It's a review for a Shell gas station!…read more Well. I think at one point awhile back it was a Shell... then switched hands to a no-name brand (Sinclair, maybe?) and then now it's a Shell again! The switch happened a month ago according to the friendly clerk I asked inside. This Shell stood out because my usual go-to - the Shell off Brookhurst/Warner - was closed for maintenance. Shell app said this was the next nearest station. Cost-wise, I was a bit nervous, because it was nearly 60 cents/gallon less than other Shell stations in the area. I figured my picky car would let me know if it turned out to be subpar fuel. They have plenty of pumps here - well suited to serve the population since its so close to the 405 freeway. Convenience store has a lot of various sundries, drinks, snacks. Friendly clerks. There's also a car wash on-site. I'll report back if it turns out my car doesn't like the cheaper gas here. I know he's picky and will only be happy on Shell's 91 octane. He doesn't even like Costco gas. Hopeful that my usual Shell station opens up soon - in the meanwhile, this will be go-to.

Non-likes: - Gas overpriced. At $5.399/gal, I paid $70 for my tank. Wish my GPA was that high. - I miss that they used to have an Amazon pick-up locker here. - If you're unlucky, a time-consuming customer will be taking up the only clerk's time, so you have to stand and wait for them to finish their business. May just wanna pay self-service via card.

After 2 phone calls and me having a fit inside the store, about getting a broken tank, that was licking propane. The dude finally exchanged my messed up propane tank. Please be advised to save your receipts!! Otherwise you will be treated like a dumb dork. I was forced to pull out my email of payment and scream at them how mad I was and to keep the broken tank! The Hindu dude needs to improve on his social cue's and how to ask proper questions with out not being offensive or just flat out condescending.
