Every ding and scratch I get, G&C has helped navigate the insurance and get the job done right!

I had my repaired at G&C after an accident. I was surprised by how quickly they were able to repair my car. They were able to get the parts and do all the work in less than a week. They were careful in their inspections and replaced all parts with OEM replacements. I was kept informed during the whole process. Excellent service and work. read more

G & C Autobody in Ukiah "fixed" my dad's windshield in 2021 or 2022 and it started leaking in January 2025. The dealer said that the windshield install was poorly done. We cannot find the receipt, and G & C Autobody says they only keep the receipt for 18 months -- that seems like a lie to me to get out of fixing something that was their fault. This caused signficant damage and they aren't going to make it right. Don't get your windshield replaced here! read more

My brother in law, who is physically handicapped, during a move from Eureka to Santa Rosa was driving his 2014 BMW, spilled a drink and ran off the road, hit a tree and ended up in a ravine. He suffered bruises, but survived. The car suffered front end damages, passenger side wheels destroyed and rear bumper wrecked. It was towed to G&C. They dealt with the insurance co. and repaired the car. I picked it up recently and was impressed how beautiful a job they did. It looked good as new! I drove it to Santa Rosa and it ran and behaved perfectly. Bravo to all who worked on my ill brother in law's BMW. read more

G & C Autobody is by far the best company I have ever been fortunate enough to trust with repairing my car after an accident. They were recommended by my insurance provider and I'd heard great things about them, so I thought, "Alright, let's see what all the buzz is about." Immediately, from the first phone call, I could tell that they take great pride in the work they do and in the quality of the service they offer. Their receptionist was kind and reassuring on a very stressful day (I'm talking bridesmaid in a wedding only an hour after the accident levels of stress), and I am beyond grateful for her. Also, I cannot emphasize this enough: Justin is an absolute gem! He kept me up to date during every step of the repair process and explained exactly what was being done each time. He even checked in with me a few days afterwards to assure that I was 100% satisfied with the repair and offered to answer any questions or concerns. I was absolutely blown away by the level of care and attentiveness shown, so much so that it's the first thing I've been mentioning to my friends and family. As for my car? I'm not even slightly exaggerating when I say it looks just as good (if not better) than the day I drove it home from the dealership! I didn't even think that was possible! The repairs are solid, the paint job is seamless, the turnaround time was impressive, and I can rest easy knowing that the work is guaranteed under their lifetime warranty. In sum, G & C Autobody most definitely lives up to their positive reputation and they've netted themselves another loyal customer. Thanks a million, guys! read more

Given I experienced my service during two holiday weekends, the auto body work done on my car was completed in a timely manner and more importantly, the manager Justin was in contact with me throughout every step of the way. I live an hour and a half away from this autobody shop and was impressed with the service and communication I received given the distance I had to travel. I would recommend G&C autobody to anyone in my area, despite the travel time because their service was comprehensive, I knew what was going on throughout and most importantly the work done on my vehicle looks great and is guaranteed through my insurance claim process. read more

Had to get the front end of my car fixed and radiator replaced from hitting a curb way too hard! Everyone at G&C is so incredibly helpful. Even the front desk gal was always super pleasant and personable to communicate with. They sent text updates and called along the way. This is a review that highlights the integrity and customer satisfaction promise that G and C provided to me over two-years after my truck was repaired here by the previous owners, European Autobody. I had extensive work done here, even though I live in Lakeport, due to then European and now G and C being an Allstate Good Hands provider. After I received my truck back initially, there was a whistle in the right mirror that European tried twice to eliminate and told me they had, only to find out on my 45-minute drive home it was still there. This time, the shop manager, Josh, researched the claim, worked with me to get me in and taken care of in one session (the last time I left my truck for a day, having to ride my bicycle back to Lakeport and then bumming rides to work, then riding back out to pick up my truck, around 2 hrs each-way on the bicycle). We spent two-hours driving on the freeway and in the local area identifying the source of the whistle, eliminating possibilities one by one, and isolating the problem. all it took was applying insulating material to the mirror and filling a spot the size of a slice of apple pie in the interior door with gasket material, and finally Josh got the whistle to go away. I drove home without any issue and am happy to say I got rid of the whistle. This is what customer service is all about, and I would return for service, and recommend this shop without reservation. Josh is a credit to the company, and took the time himself as the manager to make this right, even though no fault of his own. read more

