My daughter started at 4 taking one class a week and her love for dance blossomed from there, she now takes 6 classes and has found her passion of dance. I also like how the school includes the children to get a chance to learn and work with professional dancer and are included in their productions.

Lots of favoritism here and they roll out the same tired old productions year after year! Not inspiring for dancers at all. TDN you are a challenge…read more As the parent of a student who went there for three years, I've had ups and downs with this place. The instructors seem to truly care, but our last two lacked discipline and classes can sometimes get rowdy. Quieter children, like mine, are in the shadow of louder kids who do a lot of whatever they want. Many guardians hang out in the lobby, but unlike other dance studios, there is no attempt to make a community of parents. The lobby in this location could also use a good deep clean. Songs and routines are fun and the kids are in to them. This is the good stuff. The location is also killer if you live in Lawrenceville. The recitals here are mixed. In some ways they are very fun. The first one we had at TCNJ went off without a hitch. The last two haven't been as smooth, and the practice for this last recital was a joke. They were incredibly disorganized, there was nothing for young kids to do backstage, and my wife waited for a while for a parent to show up. None did so she just hung out backstage for pretty much the whole rehearsal. At the end of the day, this is a decent dance studio. If you're not taking things too seriously and you're looking for a convenient location, you probably won't go wrong here. That said, we've had experience with a number of places, and this one wasn't exactly on the top of our list. As convenient as it was, we ultimately decided not to come back. This may or may not end up working for you.

I walked in, nervous and timid, and I was welcomed with open arms. I felt the warmth of the staff from the second I entered the building. The storefront is bright, clean and full of life, (literally because there are plants everywhere). There are 3 different yoga spaces. The smallest is called the cozy studio and can fit about 10-13 comfortably. The main studio can fit up to 32 and they also have a studio upstairs in the loft where they offer Aerial Yoga and YogaBaree classes. The variety and amount of classes is quite impressive. All of the instructors are incredibly experienced and provide more than just the physical practice of yoga. Most instructors include a great deal of the philosophical teachings of yoga that the practice is based on. I fell in love with yoga because of this studio and after practicing for some time, I decided to go through their teacher training program. This was the most valuable and transformative decision I have ever made. I am now a verified 200 hour RYT. Honor Yoga is an amazing company that is growing larger every day and spreading the joy and connection that yoga offers. I highly recommend this studio to all levels. We have had the great fortune of seeing some good productions here and the process is very easy. The website is user friendly and there is always a smiling face at will call. The theater is cozy and there doesn't seem to be any bad seats. The set productions are top notch considering the restraints of a small stage. We are introducing some friends to the theater for a show in August 2019 as the box office was gracious enough to change our original two night performance tickets to afternoon and add two more. But, Mr. Harris was willing to accommodate and had some junior teachers teach. Junior teachers are also okay but don't have a hold on the class. Nevertheless, they will let the kids play and also learn. However, the facility is now run by Ms. Kiernen. Some teachers think one size fits all and a stern attitude or yelling will get you far with kids. Ms. K will fall into this category. Add to it her high school teaching training, and it does not get better. My wife is a professor of child education and finds this teaching method ineffective in the long run. I withdrew the kids after Ms. Kiernen yelled at the 5-year old kids. The class was being held by junior staff but intervened by Ms. K. There was a lack of consistency in the teaching style from one staff to another. Post covid, it can be a great place as well, depending on who runs it.
