I ONLY give 5 stars when it's deserving, and this company is very much deserving of 5 stars! If you read all of the FIVE STAR reviews, you will notice that everyone pretty much says the same thing about the quality of service that is provided. I have to completely agree with them all. The consideration and care for my vehicle was superb. I was concerned with who I would use because my Cadillac CTS sits very low to the ground, and if not careful, damage could easily be done to the body of the car, however, G & L Towing made me feel immediately comfortable about putting my car on the flatbed. Additionally, the driver drove very carefully the entire time. He didn't act as if he were in a rush to drop me off and get to the next job. Instead, he treated both myself and my car with immaculate care! I will DEFINITELY be using him again! As it relates to the "1 Star" review that is posted to Yelp, I truly believe the review should be removed. The person posted 1 Star because the company was too far from them to offer service! Blew a spark plug out of my F150's engine on my way down to Detroit for some work over the weekend. Gary was very helpful and was there within the hour to tow it back to my preferred mechanic in Berkley MI at a very reasonable price. 5 minutes before Gary showed up, my mechanic called me back saying they couldn't help me with the repair I needed... obviously a super stressful situation! When Gary arrived I told him I was trying to find a mechanic that could take care of the repair, and that's when he suggested his preferred mechanic at Johnny's S & J Auto. While standing in the 5 degree cold, he called S & J, confirmed they could handle the work, and setup my appointment. I gave him my keys and he took care of the rest! Gary was a LIFE SAVER!!! The ball joint busted on my front driver's side tire while I was driving and I was stuck with not a lot of money and no other options. I called Gary and he gave me a great flat rate over the phone and met me at the car right away. He still stuck to his flat rate price even when he discovered my job was a little more of a pain in the ass than anticipated during his prime time hours. He gave us a ride to the mechanic and offered to drive us home. He was nothing but pleasant and helpful the entire time. The front lower ball joint broke on my Jeep. I checked a few towing companies. G+L was a little less expensive and was the only company that would agree to take on the towing job in the late afternoon. After I decided on G+L and confirmed the job with them, their driver arrived within 10-15 minutes. He managed to get my Jeep on his flatbed without causing any further damage to the now disconnected tire. Then he drove me and my Jeep 13 miles to the mechanic. I didn't have cash on me, so after we dropped the Jeep off, he drove me by an ATM and then by my house. Great Service. Great price & even better service! Not only did Gary give me a great rate, he also went above and beyond to get the job done. I was having a car that had been sitting in a garage for 2+ years. It wouldn't start, and the brakes were stuck. In the half-hour (at least) it took for us to get it out, Gary was extremely helpful and even helped me in trying to push it out, to no avail. Needless to say, at the rate he charged me, he definitely did not have to do anything other than pull the car on an drive away...but he did, and didn't charge me anything additional. G&L is now on my short list of "call this guy" recommendations I give to friends, and they should be on yours. read more

I cannot begin to say how thankful and grateful I am for this company. The tow truck got there rather quickly (within 10 minutes). My tire was kicked out and lifting it onto the bed would have caused me fender damage. Gary did absolutely everything he could to make sure that didn't happen. He spent a ton of time and effort trying to figure out a way to get me and my car home safely without any added issues/damage. And thankfully he was successful. Called to see if they accept credit cards. They couldn't at this time, but did accept a check. Texted Gary my info and he was there within the hour, like he said he would be. He gave me a ride to the collision shop and was even kind enough to hang around and drop me back off, saving me some time and money on paying to get a ride home. That alone made me create a Yelp account so I could leave a review. Another reviewer already said it best: "More like dealing with a buddy than a business." NO NEED TO LOOK FOR ANY OTHER TOW COMPANY FOLKS! Let me just start off by saying how friendly and professional this company is. After calling 6 other towing company's in the area. Gary, gave me one of the best prices that was in the area. He also came within an 1/2 hour from the time of my request for a tow, on a late Saturday afternoon. Friendly, polite and efficient. When I called, Gary was eating lunch, let me know it was a noisy restaurant and asked if he could call me back. 10 minutes later I got the call back and we set up a pick up for my truck. Gary was quick and efficient at getting my truck out of the parking spot so he could hook up to it. Gary waited for me to talk with the Ford guys and find out where they wanted to drop the truck as well. Super job out there, cost was good for a 19 mile tow as well! read more

Great guy. I had my truck at my mechanics house in Mount Clemens for pads and rotors turns out I needed a new master cylinder and the brakes would not work. I called at about 6pm on a Tuesday night and he was on the compete other side of town for a doctors appointment. Once he left his appointment, he quickly rushed home to grab his tow truck and gave me a great deal from mount Clemens to Rochester Hill. Gary was great! Called him and he answered right away letting me know that he had me covered. Even though he ran into traffic, because of a situation on I-75, he kept in contact with me so that I wasn't worried. Sunday afternoon with a dead battery: I called a couple of places first - just going down the list of tow companies I've worked with before and each place told me "no". Came across G&Ls listing and gave them a try. My call was answered immediately and Gary arrived very quickly. Within a minute he had me up and going again much to my relief. Gary and Dave managed to tow both of my vehicles on one truck, which was great since the journey was 32mi one way. One vehicle had a seized wheel and he managed to break it free. It was a circus rotating the vehicles around for optimal vehicle placement on the truck, but Gary and Dave are ringmasters. I don't typically leave reviews but Gary was too amazing not to. My car was completely dead and we couldn't put my car into neutral to tow it to the shop. We both thought I was hopeless and was completely stranded with my dead car over in the states (I'm Canadian). Eventually we figured out an override option for my Charger and off to the shop we went. Positively one of the best towing experiences. Despite having several unexpected circumstances, Gary found a way to get things done where other companies would have thrown their hands up, said "screw it", and charged a trip fee for showing up. Gary did a great job! I needed to move a 87 camaro home. The problem was the car had not been moved for 4 years. He got it moved and even worried about the flat tires and unloading. Gary took the time to use our air compressor to inflate each tire. He did an amazing job of putting car in the backyard with out hitting any plants.The cost was really reasonable. Service was great, prompt and at reasonable price. I spoke with Gary and he set up a time to pick up my daughter's car from our house and drop it off at the mechanics.
