Gas. Coffee. maybe Lotto. The end. Also takes all types of payment but I prefer to use cash. End up usually with some change and I get Lotto or coffee. I do enjoy me a good cup of Joe and gas stations seem to always have fresh coffee. BONUS: I hate having grubby feeling hands after pumping gas, and there is a sink right next to the food area. SO i got to do a good wash right after getting the gas and before grabbing coffee. Went in for drinks today & was yelled at & told no because worker was incompetent and too lazy to answer a simple question about the offered deals that was posted on the fridge doors & windows. Nowhere was I rude and I was the only customer in there so why the hell was he so hostile to me? Don't go here unless it's just for gas. Trash workers & service. I went into this gas station, gas tank on "E" around 2pm today and was turned away by the rudest cashiers ever! All three cashiers told me they couldn't take my money to get gas because they were in the middle of a shift change. What's really going on Chevron? I thought you were in the business of making money not refusing it. Your employees should never turn customers away. I recently downloaded the Chevron app and was so excited to use my 1st discount of $1.00 off per gallon, not to mention my gas tank was on low. I'm not sure who's managing this location but on a Friday in mid day, you should have more than one cash register at a time. Y'all made me go to Exxon to get my gas. SMOG CHECK! I get gas here from time to time and I remembered their "smog check" sign after receiving my registration renewal which this year required me to certify my car was running clean. They were friendly, super-fast, and it only cost $48. What more do you want from a service station that will take care of this mundane task? Oh, yes, they have a mini-mart so I can get some M&Ms to snack on while I wait! For some odd reason, a couple of the Chevron gas stations in my area have now converted to Unocal 76. I don't really mind, but I sorta liked the Techron mixed in the Chevron gas. Looking for an alternative fueling station, this Chevron located on the corner of South/Orangethorpe & Carmenita/Moody is the closest one. What used to be unique about this intersection was that at one time, there used to four service stations, one on each corner. That was years ago, but if my memory serves me correct - Shell, Mobile, Unocal 76, and the last man standing, Chevron. I don't think I know of any other place that used to be like this. Do you? Earlier this year, this filling station remodeled and opened an ExtraMile convenience store. After that, gas prices seemed to drop significantly. For instance, I fueled up tonight for $3.19 per gallon for 91 octane gas. Damn cheap, considering today's prices. I might just have to trek myself over here and avoid the other ones around me. That's about 15 cents less than the competition. KEEP CALM BECAUSE I HAVE GAS. read more

Inaccurate pumps here that rip you off. A few times I was able to buy more gas than the capacity of my truck... Attached is a pic of my gas can showing how much gas you get for 2 gallons. They are shady too. If you report them, they recalibrate temporarily and send an inside guy to check saying everything is within spec. Just avoid businesses like this altogether. Stay away. The pumps require you to manually hold them in order for the gas to pump. If you're going to use a credit card you have to go inside and you can't just fill up because you have to use a specific amount. Such a pain. read more

This Chevron is located on South & Moody. It is opened 24 hours, which I find convenient. The employees that work here are usually quite friendly. I have couple incidents of getting gas here even very late or very early in the morning and there were no problems. The workers here are quite friendly and thankful. Prices here are relevantly fair comparing to other gas stations. One of the lowest price gasoline stations around in the area. Great addition to the station was the extra mile store. Much better selection then before. The staff can be a hit or miss at times. The only thing I hoped for was a car wash. read more

The lot is designed very poorly. Too cramped. Too many pumps that aren't working, making the wait even longer and the lot even more cramped. The pump did not automatically stop and gasoline spilled out all over my car. I was not compensated even though I had to pay the extra amounts since the pump did not stop. I use to get gas here for about 3 years but not any more he always charges about 4 or 5 cents more per gal than the Chevron down the street it did not bug me till now... he charges up to 10c more per gal to use your atm or credit card forget it if you drive 1 block more to Orangethorpe ave and Walker they do not charge you to use your card! you can save up to 15c a gal that is almost 10 bucks I save to fill my tank.. they do have a line at the other Chevron but its not bad compared to how this guy is almost empty a lot.. read more

The rating is for the garage services. I've had many oil changes and other minor work done (transmission flush, brake pad replacements, etc.) and they have very fair prices. Unlike a dealer they don't "recommend" unnecessary services. I don't get gas here as it's almost always 5-10 cents cheaper down the street at the busier Chevron on South/Moody. read more

One of the more convienient gas stations in the area but the best part is the .99 cent coffee.

I have had 3 oil changes at this station recently and have been pretty pleased. Most weeks there are pennysaver coupons which apply to most cars and suv's at $16.99. They have never hit me up for a new air filter or tried to sell me anything else, like an extra 1/2 quart of oil at the inflated 1 quart price, etc. I have never written about a service station, but this place to me seems to be the best, after being ripped off at other oil change places. read more

the following was my review for the chevron close to the 91fwy on orangethorpe in La Palma: up until the other night, i would've given this La Palma chevron probable 6 stars due to it's very competitive pricing and supposedly better quality gas. the arco across the street don't get as much business as this one even if arco is 15 cents a gallon cheaper. but this place can get costco-busy! so the other night as i was about to holster the hose back to the pump, i noticed the METER WAS STILL RUNNING BUT NOT PUMPING GAS. so i put the hose back to my tank to see if anything was coming out.. NOPE! and the meter was still running. not very fast but still. i was dumbfounded. i didn't even fill my tank full. so i pulled my iphone out and took video. showed it to the guy, forgot his name, and asked my how much it ran for. i'm like, i dont know. he goes, YOUR SUPPOSED TO KNOW! im like, HOW? who knows if it wasn't pumping out gas the whole time the meter was pumping?!? he calls his boss-woman ANGELICA. showed her the video and my receipt. she told me the same thing and they said, IT CAN'T BE MORE THAN FIVE DOLLARS COZ THE MACHINE CAN'T DO THAT and offered me to come back the following day to speak with the manager. so i thought i'd just do that coz it's pointless to talk to those two unprofessional attendants and maybe the manager was a bit more educated. got back to my car, reviewed the video, and thought i probably shouldn't waste my time to go back the following day to just get a few bucks back, so i came back and just asked for 5 bucks. boss-woman goes NOPE, and says the machine wont run that long. so i go, ok whatever give me 3. they gave me 2 bucks. whatever. they took my number and info for that 2 bucks, but never got a call back from the manager the following day. so who knows that for the years i've been going here thinking i'm getting a better deal, i'm actually getting ripped off? maybe that was a one-time pump malfunction. i'm hoping so. it could've happened somewhere else. but the way it was handled by the attendants, was far below a loyal customer deserved to be treated. so today, i filled my wife's car at the other chevron on SOUTH AND CARMENITA, less than a mile away from the station being reviewed and across the street from my house. 5-10 cents more, cheaper if you pay cash. for a full tank, the difference is about 2 bucks. but NO LINES, NO LOW LIFES TO COMPETE WITH. the windshield cleaner/squeegee are clean and always has soap. attendant is very personable. didn't know the gas station i should've been going to for years was literally just around the corner. read more
