 years. Usually when a business has operated for that long, they've achieved well-known notoriety, yet these remain a bit of a secret. I argue they deserve all the accolades that local pride has conjured up for now defunct businesses like Bell Alley Soft Pretzels. I should've contacted Food Network a long time ago. If you swing by Reading Farmers Market be sure to grab the pretzel doughnuts. A one-of-a-kind, large, perfectly puffy, glazed doughnut, u guessed it, twisted like a knotted pretzel. I enjoy these simple yeasted doughnuts in their iced glory and have yet to come across one anywhere else. The decorated varieties at holidays are a solid choice as is the peanut butter frosted or filled. The thing that has passed is the affordability. Once upon a time you could pick to your hearts content, now they seem individually priced at a premium. Still, I'll pay for the quality & tradition that no super market with their synthesized ingredients can deliver.

Dunkin' - Desperately needs to hire quality people! Lazy workers standing around talking about drug use & trash talking/gossiping.

Ok will do ambiance is not it at this location they seem to care more for drive thru customers than actual walk in customers. With six to seven people on the shift this shouldn't be happening

I've never heard so much cussing (lost…read morecount of the number of F-bombs dropped in less than 5min wait), gossiping and trash talking about different types of people (church attendees), and laziness. This is certainly NOT a family friendly establishment! I have heard less gossip, foul language and trash talking at local bars than I did in a place where families can visit or customers should be able to sit and have a morning conversation or personal time in a peaceful setting! Horrendous! When my friend and I awaited to place an order- not typical customers of Dunkin (now I am reminded why) none of them offered assistance or made effort to interact. We felt like a burden, even having to call out "Excuse me." to the group of them gossiping away, even get our receipt. Awful! The food was average but with the lack of attentiveness, topics of conversation about excessive drug use and driving under the influence of drugs, I felt uncomfortable consuming the food and would have honestly left had it not been at the request of others to get Dunkin in the first place. The food was average. The employee quality- extremely sub-par. I would contribute it to incredibly poor management. This location needs to clean house and hire well if they intend to do maintain long term sustainability and success. If you're looking for delicious donuts and fresh coffee with more pleasant service and a more relaxed atmosphere- visit the WaWa next door instead! If spewing hatred and consistent f-bomb trash talk, entrusting individuals who brag about engaging in excessive drug use (while driving- imagine what they're doing when working with your food) and inattentive customer service is your thing- more power to you. The laziness is also apparent in the smaller details such as empty display boxes sat around (see photo of top of donut case) and some tables had crumbs from previous customers, etc. Is you have time to lean, you've got time to clean. My final recommendation- Just don't! Please avoid at all costs. Management- if you're reading this- it's time to clean house and step up your game. This is partly due to poor leadership!

What I personally love about these doughnuts , it's the "layered " part. The croissant like mix between a doughnut and a flaky croissant. They are also big doughnuts.. the flavors are good and very interesting. I got half a dozen to try as many as I could but still left some of the flavors out. Definitely opting for a full dozen next time! Another thing that makes this place stand out , is there savory doughnuts . I got one of those too because I just had to try them.. lol. I couldn't stop eating them lol they are so good! By far, my favorite doughnut in PA. They also offer Gluten free & vegan doughnut options. Which is a huge plus, since my daughter is gluten free. She said "these are the best doughnuts I've ever had" ! The place is really nice , modern like warm Bakery / coffee shop feel. The service was great too. I waited a bit for the gluten free and savory doughnuts, but the employees were very good about letting me know that they would be coming out shortly, which was nice. Will be driving 40 minutes to get my doughnut fix any day!! Definitely worth it.
