Craig's has been amazing for all my car repair needs. First I had overheating issues which they were able to diagnose to a bad radiator which they replaced swiftly. Then recently my alternator died while I was driving on the highway and they were able to give me a tow and replaced it right away as I had to travel upstate that night. My car stopped this last Saturday. The starter wouldn't go, and there were no lights on the dashboard - even the clock on the radio was dead. AAA came out and figured out pretty quickly that the cable to the battery was frayed. AAA got me started, and then I drove straight to Craig's Auto Electric. They're closed on Saturday, but Jim was working, and he confirmed right away that the battery cable was bad. He installed a new cable (and waived the usual diagnostic fee), and I picked the car up on Sunday. I'm not saying you can get weekend service from these guys all the time (I do hope they take some days off!), but this was indicative of a serious service attitude. Craig's is not a luxury destination - not a fancy franchise operation. It's basically a hole-in-the-wall garage. But don't let curb appeal or lack thereof dissuade you from considering this garage next time you need auto electric services. read more

Jimmy at Craig's Auto Electric is awesome! I brought my car in for a faulty window switch- the window rolled down and I couldn't get it back up! He did everything he could to service my car immediately knowing that I did not feel comfortable with the window wide open. Not only did he beat the quote I received at Pep Boys, he offered me a ride while my car was in the shop. He was very persistent in communicating with me and I did not at all feel like I was being ripped off. I truly believe he went above and beyond. Very rude and wasn't willing to help me out with my issues I had with my vehicle, I called them to assist me in finding a way to correct my battery light coming on and an ignition switch issue I was having but his lunch was more important then helping me. The guy just told me that he's on lunch and to drop it off so he can get to it when he can. Sorry bud I'm not paying you a dime till you at least tell me what it could possibly be and how much to check it out if there is a charge but if your not going to give me the time of day cause your sandwich is more important than the business you get than I'll take my business elsewhere, I would not recommend this place at all and it sucks that it's just right around the corner from my house! read more

I took my car in to get the power locks and windows fixed along with an oil change over summer of 2019. They charged me 300 dollars for all of it, except they couldn't fix the power locks at all, and the power windows worked for 30 seconds then broke again. Maybe I should have said something right away, but I could not afford to be charged another 300 dollars. Very nice people, but it really sucks spending 300 dollars on an oil change. I think they're good for common car issues, but presenting themselves as experts on auto-electric makes one think they are specialists at, well, automobile electrical issues. But after holding on to my car for a week (which is detrimental when you work full time and go to law school part time) only to charge me 300 dollars and basically say they'd have to charge me 300 more to figure out the power locks, I can't just take that without saying something. read more

I called AAA for a battery jump, and after a minute, they told me I had electrical problems- needing more than just a new battery. Craig's drove out to my car and played with the charger n battery, and sure enough they got it running in no time. A family owned and operated business that knows auto, especially electrical. read more

NOT the shop that it used to be. Two weeks ago my car developed yet another oil leak, so bad it was shooting oil all over the back of my engine. I was out of town at the time. Limped my car into a shop and was told that the valve cover gasket that Craig's had installed just 7 months ago had failed. Turned out, when doing the replacement that Craig's had changed 2 out of 4 O rings instead of replacing all 4??. Burned out not just my coil pack but also destroyed my catalytic converter. Bobby the owner of Craig's told me to bring in the parts that they had installed. Upon bringing them in for inspection. Bobby would not even listen to me. Bobby came to the counter and told me to leave his building and NEVER return. My family had been very good customers for going on 13 years. So much for loyalty. read more
