I have dealt with Les O'hara for many years, and know this company very well, They have performed…read moregood work in the past. But there is something going on there and Mr. Ohara is not the same person, nor is the company not the same company it was. Just look at their name changes. From Avondale Roofing to Ohara roofing to North Shore Brick, one company sold, but Mr. Ohara having full control at all times. Look, I don't care, I just want my roof done. So I have had my share of positive and negative experiences with them. Some of their guys do good work, Sometime not so good. But let me give you an example of my final dealing with this company. They came out to fix a leak on my roof. And then the following week, we had a literal flood in my office. I called Mr. Ohara, and he sent someone out promptly. And he admitted he made a mistake, someone dropped a brick through my roof. He would patch the roof and make it right. Ok, I told him I had internal damage. Turns out, I took care of it all myself. I had my staff steam clean my carpeting, but I had to hire a company to replace ceiling tile and clean all my wet files. I forwarded to him a minimal bill for 730.00 that I have to pay for the damage. Mr. Ohara, in his wisdom (and likely old age) said he decided he is not going to pay for the damage, and I should hire a lawyer. Really? Doesn't he stand behind his workmanship? Apparently that has changed over the years. Its not that important to him. I trusted him for many years now, and even put up with all these new people and changes. Frankly, I talked to his staff and found out Mr. Ohara wants out of the business, and doesn't want to deal with any of this anymore. And I guess this is his way of showing it. A shame, that I will have to find a new roofing company. I thought they were more reputable than this.

When you're ready for a great awning at a very reasonable price, call GutterGlove! They were out…read morewithin 2 days after my initial contact. The salesman, Luke, was a true professional who worked with me to customize the best awning for my home. As soon as the awning was delivered, Gutter Glove was out that week and the install was completed. I subsequently needed some minor service and they again were quick to respond and out at my home in days to resolve the issue. A couple tips: GET THE LED LIGHTS! Worth every penny. Don't get a manual crank, go with the remote controlled automatic awning, again worth it. Try to avoid using UPS, they were horrible, not GutterGloves fault, just some disrespectful and unprofessional employees in UPS' freight department. Again, GutterGlove-Sunsetter awnings are great in the rain and for those hot days when you want to be outside. It kept me dry while on my deck and dropped the temp approx 20 degrees to keep me cool. Again, thanks GutterGlove, a definite A+ business and I've already referred two friends to them. -John Chicago, IL.