Geico sent me here for repairs on my Fusion. Such a wonderful first experience with a body shop- Justin did more than body work! He had my car washed and vacuumed inside and out. He was also appropriately communicative each day the car was bring repaired with a status. The actual repair work was perfect and Justin's demeanor and mannerism was polite, respectful and understanding of my frustration with the entire ordeal. He was kind enough to take my rental car back for me (late in the day) and offered me a cold water and though it was a small gesture, it was much appreciated as i had rushed out of work and came straight over to get my car on a hot day with no time to stop and get a drink. Very impressed with G and C and Justin in particular. Thank you! read more

My sister was in an accident and needed some help. Luckily the insurance chose this location to get her vehicle work done. We are not from the area and she has been living there for a few years so she wasn't familiar with a lot of the people. First impression is very professional and caring and not only that but a good staff. The weight on the fix was not very long and the work that was done on the vehicle was actually great work. The overall experience with this shop was really good and I was very impressed with not just their customer service but also the workmanship that they conducted on the vehicle. read more

Wrecked my car into a bear at the end of October. Alexis and the team worked on my car it took a while with the holidays. I was so happy and thankful they were able to work with me through that stressful time. I am so happy to have my car back and so far so good. The radiator fluid compartment thing was busted the front bumper, the front axels on the tires were busted up. I live a few hours north and the team was able to facilitate and smooth transaction and smooth pick up. Thanks again especially Alexis for dealing with me and for genuinely caring about my situation. read more

Brenda took great care of me at G&C. She handled my claim professionally and did what it took to make sure I was 100% satisfied. She kept me informed on the progress of the repair and helped me navigate things with my insurance company. I felt like she was "on my team" throughout the entire process. She even offered a rental car from G&C's fleet (which saved me from having to pay over and above what my insurance coverage allows... this was a huge selling point). I really appreciate Brenda's work ethic and kindness. If I ever need body work in the future, I would return to G&C. read more

I have heard some really good things about this shop but had a very different experience. The office is beautiful and full of "awards" recognizing their employees, they offered me water and coffee, were kind and courteous, even called me to keep me updated. I was extremely impressed... until I picked up my car. [edit: throughout the process the staff remained kind and courteous. Josh and Cathy were both helpful in resolving this process] 1: Long wait. I was called at 3:30 and told to come by at 5:45 (they close at 6:00). My wife and I sat and waited almost an hour for the car to be done. When we got there they told us they were just washing it but I was told later they took so long because they could not get the seats in. If I had known it wasn't ready I would have come back another day. Because it was dark when we left I was not able to fully inspect the car which leads me to the next point. 2: Original problem not taken care of. The car was taken in for mold removal. I have taken it back twice already because I keep finding more places they missed. It has been three weeks since we took it in and I just found more mold today. 3. Incompetent work. When reassembling my car (1973 VW Bug) they put the seat belts on the wrong side of the car even though they are labeled Right and left, scratched my paint putting the door panels in, installed the new carpet with a 2x8 inch gap in the middle of it!, and a few other small problems. When I told them I was not satisfied they switched the seat belts and told me that the rest was " better than it was before" and that insurance wouldn't pay for them to order a new carpet kit.... Despite it being their mistake that either they ordered the wrong one or installed it incorrectly. They also reassembled my door incorrectly, my window is now stuck down. I am just hoping it does not rain. The shop has not had a chance yet to address this because I just found it and they are closed today. I no longer trust them and have called my insurance to see if I can take the car elsewhere. I will update if they decide to finish the job. I hope no one else has to go through this. *Update: 2/8/2015 After getting the insurance involved and giving a bad rating on a survey, G & C Autobody has changed their tune a bit. They have had the car for a week now and hopefully I will get it back soon... and fixed. **Update 3/4/2015 G&C realized or admitted that they purchased the wrong carpet to begin with. After a delay in getting the correct carpet (it was on back order) I finally got my car back today. G&C addressed all of my issues and tried their best to make things right, I just wish they had made them right before I had to call for back up from the insurance company. They also made sure to do an extra good job of washing/cleaning out the car before giving it back to me. Too little too late to change the review from 1 to 2 stars. read more

