Apparently I had…read morereceived defective carpet, so it would pull out easily and also the carpet had a pattern stain that you could clearly see once vacuumed. It also had several gaps where the seams met. The installers assured me this was normal and that the seams would fade. I was shocked considering the price we paid for the carpet. Also, I asked a few experts in the area and they also agreed this was not correct at all. Well two weeks later and it honestly looked worse. So I called them back. They "fixed" the seams they said and left. I didn't have a chance to look before they left as I was on a work call. I checked shortly after and same deal. I ended up calling my project manager at Sunn and she came right out to check. Well lo and behold, she immediately could tell something was wrong even though the installers assured me twice that everything was ship shape. She had me send over a piece of the carpet to get tested by the vendor. That ended up being about a one month waiting period. The vendor got back to me and agreed that the carpet was defective and offered a full replacement at zero charge. They were extremely compassionate and empathetic, so it made me feel much better since the installers made me feel like I was going nuts. So we got the second install done on the carpet and it is MUCH better. There are still issues at a couple seams, so I am not 100% thrilled. But it did take care of the major issues we had. To be honest, I was pretty surprised the whole time that the GM or owner of Sunn carpet didn't follow up on this at all. The only thing that saved them from a one star review was their project manager to be honest. So I am so appreciative of her help in all of this. But I do think that better quality control would help this company a lot. Also, a follow-up after install to ensure customer satisfaction should be standard. But it is what it is. I would be a bit hesitant to use them for my next fooring project given the circumstances. But at least it wasn't left in the state of the first install. DM me if you would like the first or second install pics. If I posted the first install pics here I think it would severely hurt this business, so I refrained from that.

He gave us samples to take home and see how they looked in the house, then came out and measured everything. The guy who delivered the wood wasn't the fastest unfortunately, but the guys who installed it were great. They worked hard and consistently, not slacking off or messing around with their time. They were economical with their cuts, so there was still quite a bit of wood left over which I kept in case of damage in the future. They cleaned everything up very well and left the home looking great.

Hard wood floors will never need replacing, and can always be supplemented in areas with very cushy, beautiful area rugs - I'm kind of learning this the hard way. Pun intended. Go to a job site and find some workers putting in Carpet and have them do it independently. With this company, you have to pay the person that comes out and does your estimate, you have to pay the company for their services, you have to pay the workers for their work, you have to pay For the carpet itself. It's all "inclusive". But nah, last time I'll do this, that's for sure. It is now June 30th, and, after two months, I am cancelling my order after the fourth missed install date. The reason given is that the carpet binder (a person, not a machine) has gotten backed up due to personal problems. I would like to think that an enterprise as old and as large as Empire Today would have multiple resources for this type of work. That said, I am processing a full refund as I type this review. Unless you are a commercial customer, it can be argued that you will not be that important to this company. No apologies were ever given for the constant rescheduling. They just issued my refund order and told me to have myself a very good day. I have missed four work days for this, and I'm sure glad I hadn't paid for a house full of flooring.

Cristy was on time for every single appointment and followed up with us timely. My mother who lived with us passed the weekend before our installation was scheduled and Cristy made it so easy to reschedule. She even brought a card and flower by and dropped it off. I never expected that and it was so incredibly thoughtful. Finally the day came for installation. We went to stay at a hotel to get out of their way, we have a 9 month old who is into everything, so we thought it would be better to be out of the house. Cristy checked in with us daily to ensure we knew what was going on and if we were on schedule. The team was professional. They stayed later in the evening several nights to ensure the floors were completed in a timely manner.
