The water restoration company requested that the snow and gutter ice be removed before they could begin the mitigation process. Given the cold weather and snow storms, it was difficult to schedule an appointment with a snow removal company. Subsequently, we found American Roofing & Snow Removal ("ARSR") during a google search. We called the phone # on Yelp, and the owner--Alex Stevens--responded immediately. They had a crew available that afternoon, and we signed a contract that stated ARSR would: "Remove all ice and snow from sections of roof of property where needed all ice and snow will be removed from deck of roof and gutters and downspouts and also remove all snow and ice . To remove snow ice we will be using a pet friendly sodium and calcium melts and tools and heating elements. After snow and ice is removed we will inspect damage and consult with home owner options on repairs to stop current water damage." The hourly rate was $250/hour and they only accept cash. The crew estimated that ~ 30 inches of snow accumulated on the roof. The attached pictures illustrate the snow removal and existing gutter ice. They did not remove "all ice" from the gutters and downspouts per our signed agreement. They told us it would take 24-48 hours for the calcium to melt the ice. The pictures were taken on Sunday 2/21/21, and the gutters are still filled with ice. I texted and called Alex over the weekend, and demanded that he return and de-ice the gutters. He has not been responsive, and has been elusive. He will not confirm a time to finish the work for which we compensated him. I will update our review if ARSR completes their obligation outlined in their contract.

DO NOT HIRE! My…read morecondo building hired Angelita for snow removal in 2021. We were excited to give our business to a new, minority owned company. Unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. Gordons Class rarely came out on time, were uncommunicative and generally very unprofessional to deal with. I finally had a long conversation with Angelita where she apologized and clarified what they would fix moving forward, and we gave them a second chance for the '21/'22 winter. Their service was even worse than the year before -- they did not come out on time, increased their pricing without telling us and completely changed their contract terms. They had an excuse for everything. Do not believe anything this company tells you, and do not hire them for any lawn care or snow removal.

They did some nice landscaping for us, as well as our common areas, have been taken care of our snow and ice, too. But I don't know what's going on over there right now. Specifically, snow removal has been in particularly slow. It has me concerned because we haven't had that much of it. I get that when there's a crush, it's gonna take a minute. But when snow removal for a few inches that came overnight doesn't even begin until late in the afternoon the next day, that's a problem. Especially when there's no communication. I just worry that in their absence, somebody will slip and hurt themselves. And then it's the association's problem for not getting the snow cleared. With that, there is no snow right now. It's been a couple weeks since they've been here. For some reason, we have to keep sending asks for where they are. We get speedy responses, but it's getting to be a lot of work to be their customer. To be honest, we are looking for other vendors.