I rarely write reviews. This time I have to say something. When I saw my car I thought it was unrepairable. I was blown away when I saw my rig for the first time. I've had some bad mechanics before. They definitely went above and beyond. This time everything was professional, explained, detailed, and communicated every step of the way. Unfortunately some cosmetic parts were on backorder. I was stressed because I might not have my car for work. Still Justin made it happen to where I was able to pick my car up on Halloween. To top it off everything was completely cleaned inside and out. I highly recommend G&C and their crew! read more

We took my car to G&C after being rear-ended. I thought the whole situation would be stressful and tedious but it wasn't at all! Justin took such good care of us and the car. He was very professional, knowledgeable and communicative during the whole process. My car was finished earlier than the original quote and in even better shape than it was before the accident. The expenses were taken care of through the other driver's insurance so there was no stress for us. In an ideal world, nobody would have to use an auto body shop but since accidents do happen I'm so glad we had G&C here in Ukiah! read more

My daughter and I were recently involved in a car accident. (it wasn't our fault and the other person's insurance company assumed responsibility for the damages). We were recommended to go to a local company G&C autobody. Let me just say that I was incredibly impressed with the level of service and professionalism that these guys delivered!! Justin was the gentleman that handled our account. He was very attentive and thorough in his explanations of the parts and what was to be replaced. I am in the hospitality business and when you meet somebody that goes out of their way to make you comfortable it is a pleasure!! Now onto the repairs. When I got our vehicle back, it looked brand new! Aside from the parts that they replaced, they went out of their way to do things like recharge my air conditioner, and they detailed my entire vehicle! Of course I do not hope to see any of my friends or family in a car accident. But if that ever happens, I will definitely recommend these guys. Five stars three diamonds and two thumbs up Keep up the good work Justin & crew! read more

Justin has been fantastic. My mother brought her car in after someone hit her. She has been hoping to have the car by a certain date in order to drive my father to an important doctor appointment in Santa Rosa. Justin calls her nearly every day to give her a status and has been dedicated to complete the work in time and quite fast. We truly appreciate this wonderful customer service! read more

Amazing customer service! I hit a deer on a trip up north, G&C was recommended to me as a great family run operation and my experience with them allows me to recommend them similarly. They were friendly and helpful beyond belief, made my claim a breeze, and as stress free as possible! Highly recommend. read more

They put my window back on track. They also replaced another window that was broken. I got a window from the junk yard and they put it in for me. It didn't cost that much but the money I paid was well worth it. They even vacuumed it and cleaned my wheels for me. I highly recommend these guys and girls they are awesome. read more

I won't use these people ever again they were recommended by AAA insurance and I have heard their ads on the radio their work was very shoddy the repair looked good at first sight but while I followed my 16 year old daughter home I noticed the license plate lights hanging down both of them, the wiring harness for the trailer lights were also hanging down, door stop missing, seat belt trims missing or no longer attached inner fender slash guards missing, mirror does not seem right ( like it came from a junkyard ), interior trim loose or broken, detail of the pick up looked as if they cleaned only half of it and not very well. I wish I could add pictures on this site so people know what to expect from this place. The staff was very nice and friendly though. read more

As auto accidents are rare events in my and my wife's experience when she had an accident in December we were pleased when a local community security officer recommended G and C. We got further verbal recommendations for G and C at the same time and chose to go with them. We found they were very responsive and helpful, even delivering the car to our home a 3 hour drive south while we were away. I hope never to need their serviced again but highly recommend them for professionalism and good work. read more

I read all the reviews before taking my car to G&C in Ukiah. All reviews I read were good, im used to waiting two weeks for repairs. It was a smooth process getting my car in right away for a quote for repairs. I was told it would be 2 days for the repair. I waited 21 days for my car and paying G&C 15 dollars a day. They gave me a 50$ discount because they stated the Ford dealership had my car. I have no idea if they did or not, the only photo updates i received were my car apart and a picture of the bumper cover. I would have been fine with the 21 days and the Ford dealer having my car that long, the worst part is my car was dirty inside and out. They threw a paper foot cover over peoples dirt and foot prints in the drivers seat. They did not vacuum or clean the car and I ended up with a BIG bonus in the trunk of my car. Its a giant piece of foam padding that I can only assume is the bumper cover shipping protection. They left their garbage in the back of my car for me to take care of. Awesome. If I could attach a picture of their garbage I would. Bummer I'll never go back. read more
